Politics › How Arms Acquired Under Buratai From $1billion Fund Were Stolen By Boko Haram by NwaNimo1(op): 3:08pm On Mar 17, 2021 |
Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly seized no fewer than 15 armoured personnel carriers and tanks purchased for Nigerian Army in 2020 under the former Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai. The armours were bought from the $1 billion fund released by the Federal Government. According to SaharaReporters, at least four countries supplied the APCs to the Nigerian Army in 2020 which were China, South Korea, United Arab Emirates and South Africa. It was gathered that about 21 armoured carriers were ordered between 2018 and 2019 when the $1 billion fund from the Excess Crude Account was approved and released to the military to aid the counter-insurgency war in the North-East. The news platform noted that Buratai deployed some of the funds to obtain the APCs from the four countries – although the arms ended up being stolen or destroyed by the Boko Haram terrorists the same year. On Wednesday, the breakdown of the 21 APCs ordered between 2018 and 2020 showed that, “Nigeria ordered six VT-4 and ZTL-09 armoured tanks from China in 2019 and the six were supplied in 2020. Nigeria ordered three Marauder APCs from South Africa in 2018 and the three were supplied in 2019. Nigeria ordered five KLTV-181 armoured carriers from South Korea in 2020 and the five came in 2020.” “Finally, Nigeria ordered eight Phantom-2 armoured carriers from the United Arab Emirates in 2020 and the eight were supplied in 2020.” Sources in the army said about 15 of the APCs have been stolen by the insurgents. “Most of the APCs were stolen by the Boko Haram during various operations in 2020. The terrorists knew through informants in the army that new ammunition came and so, they intensified attacks on military bases. The army under Buratai was already distressed, politicised and everyone was an informant,” a top source in the army revealed. “In December 2020, we lost some of them to the Islamic State West Africa Province’s fighters. We lost the South Korea’s KLTV-181 military tactical-utility vehicle which were designed and manufactured by KIA Motors Corporation,” he further explained. Recall that the National Security Adviser, Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (retd,), last week claimed that the fund released for the purchase of arms to fight against security issues affecting the country is missing. https://www.gistlover.com/how-arms-acquired-under-buratai-from-1billion-fund-were-stolen-by-boko-haram/ |

WalexyWWE: Hello guys, what a sigh of relief. Thanks to nairalanders for your advice. For those who haven't been following this is the previous thread link
https://www.nairaland.com/6460802/girlfriend-just-scammed-me
So after what happened yesterday I couldn't sleep, I hardly blinked throughout the night I was looking for all the possible means to get back to this girl and get my money refunded.
The mistake I made earlier was calling her her freinds to ask wether she was with them. Apparently she was with one of those girls but she lied. Early this morning I went to the police station bribed two officers (10k each) and told them I would be needing thier services for some few hours.
I don't care if I spend more sef. I started checking all her freinds house. Started from her best freinds place I caught up with her after about 6 places. She has spent out of the money she has 54k left with her I took it and I took her phone as well(11 pro max). I don't care what happens if she refunds my money she can come for her phone.
She couldn't say anything, neither could she beg. I figured out it will take a long process going the legal way and she might have spent the money before all the evidence I put up against her will be ready.
Thanks to everyone who contributed I know have her phone and half of the money if she dosent show up within a week I will be selling that phone I swear. And luckily for me all the evidence is there on her phone. She has been mocking me and telling some of her freinds how she stole my ATM card. Victory at last.!!! Politics › European Union Reports Nigeria To Okonjo-iweala-led World Trade Organisation by NwaNimo1(op): 9:54pm On Mar 16, 2021 |
The European Union has reported Nigeria to the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The complaint was about Nigeria’s policy on dairy products. Director General of the WTO, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday when she visited the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). She said the international trade organisation received a letter from the EU complaining about Nigeria’s restrictions on milk and dairy products. While noting that the WTO will look into the complaint, the former Minister of Finance urged Nigeria to take advantage of the trade remedy initiative in place at the organisation to protect local industries. Reacting, CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, said the process to bring milk and dairy producers has been on for six years with the milk and dairy producers treating the matter with levity.http://saharareporters.com/2021/03/16/european-union-reports-nigeria-okonjo-iweala-led-world-trade-organisation |
