I recently filled the ds160 form but in the field I ask asked to input my income in local currency, I submitted the amount I receive in $ since Im paid in $ cos I work with a foreign company. Will this be a problem?

Please my cousins Visa was refused because she used non genuine bank statement and she has received here refusal mail. My question now is

1. When is it likely for them to call her to pick up her passport
2. She received the refusal mail since Friday and she is yet to receive mail for her to pick her passport from VAC
3. Are they going to withhold her passport
4. Also the school said they won’t refund because of the refusal reason.. is this contestable.

PS: She is devastated already and she knows she did wrong by submitting fake bank statement. Way forward is what she needs. Thanks as you are kind with your responses

I started my POF 23 of october, and i paid my visa and ihs fee on the 14 of november .... and i uploaded my document on the 21 of november(30days pof). And today 22 of november was my biometrics

Some one told me i will get nsf cos i paid for visa and ihs before my pof complete 28days

You can fix it in just 2 steps below:

Step I:
Enter your meter number and NIN to link your NIN to your prepaid meter in under 2 minutes using this link-

Step II:
After linking your prepaid meter to your NIN, go ahead and make an electricity purchase on simply buy units from your bank app or Anywhere else. You will receive 2 sets of tokens separate from the light units tokens you bought. These 2 tokens are called kct1 and kct2.

Enter the 1st set of token into your prepaid meter and press enter. Enter the 2nd set of token into your prepaid meter and press enter again. Your meter will migrate successfully.

Step III
You can now enter your unit tokens to load successfully and wil not see a rejected message when next you load.

Most common problem
If you have linked your NIN to your prepaid meter and you have made a new electricity unit purchase but did not receive your ktc tokens or only received incomplete tokens, then click the link below and enter your meter number to receive your two sets of kcts:

Write a letter explaining that they made the wrong decision on the visa application, and make sure you attach
- A copy of the decision letter
- Copies of the UK visas in her passport
- The UK entry stamps on her passports
 
Do this within 30 days after the decision.

If they communicated the visa ban to you through email, try and reply back through that same email or any other method they want you to use.

Please I need a bit of clarification, I chose 2 people in the category to book for biometrics and the site only allowed me to input only 1 applicant details and the biometrics letter they sent had number of applicant :1 written on it. I registered through my second email and as soon as I put the second details it says you already booked appointment. Please I just want to findout if the letter they sent will work for the two applicant. Please can someone help shed light on this🙏

I believe the VfS have it already,you might be lucky they may have despatched it to Abuja only waiting to update their system before you can get any message from them,or likely they may be sorting, atimes sorting at VfS office takes 4/5 days,but dont worry,since you have submitted you dont have problem,they will still issue you your visa

I sent my passport via dhl on 3rd of November(Friday) and I got an email from vfs on 6th(Monday) alongside my tracking Id. Then on10th got another email it’s in transit to Ghana. Another email it arrived Ghana since 10th I haven’t heard anything or gotten any mail.

Did the agent lace his tongue with juju to hypnotise people who are desperately in need of date ? You can DIY. If you picked a far-reaching date and you feel you have compelling reasons to request an expedited appointment, don't bother to mail them cos you definitely won't
get the kind of help you need. Moreover, they're always overwhelmed with mails so, they may send you a FAQs link or send a generic response. Nothing could be more annoying. Instead, you call them on 012278955. Try and speak with an agent. You'd get connected immediately as the line isn't always busy. Follow the voice prompt and try to speak with an agent. The below is how to go about this.

1- Dial 012278955
2- Enter 4, on your dialling pad after the voice prompt
3- Enter 2, after the voice prompt
4- Enter 0, after the voice prompt
5- Enter 5, after the voice prompt and you'd be directed to an agent immediately.

If you don't follow the above, you'd get lost cos there are loads of information which would be thrown at you by the answering machine. Apart from being confused, you'd end up wasting your time and burning all your airtime. See the attached picture for a hint.

The agent would ask you some security questions to be sure you're the right applicant. Tell her why your interview should be brought to an earlier date. This has worked for like 2 people I introduced this to. She'd put you on hold while she checks the preferred date, if available, or she suggests a close one. Please note that, you must have booked an appointment , even if its year 2030 before calling.This information I'm sharing is worth even more than the 5m naira which the hungry and callous agent is asking you to pay. This thread was set up by the OP, to assist people for free but some people do take advantage of it to make money from unsuspecting applicants.

I've never paid a dime to receive a visa and I've been travelling to the states for almost 20 years now, even took people to US without collecting a dime. I'm not an agent so,no DMs please. I'm only saying this so people who are billing their fellow Nigerians who need help should have a change of orientation. In those days, I'd visit Indian threads to read about various visa categories and see how they're assisting one another free of charge, as if they're related. We should emulate them. No be everything be money. Meanwhile, members on that thread are' thousands of km apart yet, they help as if they're closely related, FOC.

It will say record not found if you try scheduling a pick up via your phone because your date of birth, which must be filled-in would be hidden, due to the size of your phone screen. Activate the auto rotate function, which is usually on the top of your phone(see attached/encircled for details), turn the phone to the palm mode, (by turning it either left or right) to reveal the full page and you'd be able to see your date of birth column clearly. Alternatively, you can schedule on your computer.

You can also pick up anytime. Just go to your preferred dhl office anytime you wish to pick up, schedule while you're in their premises. Usually, you would not be able to schedule for pick up same day you're going. Don't bother yourself, schedule
for any later date while you're still there. They'd still attend to you. What's important is for your information to be available on their system.

My experience @Alausa Passport office Today 8th of November, 2023.

12:pm Appointment, I got there 11:45pm. I walked straight inside the building facing the entrance gate.

The fair lady I met when I entered the building, after checking my documents, ask me to buy brown file and rope at the gate. Got it for ₦500. Then she referred me to room 12 where another check was done and stamp. I went back to the lady and she ask me to seat where they will call me for capturing.

Not quite long, another woman came out and ask for my file and I submitted to her, the next thing I was called in and the capturing was done. A slip was printed and given to me. Collection date February 2024.

Few minutes after I left the place, I decided to track my application by entering my app num and ref num, it all showed "mark green", except for the last part, "passport issued" saying "PP pending production.

The whole thing, didn't take up to 30mins. It was sweet and simple. Pls note, it is RENEWAL

Someone stole a card and goes through the arduous process of first pretending to want to buy an item,then asks for a refund of the money.
How does it make sense.They even pretended the father of the house has a stroke and came with their children to even buy the items.
At worst they just want to use the receipt they got from the item as evidence of purchase of an item to someone or an organisation in a case they are involved in or to with hold money they were borrowed or kept in their care.
It may even be a simple straightforward case of them wanting to get more funds from someone by showing proof they have used the original funds to purchase the item they claimed they wanted to use it for,without actually buying it.
The op revealing the item they bought would have lent credence to this theory I have of what the whole rigmarole was all about.
But of course typical of the average Nigerian,they claim politicians are fraudsters,but they hide things so no one gets to know they inflated the cost or lied outrightly about an issue.
These are not kidnappers or criminals,just people trying to play smart to milk more funds or hide one kept in their possession for other uses. I am 110% sure of it.
The stroke pretence and whole family coming to purchase the item should have told you these are people trying to use illness and family as evidence of something to someone,but of course,since Buhari graced our shores,commonsense is now as scarce as steel from ajaokuta.

Mercy kept boasting that she will win the show even to the housemates. She had fans,Nd she had dropped money for voting with many voting centers. At the end of the day,it all came to nought.Sometimes,you need to be humble in life,even Mercy thought she could win ,you don't have to rub it off on the housemates.
