Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the acting leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has slammed Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the All progressives Congress (APC). Adebanjo while speaking on the reason southwest governors are afraid of the controversial restructuring issue, said most of them are under the control of the AC national leader who is believed to have a pact with President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2023 presidency. He categorically claimed that Buhari will not handover to Tinubu because he has an agenda of his own. Going further, he said he has no reason to be afraid of seaking his mind given that he his near to grave. "That is correct and the reason is that many of them are under Tinubu. The exception is the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi (Makinde). They are all under the canopy of Tinubu, who himself is under the canopy of Buhari. "But they are deceiving themselves that Buhari would hand over to him (Tinubu) since they supported him (Buhari). I have said it openly before and I would say it again that Buhari is deceiving Tinubu and Tinubu is deceiving Buhari. "I’m an old man and I’m a funeral candidate already, so quote me. If Tinubu contests the primary in APC today, he will fail." "That is why I said you should quote me. I’m not telling you what people say, I want you to write what I say and when it happens let us see who is right. People talk about an agreement between them, but Buhari is deceiving him and he (Buhari) has an agenda of his own. https://www.legit.ng/1408219-buhari-deceiving-tinubu-tinubu-deceiving-buhari-adebanjo-insists.html |
The militia wing of the Biafra Nations League (BNL) has issued a quit notice to companies operating under Nigeria in the Bakassi peninsula. The group alleged that Nigeria gets 60 percent of the oil in the region and uses the money to “sponsor” the Nigerian military against secessionist. A BNL commander alias ‘Aso Rock’ accused the federal government of “killing armless pro-Biafra supporters in Imo State and Rivers State”. The native of Bakassi stated that Nigeria no longer had rights over the area since its territorial ownership was ceded to Cameroon. “We have asked the oil companies paying tax to the Nigerian government to evacuate, no deadline was given as we can chase them away anytime. “They cannot be drilling our oil to be developing the north and sponsoring military operations against us. “Not even Cameroon can stop us otherwise we will engage in full-blown militancy. Boko Haram is fighting four countries without being defeated”. BNL further warned groups in the Niger Delta rejecting Biafra not to be an obstacle to the freedom of the South-East people. https://dailypost.ng/2021/03/20/biafra-group-threatens-violence-orders-oil-companies-out-of-bakassi/ |
