Felicity0001: You re right with other summits but with the bolded I think I beg to differ.
Drivers make more more driving with uber on the 3% promotion even with their lesser fair than with bolt with 15% reduced commission after 40 trips with their higher fair. Each to his own bro. I still maintain that you make more money on Bolt... my humble opinion. You get more requests on Bolt, better fare on Bolt. |

Felicity0001: Not drivers but the platform.
Why are things different with UBER? The reason is because uber is discipline, honest, organize and has integrity.
If only you understood the discipline and orderliness the N400 cancellation fee is installing on riders you would know why uber riders are well behaved and well mannered. But, same reason bolt is using to their advantage of grabbing the market which in the real sense is corruption, biasment, cheating to drivers and in general, a lack of integrity. All because they are aware the nigeria society is corrupt.
But one thing is sure, any organization without integrity will not stand the test of time. Hmmm... you sure have a point here. I don’t drive on uber but I notice how drivers comport themselves when I’m on Uber ride. I couldn’t agree with you more |

northbird: But trust me, the day a new app comes on board esp. guys in d Lyft category. bolt and uber will sit up, a lot of riders use uber cos fares are lower.
Intact, most riders have the two apps n dey compare prices.
Was coming from Ibadan one evening, n on getting to Mowe, a lady sitting directly in the front seat was trying to book a ride.
Destination. Ajah. PU. Berger. She tried bolt estimate 5,800-6,200
Uber est.4,800- 5,000.
Sharply ,she closed the Bolt app. n used Uber.
I'm lyk that's a journey wt intense traffic of over 2hrs n trip go end you wud see 3,500.
Seriously uber drivers r trying. who no like better thing? For me I prefer using Uber obviously coz of their low fares and the fact that drivers are more cautious and aware when on an Uber ride. But then I use bolt more coz my area in festac you wait longer when you make an Uber request |

You can even joke about it. Abeg no vex etc, police can give me wahala etc, plus its Uber rules etc Manner of approach bawo... asslicking riders you mean, when it’s not children you are carrying. As adults they should know the right thing to do. It’s just the Nigerian mentality where the next person wants to feel smarter or superior. It’s good to inculcate discipline in these riders in our little ways. |

davit: I concur. We just need more platforms to avoid all these issues with the few available. I thought Mr Taxi was going to join early this year though. May be Covid don spoil their plan. My guy we have a couple of them already. They either are not serious or they don’t understand the business. We can have a thousand platforms, but if they don’t challenge the status quo or at the very least do what others (Bolt) are doing, then forget it |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by NYCnextStop(m): 12:51pm On Jun 03, 2020 |
davit: I think this is one area Uber is better than Bolt. I wrote Bolt messages regarding riders claiming they didn't get guidelines about Covid precautions. Imagine them telling me they did when it is obviously not so. I wrote them again that riders have been giving low rating cos they won't comply with the guidelines. Bolt said I shouldn't worry. They will look into it. Rating kept falling until it got to 4.37. Na so Bolt yank me off indefinitely.
Please guys is Uber taking new drivers now? You can never compare Uber with Bolt. Uber is miles ahead of other partners in the e hailing business. The reason why Bolt seems to be better in Nigeria is because they fit the Nigerian system. Uber is just too rigid and hardly compromise and that is why Bolt has more riders and drivers. So in totality, I think Uber is still the best but when it comes to making money, Bolt is king. Any idea if Bolt has opened their offices? |

Ghost1994: So my experience today.
Got the request from Ozone Yaba, on Uber.
Me: hello got ur request I'm on my way to pick you up R. Okay no p I'm waiting Me. Zooom... arrived "A.c. off" waiting for her to come out. After 2 mins waiting, she's finally out. R. I'm going to Cele hope no traffic. Me. Okay I'm starting the trip and I'll check if there's traffic or not. While checking gmap, I was telling her to put face mask on and fasten her seatbelt.
She fasten her belt put her face mask on her lap.
Me. I'm already driving towards murtala way. Naso I noticed she didn't put her face mask on.
I was like with due respect young lady, kindly help me wear your face mask even if you can't wear it, just hang it on ur jaw.
R. Haha oga what's this nonsense you be novice on this job abi you don't know say while you're in the car, you don't need face mask.
Me. In my mind I was like "ewo tun leleyi" which kind witch be this wey village people and uber send come meet me for Wednesday morning?
R. Oga have never used face mask since beginning of covid19 and nobody try to arrest or say anything to questioning me even I took uber yesterday I didn't wear it. "Oga please stop correcting me and drive"
Me. Just kukuma turn back! On heading to her pick up point she started saying shit I never respond so far I didn't ask you to pay no wahala.
Me. As i reached the coded hotel where I picked her at the back of ozone naso mallam security been asked wetting happen? Aunty just be on phone saying check the number I sent you you've to do something with your drivers.
I don write uber before I dropped her so make she even call buhari which I obviously knows say na saka call she dey make I no send her mama.
So my question is that why some driver thinks only about money and not their safety? How's she doing it without wearing face mask and entering uber/bolt.
Please let's keep necessary precautions na who dey alive go pay HP and Rental.
#Stay safe You did the right thing my guy. Apart from your safety, you saved yourself from trouble. Imagine if police or LASTMA had arrested you for your rider not wearing face mask... I bet she would feign ignorance and let you bear the consequences of her action, as they would always assume it is your responsibility to remind your riders to use face mask. As for the drivers that compromise their health and safety, it says a lot about them. For Uber, so long as you’ve written them, be rest assured they would work in accordance with the rules. NB: I really don’t know why it is mostly girls from one hotel to another that give issues on this job... I mean all these girls that know nothing. |

Felicity0001: Will an ibo man block a driver for just cancellation when he owns him above 4or5k? Think about this. You have a point cos I owe them around 1k+ before I was yanked off. But I think it is automatic. I mean when you exceed the cancellation threshold and after a while you don’t balance the cancellations rate, the system will automatically yank you off. Please any idea if Bolt’s Lekki office is open Happy new month guys |

unblock ke, when they still held ur account down, I've never check Bolt on twitter before, but I was forced to send a msg via twit, somehow came across this guy with same complain since 2 months and yet to be unblock... I think the only hope here is when they resume or their call line agent's starts answering calls, so we have to wait till they open lekki office.
Inbtw I find this on twitter, how we go settle this matter now? Bolt said no transfer, yet this rider get some high on her right to insult drivers for doing the wrong thing. Crazy world! Question: How many times can a rider cancel before getting blocked? i hope so too bro Well I don’t know how many times you cancel before you get blocked. I never knew one could be blocked as a result of rider did not show cancellations until I tried to login and noticed my account was blocked

InfinityEstates: Ah an? 2030 bawo?
Question: Do you guys allow the 5mins to elapse before cancelling? Me I've been cancelling and nothing has happened (yet).
Went out when the cloud was getting dark hoping to get small change. Rain started heavily and was about turning back home when request entered. Called rider, number didn't connect. I was close to PU and I slide on "Arrived". If if not close to PU, I still do that once the number didn't go through. Later cancelled after 5mins.
Second request came in. I had to go and make a turn that would take me about 10mins for a (definitely) N500. I made the turn alright, but didn't stop at PU. Straight to my house.
We go move Lagos another day abeg... all I can say is that you should be careful about your rider did not show cancellations. Always try to check the percentage at the end of the day About your question... yes I did cancel all trips after 5 minutes. Well I’m left with the option of doing only Uber but Uber no be work. I’ve moved on already. |
