on Sunday 17th March 2019 on my way back from Lagos, we were stopped by SARS officers at Benin bye pass, they said they wanted to search so we submitted our phones.
when it got to my turn, I unlocked my phone and handed it over to the man and immediately he went to my hang out and saw a brief chat I had with a friend in 2015, after then he said I should log in my work account that "I de press" and how was how the issue started, I pleaded with him that the name is a Nigerian name and the guy was a former course mate but that only worsened the issue.
I was handcuffed, slapped severely and planked too after which the put me in their bus and l started pleading with them to release me but I was told to go and get 3000$ , I asked what for and I got more slaps .
They took me to central police station in Benin and there they told me officially that they are licensed to kill, gave me some beatings and told me to start making calls while they wrote a statement and asked me to sign. finally the told me to bring 100 thousand, which I gave them #10000 cash and 90000 through transfer .
when I left there I sought for how to make an official complaint about the extortion and get my money back, so I mail, called and contacted the police #CRU and I was given a tracking number and told to give the tracking number to any police officer who picks up my call so I will know the progress they have made on the case.
so on Friday last week, I called the #CRU and they gave me this a number and he is the one handling the case in Benin just for me to call the number and the officer to say that I should come to their office.

please my fellow nairalanders is it still possible for me to get my money back and I will post pictures of the transfer receipt and my chats with #CRU.
