Ikorodu Oga founded Ikorodu hence the nickname Ikorodu Oga, but Ikorodu is Ikorodu to Lagosians in general.
I avoided calling him the founder because I dont wanna get into the historical controversies surrounding that fact. But Oga is to Ikorodus what Lisabi is to the Egbas.

You can read more about Ikorodu history here. http://www.ikoroduoga.net/history.html

We are not competing, it's just that you are not being honest with your questions and answer. You can not tell us you know nothing about the questions you are asking and the answers you are giving. By claiming ignorance with your questions and answers, who then determines what's right or wrong?

The general understanding of Oga is Boss, not what Ikorodu folks nicknamed themselves and what Ikorodu folks nicknamed themselves has noting to do with Laosians in general.

Ikorodu Oga is not a culture, it's a nickname. Part of the blood running through my veins originated from Ikorodu.

It is my belief that you played fast and loose with that question and answer. The Ikorodu Oga thing sounds more like grasping for straws after googling.
Actually Oga is the name of one of the early leaders of Ikorodu people. He was a brave warrior and led Ikorodu people to many victories. So Ikorodu people proudly refer to themselves as Omo Oga (Oga's children). Oga's sculpture is at Ikorodu town centre

I do not waste my time debating with people claiming that Lagos is no man's land and that Lagos belongs to all Nigerians. I just laff in Ehin-Igbeti.  grin

It is amazing how someone can claim to be an indigene of a particular state in another region outside SW because his fathers founded the place, maintain loyalty to that state and at the state time come to claim Lagos state  and tell the children whose fathers founded Lagos that they have no more right than them in Lagos affairs, cos they managed to buy a piece of land in Lagos.

No wahala! Let them continue! I am from Epetedo In Isale Eko of Lagos State. I know my forefathers houses. When "Kasala" burst, everybody will sabi his papa's house.

How intolerant was he?
You might need to find out how many media houses he shut and how many journalists he arrested and imprisoned.

Even late Gani Fawehinmi should be turning in his grave if he is able to read IBB's advice.

But then may be he is a changed man.

Good advice from a wrong man. How tolerant was IBB when he was in power?

But all the same Mr President will do well to listen and take the advice.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu, Fasoranti, Hid Awolowo: Who Really Is The Yoruba Leader? by OAM4J: 3:33am On Jul 04, 2011
Eko Ile:
And I'm telling you that the people of the SW have decided. Saying the people of the SW picked Tnubu and the ACN because they were tired of the PDP sounds a little off simply because ACN and the PDP were not the only political parties in the SW, the Labor party and others were there and they picked Tinubu and the ACN and if I might add, the Labor party won in Ondo state. I just don't know why you're trying so hard to deny the obvious, were you not alive during the elections?

It really doesn't matter how you cut and dice it, Tinubu wins simply because both Tinubu engineered both scenarios you are peddling, his prints is on everything from Lagos and Fashola all the way to Osun, the SW's presence at the Assembly in Abuja and  beyond, Tinubu remains the driving force.

You're yet to list the main requirements for selecting Yoruba leaders and also, when is the right time.
I do not know of any Yoruba constitutional requirements for leadership. Afenifere and its constitution died with Pa Adesanya. I can only give my opinion, which i already gave.

OAM4J:
@Eko Ile

Ultimately the people will decide who is their leader. Most prominent leaders have always emerged naturally with a large followership and good will of the people they command.

But concluding the SW people have chosen Tinubu base on the last election might be an exaggeration. More than anything the SW people were tired of PDP and wanted a change.

It will be difficult to decide how many people voted for ACN because they love Tinubu or voted because they expect the ACN Governors will perform like Fashola  or voted because they just wanted PDP out at all cost.
As per the timing, It will be when it becomes obvious. For me. Tinubu's leadership of Yoruba people is not obvious yet. But then that is my opinion.

Right! It will only make sense if we can imagine a super intelligent being (God) behind it. because the concept of creatures is too complex to imagine these things just happened on their own.
