Who give them the go ahead for the protest? You can see who the illiterate is now. You do not need a police permit to hold a rally in Nigeria. |

Ioannes: Let me address the bolded.
Biafra organizations like MASSOB, and IPOB are illegal organizations under the law. Hence, there's no way the police can actually give them a permit to go on a protest or march in this country, because whether you like it or not, you need a permit from the police for public walk or march. Are you aware of these facts? There you go. IPOB & MASSOB are not illegal and No, you do not need a permit to hold a rally. Informing the police is only a courtesy. There us no fact above. |

Ioannes: Oh I just saw this. What evidence are you waiting for from me?
You want me to dig out WAEC reports or what?
My assertion is based on empirical evidence we all can see.
I mean, take a good look around you and tell me educated people are part of the motley crowd pictured up there, marching in solidarity for the president of another country in another continent who most likely doesn't give a flying fvck about you except to deport y'all from his country.
You guys don't behave like you're literate at all, no offense. You digress. The argument was on your assertion that there are more literate males in the South West than the South East which available evidence has time and over again proven to be false. Talking about empirical evidence, where have you been before? Our people say that a child who has never left his father's hut considers it a mansion. I doubt if you've ever crossed the Niger eastwards. And besides, it was ok for Nigerians to hit the streets celebrating Obama's win in 2008 but not ok for IPOB to do same for Trump? #hypocrisy You may want to start here for data on education. I bet you weren't on Nairaland then - https://www.nairaland.com/237534/look-going-school-nigeria-statistics |

Ioannes: No. I know it is the south east where majority of the males are either illiterates or semi-illiterates and are prone to brainwashing especially when they are also jobless as evident in the pictures. Can you back your assertion with evidence? Available data suggests otherwise. The issue of which tribe goes to school more than the other has been trashed ye without number on Nairaland here for more than a decade now. Your assertion is based on ignorance and is at variance with available data and evidence. I await your presentation of evidence and then I'll signpost you to contrary evidence. |

MyPWisINCORRECT: The Igbo ethnic group must be reminded that Port Harcourt City is no longer a district in the old eastern region but a city in South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria (take note: not Biafra)
We the good people of Port Harcourt on this day, distance ourselves from the planned IPOB-Trump solidarity protest slated to hold in Port Harcourt on Friday, 20th January, 2017.
We advise our Igbo brethrens to organize such protests in any of the following Igbo state-capital cities of Abakaliki, Enugu, Awka, Owerri or Umuahia.
We also call on every relevant security apparatus to clamp down on any protester and the full weight of the law should be meted on such persons.
I must reiterate that the good people of Port Harcourt and Rivers State at large are not part of this protest and no part of our territory will be ceded to the Igbos for any reason whatsoever.
Thank you. And you op have to be reminded that Igbo is an ethnic group in the South South geopolitical zone of Nigeria and that the Igbo ethnic stock has the highest number of governors (by tribe) in the South South geopolitical zone. Deal with it. |

That man is not even above 90. People just quote any age for all these aged people who were born when there was no record. We need to find out Ifeanyi's age and that if his father. I repeat, that man is not more than 90. |

Dedetwo: In most cases, the down fall of a man is usually traced to his deeds. It is unfortunate that the narrator of the above junk did not find the need to elaborate on Col Pam’s participation in the political crisis known as Tiv Riots. A soldier of Col Pam’s caliber should not have allowed himself to be drawn into tribal politics of northern region of Nigeria in particular and Nigeria in general. There was nothing about exemplary quality on the part of Lt Col James Pam when he commanded 5th Battalion whose units were tasked to quell Tiv riot of 1964. In practical terms, Lt Col James Pam was one of the willing tools Ahamdu Bello frequently referred in his hateful speeches of 1960 Nigeria. Not everybody will understand this bro. |

Christianity Etc › Oyedepo: I Made Those Remarks In The Heat Of Boko Haram Crisis by nwabobo(op): 5:56pm On Jan 14, 2017 |
Oyedepo: I made those remarks in the heat of Boko Haram crisis: David Oyedepo, founder of The Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners Chapel, says he made the comments in the video trending online, during the heat of the Boko Haram crisis. In the video, Oyedepo said he had placed a curse on those attacking Christians, and charged the people to rise up and defend themselves. He said he heard that there was a plan to attack his church, and told his members to resist such plot and “spill the blood” of those behind it. But speaking through Sheriff Folarin, chairman of the church’s editorial and media board, Oyedepo said he cannot make such utterances at the moment in light of the challenges the country is experiencing. He said mischief makers were circulating the video to make it look as if he was commenting about the recent happenings in southern Kaduna. Oyedepo said he has not made any comment, “either in private or public”, about the crisis in Kaduna state, which he described as his second home. “The video from which the quotes were taken is a 2015 video at a Sunday service in the heat of the Boko Haram crisis, when churches, including our northern assemblies were under frequent attacks. This was before the present administration took office,” read statement signed by Folarin. “The message bears no relevance to today’s happenings; not even developments of 2016. The reporter(s) made the 2015 message look like a 2017 church service message. The trending video is NOT a 2016 or 2017 video. “To this end, we can unequivocally and authoritatively say that this quote, the report and other similar reports do not fit the context of the Kaduna crisis or any developments whatsoever in the last one year. “Bishop Oyedepo has not said, either in private or public, anything related to the Southern Kaduna killings: not now, not hitherto. If there has been anything done, it has been prayer for peace and unity of Nigeria. The intent of the original author(s) or fabricators is best known to them. “For the records and for posterity, Bishop Oyedepo will not say any of those things in view of current dire straits in which Nigeria has found itself. There are too many problems at hand, which require divine intervention. He will not add to the throes and utter such divisive words. “As a father of the nation and a Pan Africanist in his own right as a religious leader whose ministry spreads across the continent and beyond, he is a huge believer in the corporate entity called Nigeria and has been a messenger of national love, hope, peace and unity. “While he feels for the victimised people across the length and breadth of the country and his heart goes to them, he has always worked with government at all levels to keep Nigeria safe and strongly unified. “The Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel International) has never been a Yoruba church, or a Southern Nigeria church; it has always been a church for all Nigerian church, a platform where all persons of all walks of life bond in the name of Jesus Christ. For those who may not know, Bishop Oyedepo’s first major break in Christian ministry was in Kaduna, his second home, where he is a friend and father to millions of people of all religious and ethnic backgrounds. “Indeed, our church has been a catalyst for the Nigerian hope and dream and with its two universities and numerous secondary and primary schools nationwide, the church has made it possible for Nigerians to come closer as one people to rebuild our fatherland.” https://www.thecable.ng/oyedepo-made-remarks-heat-boko-haram-crisis |
