OBY EZEKWESILI, YOU ARE A SICK, DEMENTED FOOL.

NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU ARE OPPOSED TO THE GOVT, YOU DO NOT EXPRESS A WISH FOR NATIONAL PROJECTS TO FAIL.

IF YOU DO THIS, YOU ARE MAD, AND YOU ARE A SICK FOOL.

AND THOSE NL FOLKS TYPING GARBAGE IN SUPPORT OF YOUR LUNACY ARE A DISGRACE.

ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES TODAY IS BRINGING IN BILLIONS OF DOLLARS INTO THE ETHIOPIAN ECONOMY. IT IS A LARGE CONTRIBUTOR TO THEIR ECONOMIC RESURGENCE, BOOSTING TRADE, INVESTMENT, AND TOURISM IN THAT COUNTRY.

THE NIGERIANS HERE TALKING ABOUT ''provide basic amenities first'' NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE LESS RELIANT THE NATION IS ON OIL, THROUGH FOR INSTANCE A STRONG AVIATION SECTOR CHARACTERISED BY LOWER COST TRAVEL PROVIDED BY A NATIONAL CARRIER, THE BETTER IT WILL BE FOR THE ENTIRE ECONOMY.

INSTEAD OF USING YOUR BRAINS, YOU DECIDE TO SPIT ON EFFORTS BEING MADE TO IMPROVE YOUR OWN COUNTRY. YOU ARE A DISGRACE.

ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES IS TODAY THE PRIDE OF ALL AFRICA. IT IS ONE OF THE WORLD'S TOP AIRLINES.

ETHIOPIA DID NOT WAIT TO BE ABLE TO ''provide basic amenities'' FOR ALL ITS CITIZENS BEFORE ESTABLISHING THAT AIRLINE. THEY SAW THE AIRLINE AS A MEANS OF BUILDING THEIR ECONOMY SO THAT IT COULD ''provide basic amenities''.

BUT ALL NIGERIANS WANT TO DO IS SIT DOWN, DO NOTHING, AND EXPECT THE ''OIL MONEY'' TO ANSWER ALL THEIR DEVELOPMENT PROBLEMS, EVEN THOUGH BASIC RESEARCH SHOWS THE OIL INCOME IS NOWHERE NEAR SUFFICIENT TO DO THIS, FOR A COUNTRY OF 200 MILLION PEOPLE, AND THAT OTHER SOURCES OF INVESTMENT AND INCOME ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED.

BUNCH OF HOPELESS, PERENNIALLY DISGRUNTLED PEOPLE.

YOU DON'T EVEN DESERVE A NATIONAL AIRLINE TO BE HONEST..... GO BACK TO CHANCHANGI AIRLINES AND DANA AIR, AND RECEIVING INSULTS FROM FOREIGN AIR HOSTESSES ON A DAILY BASIS.

I SUSPECT YOU ACTUALLY PREFER THIS, BEING SADO-MASOCHISTS.

One common thing with Igbo's is Propaganda. 90% of the Igbo's in the North will never go back to the East no matter what it takes. They will prefer to stay and do their business in the North peacefully.
Why haven't the white Europeans left South Africa since the blacks have been giving them quit notices.

I know you're igbo and will definitely support your people but it is a known fact that igbos hardly sell land to outsiders and even when they do, the entire process seems frustrating to the person concerned.

You people keep talking about the cost of shop and/or land in onitsha. Pray tell, is land more expensive in igboland than in Lagos, Abuja or even PH? Then again you bring the issue of competitiveness as though business in the aforementioned cities are not more competitive than anywhere in igboland.

Please tell me the cost of the most expensive shop in onitsha and let's compare with the most expensive in the aforementioned cities and see which ones cannot be afforded yet yorubas and hausa in those other cities can afford them.

The reason people hardly think east when business is involved is due to the east not being economically viable and not because non-indigines can neither afford nor compete with the igbos in igboland.
The East is not economically viable? Did you listen to yourself at all? Pray tell, other than Lagos, which states are more economically viable in terms of trade and commerce than Anambra and Abia?

Yes, land in Abuja and some parts of Lagos are more expensive than land in Igbo land but why do tge Igbos own more than 73% of landed properties in tge exoensive Abuja? Are they also telling land owners to refuse selling to the Yorubas and Hausas? How about Lagos? Are tge Igbos also telling Yorubas to sell to them alone and not sell to the Hausas?

Waiting for your response.

PoliticsIgbo Man Responds To Hausa Man Who Said Igbos Are Not Accomodating by nwabobo(op):
"Igbos were allowed to establish businesses and live in other parts of Nigeria peacefully. However, they deny other tribes from simple owning shops in ALL EASTERN MARKETS! Yes! I have gone to many eastern markets for ethnic survey. And no single shop is or was allocated to non Igbo. Please if there is one market with non Igbo, please mention" - Ahmed Gume

RESPOND:
How many shops do Hausa or Yoruba people own in Cameroon, Ghana, Togo, South Africa, Malawi, Sierra-Leone, Gabon UK, United States, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong-kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Germany, China, Taiwan, South Korea, India and countless other countries all over the world.

Those are not Igbo areas after all. Perhaps, they deny you shops like the Igbo did in all these countries. Igbos own shops and do business in those countries.

This is exactly how lazy people complain when they fail in business. If you can't compete on your own land, how are you going to do that in Igboland or neutral ground?

Every Igbo city has a place exclusively mapped out for Hausas free of charge for temporary use (that is the truth they will not tell you). Of course you know, Hausa man has his own pattern of business and shops mostly in form of kiosk where he sold his patty trades and provisions on free given portion of the street.

Another good business they do in the east is money exchange and cattle business which they control in every Igbo city on a free given land; 100% fact. Go to Owerri, Umuahia, Enugu, Awka. Nnewi. Aba etc.

Igbos don't wait for free land or free portion to be allocated to them, they buy them from indigenes who always have it free by inheritance or by allocation but doesn’t know what to do with them. Only quota system worthless person will wait for allocation before he starts a business.

How many shops do Hausas have in Lagos and other south west states? or do the Yoruba deny them shops too? Can you compare the number of shops and markets owned by Hausas in Yoruba land to the number owned by the Igbos?

Igbos rent shops from the landlords. Igbos Buy lands from the host to build shops. Igbos buy land from their host to build markets. Igbos don't wait for shop or land allocations to start up their businesses.

How many markets has the Hausa built in Lagos? None. How many markets has the Yoruba build in the north? None or do the Hausa and the Yoruba deny selling land to one another too, like the Igbos denied them?

But Igbo have used their money to buy lands from south west and north and build many markets that helps to develop their regions.

To be honest, not every Igbo traders in south west or north can compete with the traders in the east. The traders in the east are real geniuses in trading. They are wizards in buying and selling more than those Igbo traders in the west and north.

You have to first compete with the Igbo traders in your own territory before you think of competing with them in their own territory. Business is based on competition, the question is, can you compete? There are shops in Onitsha main market but can you afford to rent it? Even when you do what do you intend to sell to regain your profit?.

Is it igbo man that sacrifice to be single till the age of 40 to balance his business achievements before marriage you want to compete with? Igbo man who wear warn out cloths with bathroom slippers to save money for his bussiness? Or the one that maintain just one wife you choose to compete with?....The one that married, how many children do they agreed to born, all are the sacrifices in order to save more for his business.

Nobody compete with the fulanis in their cow business or you think they don’t make money in that? Please leave the igbos alone, business is their God given talent.

“Any Attack On Easterners Will Mark The Apocalyptic End Of Nigeria” – IPOB To Miyetti Allah

We the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it’s leadership worldwide view with utter contempt the recent statement credited to the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) over the recent commendable decision by South East governors to ban illegal movement of cattle between states in the region. The arrogant tone of their statement and implied threat contained therein, against Igbo lives and businesses in the north, points clearly to an impending hostile response from them, which IPOB is both duty and honour bound not to ignore.

We must make it abundantly clear that any attack against Igbo lives and businesses in the north, will be met with commensurate response in the south. Threats and large scale invasions of territories in the Middle-Belt may have had the effect of subduing indigenous Tiv resistance to the Fulani hegemonic juggernaut in the Middle Belt and total collapse of morale in the West, given what happened at Ado-Ekiti PDP rally on Wednesday July 11, 2018. One inevitable outcome of any premeditated attack on Igbo people and easterners living in the north, will mark the beginning of the apocalyptic end of Nigeria as we know it.

The sensible decision of hitherto docile South-East Governors to avoid wholesale breakdown of law and order in their region, through the banning of herdsmen activities, should be applauded by Arewa Consultative Forum, Sokoto Caliphate and all advocates of peaceful coexistence in Nigeria, not derided through the mouthpiece of Fulani terrorists the MACBAN. Given that 70% of Nigeria’s land mass is in the north, as we have been boastfully reminded by many government officials and core northerners over the years, it stands to reason and common sense that ranching activities is better suited to the north not ‘tiny’ ‘landlocked’ South-East.

Those northern voices that continually pressured Igbo leaders and governors to mistakenly ban IPOB are today silent against the murderous antecedents of their own kith and kin the Fulani terror herdsmen. Had IPOB not been ill-advisedly banned by South-East governors and Igbo socio-cultural leaders, MACBAN would not have had the guts to issue such an insulting statement against Igbo lives and business interests in the north.

All South-East and South-South governors must be guided by a popular proverb in Igboland that says, only an irrational man kills his native doctor when those that wish to poison and harm him are still very much around and multiplying. Arewa Consultative Forum and their foot soldiers the MACBAN must know that IPOB will never tolerate their excesses.

Fulani terrorist which are in effect Islamic Jihadi soldiers disguised as cattle breeders, cannot be accorded legal protection which is what ranching is seeking to confer on them. Quite literally, a license to kill.

It remains the duty of our creator and eternal master, the highly civilized British government, to reign in their favorite but destructive child, the Fulani, before it’s too late. Nobody is contesting the fact that Nigeria belongs to Britain or the preeminence of Fulani caliphate in the affairs of Nigeria as ordained by them. What we IPOB are asking for and on behalf of those other ethnic nationalities in the Middle-Belt that are too weak to speak for themselves, is to be left alone in peace in the land of our ancestors.

The fate of Somalia is an ever present reminder of what can become of a country, when a stubborn tribe or recalcitrant head of state is hell-bent on taking the path of political suicide.

FG APPROVES N206BN FOR 2ND NIGER BRIDGE
source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2018/07/fg-approves-n206bn-for-2nd-niger-bridge.html

The federal government has approved the sum of N206 billion for the link road and associated infrastructures of the second Niger Bridge. This was disclosed by the minister of information, Lai Mohammed after the federal executive council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa yesterday. Eyes Of Lagos ga,thered that He made the briefing on behalf of the ministry of power, works and housing . According to him, the contract was awarded to Julius Berger, pointing out that the project was a PPP project under the last administration which failed and the federal government had to take over the project. He said, “Also approved today is the contract for the link road and associated infrastructure for the second Niger Bridge. If you remember, this time last week I was in Onitsha and Asaba inspecting the second Niger Bridge. “Today,FEC has now approved the award of the link road, the bridge itself is just 1.95km, but the link road is 11.9km and this contract was awarded to Julius Berger for the sum of N206bn. It will include not just the link road but also associated infrastructure and you know this bridge is linking Anambra and Delta states . “Remember that the project was conceived by the last administration under a PPP arrangement which failed and that is why the federal government had to take over this contract”. “So far about N14bn had been paid to contractors handling the bridge and the contract today that was awarded is for the link and associated infrastructure that will link the bridge. He also disclosed that the council approved the re-award of the contract for the rehabilitation of the Oji- Achi- Mmaku- awgu- ndeabor road in Enugu State . He said the contract was approved at the sum of N11.558,6976(11bn) and was awarded to messr setraco Nigeria limited with a completion period of 24 months. Mohammed also said the minister of finance sought the council ‘s approval for the financial transparency policy guidelines. “This memo was approved and I think the unique thing about this memo is that it going to bring more transparency to how government revenue and account are being handled. “As a matter of fact, with the approval of this memo it will now be possible for the public to know exactly how much revenue is collected by the government, how much is being spent just by going on the website of the various ministries, department and agencies,” he stated . He stated that the memo by the minister of state for petroleum sought the council ‘s approval for a revised estimate total cost for the engineering, procurement and construction of the OB3 gas pipeline project. He said,”again this is a project that has been awarded but there was a need for the cost of the redesigning to seek for council ‘s approval so that there will be enough funds to execute the project. “The project is important because it has to do with the delivery of gas from the eastern part of the country to the power turbines and to improve our power supply. This contract is awarded to Nestor limited and Olisa limited and the total cost of the contract is usd92m and N765. 968m these were the memos that was considered and approved” . During his briefing, the Minister of state solid minerals, Bawa Bwari stated that the major challenge in the diversification programme of the government in the mining sector had been that of data. He disclosed that council approved the contract for exploration and consultancy on some of the administration’s targeted minerals like gold, industrial minerals, earth metals, iron ore.

PoliticsRe: 2nd Niger Bridge: FG Approves N206bn Anambra, Delta Link Road by nwabobo: 4:54am On Jul 05, 2018
15Ebisco:
The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved the contract for a 11.9-kilometre link road for the Second Niger Bridge.

The road that cut across Anambra and Delta states will gulp N206bn.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of a meeting of the council presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Mohammed explained that the contract for the link road also included the provision of associated infrastructure for the bridge.

He said the contract was awarded to Julius Berger Plc, which is already working on the project.

The minister stated that the Public Private Partnership model adopted for the project by the last administration had failed but that the present government was determined to complete it.

He added that the council awarded a contract for the rehabilitation of a road in Enugu State for N11.58bn.

According to him, the council also approved contracts for the provision of consultancy services and mining exploration at the cost of N12.7bn.

Mohammed added that the FEC ratified a multilateral competent agreement to assist in curbing tax evasion and improve revenue collection.

He said the council approved the Africa Project 50th Article of Association with two windows to allow for project finance by the Africa Development Bank as well as the Financial Transparency Policy Guideline memo, which would allow for more transparency on how government revenue were being handled.

He explained, “The three memos from the Ministry of Finance that were approved include the ratification of the multilateral competent authority agreement on automatic exchange of financial accounting information, ratification of the Africa 50th Articles of Association and the approval for the financial transparency policy guidelines.

“The first memo sought for the ratification of the multilateral competent authority agreement on automatic exchange of financial account information.”

Mohammed added, “The memo is going to assist in curbing tax evasion and improve the revenue collection of government.

“The Minister of Finance also presented a memo asking for approval for the ratification of the African 50th Articles of Association. This particular memo is unique in the sense that both the African 50th Project Finance and African 50th Project Development Association are actually two windows, which have been created by the African Development Bank to allow for bankable infrastructural projects to be financed by the subsidiaries of the African Development Bank. The memo will take care of certain projects, which cannot be financed simply by the AfDB.

“Such projects are to be financed by these two platforms and already, Nigeria is one of the founding members of these two platforms and has invested heavily in them, and the ratification of this treaty has made it possible for Nigeria to take advantage of this.”

According to him, the Minister of Finance is seeking the council’s approval for the financial transparency policy guidelines.

He stated, “This memo was approved and I think the unique thing about this memo is that it is going to bring more transparency to how government revenue and accounts are being handled.

“As a matter of fact, with the approval of this memo, it will now be possible for the public to know exactly how much revenue is collected by the government, how much is being spent just by going on the website of the various ministries, department and agencies.”

Mohammed said the council also approved the revised estimated total cost for the engineering, procurement and construction of the OB3 gas pipeline project.

He explained, “This is a project that has been awarded but there was a need for the cost of the redesigning to seek for council’s approval so that there will be enough funds to execute the project.

“The project is important because it has to do with the delivery of gas from the eastern part of the country to the power turbines to improve our power supply. This contract is awarded to Nestor Limited and Olisa Limited and the total cost of the contract is $92m and N765,968,000,000.”
