The economy was tanking before this administration came onboard. OBJ warned of it months before the election. The FDI stopped when Buhari made it clear he wasn't a Western stooge. Once again the FDI and other factors where being managed and were soon to be rectified but the bombings threw everything into chaos.
Bro, at the height of MEND activities, Portfolio investors were still coming to Nigeria with their forex cos they had faith in the economy and its managers.

Buhari via his archaic policies have damaged our economy and the damage he has inflicted on the economy I'm sorry will take up to 2 decades to rectify.

There is nothing as bad as having an economic illiterate at the helm of affairs of a country like Nigeria.

The Naira has been in the toilet for months. This final move was unwise but don't pretend as if he would have had to try to stop the BDC's from selling above the legal limit if the oil was flowing and earning forex as it should.
Can u tell us how much FDI we've had in the period under review?

The state we are in now is largely due to poor economic policies which has scared and continues to scare portfolio investors away from our economy. Buhari is the problem and not low oil price.

No, it is the result of chasing BDC operators underground by unleashing DSS operatives on them.

PoliticsRe: Dear Deji Adeyanju, Stop Deceiving Yourself, You Were Part Of The Old Order by nwabobo: 11:02pm On Dec 05, 2016
TonyeBarcanista:
Mr Deji Adeyanju, a former self-appointed director of New Media of the  People's Democratic Party(PDP) has in the last 72 hours been insulting the PDP, a party that I am aligned to and chieftains of the party.  Adeyanju even went as far as accusing the PDP of playing opposition of insults on the Buhari's administration and hailed the present government of having "good intentions" but bad advisers. Deji also went ahead to advocate for what he calls a "Youthful Party", and he has been advertising his number as a contact person.

I shall, for the sake of posterity address the points he raised relative to Mr Adeyanju.

Insults On Party Chieftains:
First thing first, Deji lack the moral right to accuse anyone of suppressing the youths from progressing in the party.

Mr Deji has always been a system man. While he paraded himself as Director of New Media, Deji used it as opportunity for self advancement and personal promotion. He converted the party's social media handle to his personal property. Deji had no team, he only assembled a band of sycophants and praise singers, people that would worship him like a deity in order to massage his irrelevant ego. This was Deji that NEVER mentored any young person nor did he push for Youths advancement within the PDP. It was about Deji or Deji as long as he was concerned.

In July this year, some young party youths, which I proudly led kick-started a movement for a structured PDP Social Media Directorate after realizing that Deji was a one-man self appointed social media directorate, we were not only abused by Deji through his Twitter handle, he also denounced our efforts to instill a system that will advance Young people in the party, but we were never shaken. Fortunately for us, our agitation was welcomed by the party hierarchy and a system is at present implemented! However, that episode will never leave our memory. I realised how wrong I was to have supported his ambition to be the Deputy Publicity Secretary of PDP in the botched May 19 National Convention.

It is an irony that the same Deji that opposed a system that should better the lot of young people in the party would now claim to be an advocate of the same young people after losing that thing that he profited from.

Insults On Buhari:
It is irony that Mr Adeyanju Deju will be uttering these words, trying to act the good guy whereas he has been among the black sheep in the party, the system man of sort.

It will be recalled that on April 1st this year, Adeyanju called President Buhari an Animal, a man that is old enough to be his father.

Prior to that, Mr Adeyanju openly insulted Senators Stella Oduah, David Mark and Ben Bruce on December 26, 2015 for hailing the President's budget. He labeled them "cowards".

Again on the 14th of July, Adeyanju took to his twitter handle to call the President a copycat for wearing a military uniform, alleging that he was imitating ex-president Jonathan, it didn't matter to him that the President is the Commander in Chief.  What could be more petty than that?

It is even on record that Deji, without authorisation from the party would release Press statements on behalf of the party to insult the President through the now defunct Twitter handle of the party. In fact, this stopped immediately he was reminded that he holds no position within the party.

When did Adeyanju realise that the President has "good intention"? Did he speak with the President?

On The State of PDP:
Readers would agree with me that since my return journey into PDP and after our loss at the poll, I have continued to advocate that the brand PDP must be rebranded to allow for a new order to be able to challenge the incumbent APC in 2019 and accepted by the Nigeria population. This position though was highly misconstrued by some but I am glad that the party is looking into this direction.

As a party, we must ensure that the system that will encourage young people to be part of leadership in both the country and the party must be entrenched so as to create the needed platform for generational shift in leadership. A new order of political leadership MUST take place within the party.

However, for this to be achieved, the old order that is driven by monetisation, godfatherism, nepotism and impunity, must be rooted out.

Not Against Deji's Decision To Quit But?
While I'm not against the right of Adeyanju to align politically based on his conviction, I find it ridiculous that the same Adeyanju that rose and became prominent through the old order would be the one to criticise a system that he stuck to and defended simply because he couldn't profit from the system any further.

Adeyanju should stop playing the attention seeking card but instead face his new political calling. I assure him that the Nigeria youths are no more gullible like he would want to assume. Truth is, he will not be missed.

I sympathise the young party faithfuls that antagonised me and other young people that sacrificed and put efforts to rebuild the party but were meant to believe that we were fighting personal battle with Mr Adeyanju. I am sure that by now they understand the true position, but if not, I hope they would soon.

Having said this, I have some questions for Adeyanju and the public:

1. When he contested for the National Publicity Secretary office, he had a crowdfunding that went directly to his first bank account, the Convention was botched, but what is the state of the monies that people donated?  Has he converted it to his personal day to day funds?

2. Still on the money, haven left the PDP, is it not morally right for him to surrender the monies to donors or was it another "format" to make money for personal aggrandizement? Is it not morally right for Mr Adeyanju to tell donors how he went about their monies since the Convention was botched?

3. When did Mr Adeyanju realised that PDP needs reformation? Is it today or after he was told that the office he was parading as Director was non existent in the party? Did Deji Adeyanju realise this when he held the party to ransom by his refusal to surrender the now defunct Twitter handle (@PDPNigeria) which led to the party to create a new Twitter handle @OfficialPDPNig. Even at that, Adeyanju and his lackeys never for once never never supported the advancement of the new handle but instead have made some of us their sworn enemies.

4. Did Adeyanju just realised that PDP is hopeless after he and his boys coordinated the PDP SM Situation room in the November 26th governorship election in Ondo state?

While I agree that nobody is beyond redemption, it is also correct to say that he that is coming to equity must come with clean hands.

May God Bless Us All And Bless Nigeria

By Jennifer Froetschel, DS Public Affairs

In Accra, Ghana, there was a building that flew an American flag outside every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday,
7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Inside hung a photo of President Barack Obama, and signs indicated that you were in the
U.S. Embassy in Ghana. However, you were not. This embassy was a sham.

It was not operated by the United States government, but by figures from both Ghanaian and Turkish organized crime rings and a Ghanaian attorney practicing immigration and criminal law. The "consular officers" were Turkish citizens who spoke English and Dutch.

Date: 08/30/2016 Description: The exterior of the fake embassy in Accra, Ghana. (U.S. Department of State photo) - State Dept Image

For about a decade it operated unhindered; the criminals running the operation were able to pay off corrupt officials to look the other way, as well as obtain legitimate blank documents to be doctored.

This past summer the assistant regional security officer investigator (ARSO-I) at the real U.S. Embassy in Accra, in cooperation with the Ghana Police Force, Ghana Detectives Bureau, and other international partners, shut down this fake embassy.

Date: 05/31/2007 Description: Exterior of the legitimate U.S. Embassy in Accra, Ghana. (U.S. Department of State photo) - State Dept Image

This investigation is a small part of the broader “Operation Spartan Vanguard" initiative. "Operation Spartan Vanguard" was developed by Diplomatic Security agents in the Regional Security Office (RSO) at U.S. Embassy Ghana in order to address trafficking and fraud plaguing the U.S. Embassy and the region.

During the course of another fraud investigation in "Operation Spartan Vanguard" an informant tipped off the ARSO-I about the fake U.S. embassy, as well as a fake Netherlands embassy operating in Accra.

After receiving the tip, the ARSO-I, who is the point person in the RSO shop for "Operation Spartan Vanguard" investigations, verified the information with partners within the Ghanaian Police Force. The ARSO-I then created an international task force composed of the aforementioned Ghana Police Force, as well as the Ghana Detective Bureau, Ghana SWAT, and officials from the Canadian Embassy to investigate further.

The investigation identified the main architects of the criminal operation, and two satellite locations (a dress shop and an apartment building) used for operations. The fake embassy did not accept walk-in visa appointments; instead, they drove to the most remote parts of West Africa to find customers. They would shuttle the customers to Accra, and rent them a room at a hotel nearby. The Ghanaian organized crime ring would shuttle the victims to and from the fake embassies. Locating the document vendor within the group led investigators to uncover the satellite locations and key players.

The sham embassy advertised their services through flyers and billboards to cultivate customers from Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, and Togo. Some of the services the embassy provided for these customers included issuance of fraudulently obtained, legitimate U.S. visas, counterfeit visas, false identification documents (including bank records, education records, birth certificates, and others) for a cost of $6,000.

When the task force conducted raids, they arrested several suspects and collected evidence that included a laptop computer; cell smart phones; 150 passports from 10 countries; legitimate and counterfeit visas from the U.S., the Schengen zone, India, and South Africa; and counterfeit identity documents.

The dress shop acted as both a front for the operation— was open to the general public for alterations and the purchase of dresses—as well as housing some of the document production. It was purported to house an industrial sewing machine they would use to re-create the binding on the fake passports.

During the raid on the dress shop the corrupt Ghanaian attorney lied to Ghanaian detectives by telling them they were not allowed to access the shop because it was involved in an additional court case.

The "additional court case" was determined to be fallacious, but it bought enough time for corrupt officials to arrange for bail for members of the organized crime group so that they could move the document production facility outside of Accra. Many of the documents also were exported elsewhere in Africa and to Europe through the dress shop.

Several suspects remain at large, but Ghanaian police have warrants for their arrest and plan to pursue them. The investigation and search for the Turkish organized crime group is ongoing.

After the operation was complete, both Interpol and the Bureau of Consular Affairs were sent the information collected to enter into their databases. At the request of the Ghana Police, DS Computer Forensic Lab will be assisting with forensic evaluation of the computer equipment seized in the operation.

Successful interagency operations like this are an essential part of investigating and stopping the well-connected criminal networks perpetrating passport and visa fraud. The regional security officer in Ghana reports that as a result of this and other raids in “Operation Spartan Vanguard,” the export of fraudulent documents have decreased by 70 percent in West Africa, criminal leaders no longer have the political cover they once had, and multiple other investigative avenues have opened to DS and other law enforcement partners, and this is only the beginning.

Ernest Chigozie Mbanefo, a self-styled Nigerian pastor, is the mastermind of the suspected Ponzi scheme known as MMM Nigeria.

Mbanefo’s domain, which is one of the multiple MMM sites in Nigeria, is ranked by Alexa.com as the 78th most visited Nigerian website.

MMM Global, on the other hand, is more popular in Nigeria than Facebook, Nairaland and Bet9ja. The site, which ranks fifth on Alexa, is behind Google.com, Google.com.ng, Youtube.com, Yahoo.com.

According to an online report quoted by NAN, Mbanefo is based in South Africa.

Nigerian Communications Week said Mbanefo registered the site, MMM-Nigeria.net domain, on June 7, 2016 at about 5pm Nigerian time.

NCW quoting Pageone report written back in September said Mbanefo made a single-year domain payment. The domain will expire on June 7, 2017.

It was also revealed that MMM Nigeria is not part of MMM Global – a Russian company that was responsible for one of the world’s largest Ponzi schemes in the 1990s.

MMM Global was founded by Russian politician Sergei Mavrodi, his brother Vyacheslav Mavrodi and Olga Melnikova.

The name of the company was taken from the first letters of the three founders’ surnames (MMM)

But like MMM Global, the Nigerian scheme is also a pyramid marketing scheme where an investor gets a 30 per cent return on investment.

Around the world, MMM is feared.

In January 2016, the Chinese government banned MMM on the grounds that it is a pyramid scheme (Ponzi scheme), and it is not registered in the country (and as a fraudulent scheme cannot be registered).

MMM recently crashed in Zimbabwe: Thousands of ‘Mavrodians’ in Zimbabwe were left in tears when the scheme crashed, losing tens of thousands of their lifetime savings.

PageOne gave Mbanefo’s address as 1 Royal Street, Lindberg Park, Johannesburg, South Africa.

According to Page One, Ernest was awarded a certificate of completion of an online course titled ‘MMM Guiders School’ on July 15. The certificate was supposedly signed by Sergei Mavrodi himself. He has since given himself the nickname the ‘Super Guider of MMM’.

To share news and information about MMM, Ernest also operates a subdomain ‘news.mmm-nigeria.net. The site praises him and projects him as the leader of the Ponzi Scheme in Nigeria.

“He is described thus: MMM Nigeria Super Guider; Pastor Ernest Mbanefo, has been selflessly helping thousands of MMM Nigeria participants whether or not they fall under his downline structure.

“The brain behind the MMM Nigeria revolution operation has been working selflessly and tirelessly towards the education, information and proper guidance for the MMM Nigeria Community.”
