Someone in Germany is meant to help me deposit the money but I have to provide the bank address.. I know it's SutorBank but the exact details I don't have

Pls it's urgent. I don't want to make mistakes

I couldn't have said it any better.

I'm studying Mechatronics Engineering in Germany and I tell you, no be joke.
The academics is one part, keeping up with emails and messages is another. There's deadlines too; forms to fill, registrations to make, important decisions to make.

It's important we understand what it takes before we just jump all in

Don't forget the challenge of learning the language too. This A2 wey I reach, no be joke.

I hope and pray we get AD's soon. Though the are those that want to "japa", majority are actually students trying to make their dreams a reality.

God help us

Better get a letter of presence ready, so to avoid stories that touch the heart. I doubt if there will be time for u to get this statement frm the website as evidence.

The letter of rejection from the other guy says it all.

I think it is best to hear from the next testimony or rejection so we can learn from them.[/quote]

I thought is possible to pay the block amount with form A direct from your bank account at a reduced exchange rate(maybe 490 naira to 1 euro)?

Please, I need comments on this.
No, it's not. According to the banks, form A is usually for direct school fees paid into the school account and not for a blocked account which is personal acct of the student.

You have valid points, but you’re not stating it clearly.

I agree with your point that German Embassy to clearly state on their website that Category B should not apply like they did in Ghana.

With false hope, you waste people time. It’s better to even reject the visa, then young scholars can find alternatives instead dashing false hope on something that will never happen.

I know a lot people been waiting for 2years.

To be frank, false hope is really unfair.
I stand to be corrected though.... One of my coursemate is from Ghana and applied under cat B. He has been in Germany since December last year. Infact wen we spoke and I told him what the situation is like here in Nigeria, he was shocked. Except if the clause "catB should not apply was just recently added to Ghanaian website" like u said, I wouldn't know.

In his own case, during his visa processing after interview, the embassy called his office boss to confirm his recommendation letter, his boss said he doesn't know him. The embassy reached out to him and asked him to submit a police report. He did and still got the visa.

It's strange but we have to admit, things are different here. But it's well

But you people think you are doing your job,
At the detriment of the youths of your country.
Just to make sure they don't protest, you guys started
Pasting fake testimony, giving them false hope so at the end you tell them it have been cancelled.
Nobody is planning any protest against anybody. We want the embassy to tell category b to stop applying instead of wasting their time.

Indians were the first country that did " education is not tourism " protest and today things are better for them. But ours is different.
Selfish interest everywhere.
Wow.... Hmmmm!!

Story for the gods ,
The first person to get first class, that never applied for category A, you waited for upto two semester before you realised that you are first class, and you are supposed to apply for category A.
Please note that I didn't abuse you oo.. so don't insult me ,you could have not answered the question than coming up with this your write up.,
But all I am saying , misinformation is deception,
Evil is evil , no matter what form it takes , all of you deceiving category B students with fake testimony, God will judge all of you.
Wether you work for the embassy or not .
The point is if you want to be deceived, u will be deceived. This is not rocket science, it's common sense. Read inbtween lines and know when someone is being honest or being cocky!!

So if u are catB and ur waiting for any form of testimony to be encouraged, that's ur call. Believe and trust in God for He maketh all things beautiful in His time.

Please, if you are applying for two different university through uniassist, is the 70 ERU cover for both university?..
And also, can one apply for two different courses in one university?
Each application is treated differently, the first application is 70euro everyother is 35euro.

I don't know if u can apply for 2 different courses in one school.

I said it before, I'm saying again, if u have any issue, mail the school or uni assist and ask any question u might have b4 application process begins. They are always ready to answer, response might not come under 1hr but it will come. Get concrete information because every sch is different with requirements.

Please guys help me nah. I'm so helpless.

What are the steps i will take?

In US section, questions are answered almost immediately you finished typing
In US section, people have hope of getting at least visa interview once u have admission. So my brother, here is different, people here are not happy, some are even depressed with the whole situation with visa.

So if u are still looking for admission, go back to the uni website and read it carefully, send mails to the uni staff, they are always willing to answer ur questions no matter how stupid the questions are. From my experience anyway, German uni staff are very good pple and they will attend to u very well.

If u want to know about visa process, read the embassy website properly too, ull have most answers there. You can also call them up, they answer too, so if u have further questions u can ask them directly.

Anything else from there is in the hand of God's mercy.

I will just like to put it out there for anyone thinking we do not have a reason to be worried about this whole interview issue.

First off, I will like you to know that other West African countries have the luxury to can choose desired interview dates. You can check the link below to verify.

German Embassy Ghana (CAT A & CAT B)

Again, if we say it was because of covid, please tell me why some of my coursemates from China, Turkey, the US, India, Ghana e.t.c are on campus!!
Plus, the covid case in Nigeria is not as terrible as it is in some European countries.

Now let's go to the mathematics of the block account, as we all know, we have some people who have already blocked 10,000EUR into their accounts. If I can assume, maybe 200 people in Nigeria have already blocked their accounts. That is 10,000* 200 =2,000,000EUR (N1,130,000,000)
Yes, over a billion naira and that is just an approximate in the German economy.

If we wouldn't want to deceive ourselves, most enrolled students in Nigeria can not put in their 100% with the hybrid studies. So many uncertainties, how do you study efficiently??

Like what happens after semesters online, you don't get a visa? What next?

There is absolutely nothing wrong to involve the Nigerian Government in this situation.

My Take!
I think the normal thing is to have the money blocked as soon u apply to avoid the stress of not getting confirmation on time before AD. But in our very unique situation in Nigeria, the best thing to do is not to deposit money untill u get an AD.

We are not waging war with the German embassy but we are just asking to be treated nicely like humans and not like miscreants that deserve no empathy. We are just seeking for the right to a good quality education which we all know and believe we can get in Germany. And I tell u, the few online classes I've had, was really enlightening, I've learnt some new stuffs. So if students who has placed high regard on German education and get treated this way is heart breaking.

Finally, I think one of us already put something out there on Amanda Chisom blog on Facebook, so if we can all lend our voices there, it could get the attention of the responsible authority who knows this could get a resolve. There has to be a solution around it.

I say again this is not about attack on the embassy, it's a plea to be at least granted the opportunity to be interviewed. Visa can be denied ofc if it doesn't meet the requirements, but an opportunity for interview should not be denied I think.

God bless us all and have a beautiful Easter celebration regardless of how u feel.

Cheers!!!!

Nzealibaba:
please people that booked yesterday ,are you still booking against summer or towards october for winter.
i mailed my school informing them about the visa cancellation , they told me anytime i get visa i should come if i don't meet up summer i can join winter. they asked me to choose one so they know which fees i would pay, As it stands i don't even know if I would get appointment in winter.
I am just confused.

No matter the case, Please read this:

the actions of the embassy has been extremely unprofessional, and has lasted now for 3 consecutive academic sessions and we are gradually getting used to it. e.g some have already rebooked appointment without asking if things would be different.

So picture this scenario:
A student maps out his time usually months(30 days +) applying to different schools up-to 3, 4, or more, writing and editing several applications, motivation letters, answering questions like reason why they choose their course and the school,
sending mails with courier at almost 30,000naira(DHL which i use often) per mail, pay uniassist 75euro(25,000 depending on fluctuating exchange rate) per application.
pay school for application and at times enrollment fees(e.g TUM ).
and finally excel above other international competing students and gain admission.
we make it look easy, but it is not, some of us are self sponsoring with excellent determination
and the embassy would not give a tangible reason why they don't want to meet with this student for an interview after this hurdle.
Last year summer and winter was exactly the same , you can read the post on Nairaland and confirm, people are still registering again without questioning the outcome.

Nigerian students we no longer have to blame the bad government as it has never been a viable solution. Can we try something different.
Can we extend our voices by reaching out to government offices( Dont say they won't do anything yet , lets do our part first) in a not so stressful manner(through e-mail) , while being polite (make it a plea) and keeping it loud(By lending our voices individually, you and I, not for the outspoken ones) , let our voices be heard. Enough of complaining about bad government or bad students abroad. and start acting positively.

I have a clue:
1.
We need to let the embassy know that we need a bit of transparency, let them give us informations we can work with, not blindly applying without
a yes or No wether we would be getting an appointment. example :
"summer applications are limited try winter,",
"If you do not have a scholarship letter or a first class do not apply",
"if you do not meet a particular criteria do not apply",
"Due to corona we are taking this fixed number of Nigerians, and if the figures exceed
they should inform the students on time so we try other countries".
Schools in Germany apply this method and it works, it helps scale them number of applicant,
making the screening process less stressful.
honestly , I don't know any tangible reason why i was not granted appointment for summer,
at this point I am going to repeat the exact steps I took again which obviously didn't work.

2.
If they receive huge number of applications, then will we would like to know
if it would be possible to opt for third party institutions , Indians do it, they use VFS global
and it has made them travel around Europe with ease, if their is any set of Nigerians who should
be denied migration as a result too much immigration , it should not be students .
Education in Africa should be given priority.

3.
April and October being an already established date for school resumption, the embassy
if being handled by a competent and innovative head, should opt for temporary expansion of
workforce during these peak periods. The embassy should anticipate before hand the huge influx of
students and make adjustment towards expanding their workforce .students already pay visa fee up to 30,000naira
hopefully it should cater for the extra aid they would need.

4.
I believe if a student having spent his time and limited funds going through the long application process,
and the school accepts, after placing him/her higher than other international competing students , the embassy
should hear him/her out (Interview). and decide if he/she meets the criteria for studying in Germany.
Now, their is a big difference between denying visa and not being invited for interview.
One being denial of student visa after interview is an indication that the student do not meet the required criteria for
traveling which is generally acceptable while the later, that is not being invited for an appointment is a case of the embassy
not capable of handling student interview and should take quick actions towards it, to help these
excellent students achieve their long planned goals.

Please if we can in unanimously , work towards moving this motion as a plea to the right offices, hopefully something would be done to that effect.
just have in mind that after summer last year were denied visa appointment , winter was also denied . so lets do something to this effect so things wont go wrong again this year.

drop emails of embassy and government office who might help to this effect.

thanks.
This is a good idea. We know covid 19 has a part to play in this but bringing the matter to the knowledge of the authorities will throw more light on the situation.

And who knows, if they discuss with the embassy their might be a way around it. Because to be honest, this could have a damaging effect to someone's mental health.

Good evening guys, TESTIMONY TIME

I applied for interview date on 4/02/2021 and got a date for 10/02/2021 but I had to cancel the appointment date as I was yet to fund my BA. Then I reapplied on the 18/02/2021 and got a new date for interview which was 23/02/2021.

Questions asked during interview;

1. How will I be funding myself after my BA is exhausted
2. Why do I want to study masters
3. What was I doing after my graduation till now
4. My accommodation plans in Germany.

Got AM on the 22/03/2021 then got visum on 29/03/2021(Today)

First if u are going for winter semester I assume that u ha e gotten school already, if not u better start looking fast because there are very few English thought courses for BSc in Germany, 90% are thought in German.

You have to get the sch first, then see if they accept English proficiency letter or of they are insisting on IELTS...

If they accept proficiency then explain to ur sch that they just need to state that all your causes during ur HND program were all thought in English, and that ur proficiency in English is never in doubt as evidence in ur academic records.

Hope this helps
