"Obviously Arsene Wenger and the gaffer are the two longest serving managers in my era, they were fantastic, an institution in the club, it’s gonna take time but Unai, they beat us with Sevilla, and they’ve made a very good signing tactically he’s very good, high energy and I don’t know what team he’s going to play, he’s got loads of different tactics. They’ve made a very good signing.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“Fantastic, that’s the one fierce rivalry on a football basis on my years between the two of us, always the closest rivals, they win the double, we win the treble, and the games were just fantastic, we had a great team they had a good team. "I think I just scored once against David Seaman, but the French connection they had, Henry, Vieira, Pires, Petit, I met them a couple of times in the FA Cup. I think I won two semi-finals but we lost 2-0 at home once in a year, there were some tackles flying in between the two teams. Fantastic games.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“The semi-final 99 is such an important game and when Peter saves that pen from Denis Bergkamp that gives us the advantage and we win the treble, if Bergkamp had scored they’d have won the double, that’s how small the margins are, that’s the standout for me. “I watched Giggsy’s goal from the sidelines and that was the one highlight apart from walking out on the pitch at Wembley in 99 because growing up in Norway that’s the game you look forward to and still remember Norman Whiteside’s curler after Kevin Moran was sent off, that was the one game we knew we were going to watch.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“Obviously the plan is to go back there [Molde] but it’s one of the things that I watched parts of the CSKA Moscow game and they lost 2-1, but my job is to improve here, help the players so that’s not very difficult, so you can spend 10 or 15 mins talking to them back home.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“He (Luke Shaw) was ill, he just fell ill the night before. Smalling started training again so it’s only Rojo and Fellaini are the two I can’t call upon in this game.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“There you go, it’s easier to speak loudly if you’re not in a job yourself! That’ll be great if Scholesy gets a job, he’s someone you want to learn off, I played with them for so many years, I’m just doing my bit.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
Icon4s: ![]() I believe Pulis would have assured him, cos he can't be daft to sign for a Championship Club only to be glued to the Bench. |
andrew444: ![]() ...... that's one of the Reasons I called it a good Move, moreso, he's guaranteed to start Games week in week out. |
andrew444:I think he should have sought a Team like Leed United, or perhaps join Lampard and Ashley Cole Derby County - if at all, if he's interested playing in the Championship. Fulham also would have needed his service based on his Experience in the League, and he's not a strange Player to Ranieri. All in all, it's a good Move, cos he's gonna be fit ahead of AFCON. |
![]() Honestly, we have to take it easy on the Lads, especially Martial. The Dude almost lost his Mojo under Mou. Psychologically, he was tortured, humiliated by Mou. We shouldn't forget no matter how Martial performed in a Game, he ain't guaranteed a starting Spot in the following Game. Should we begin from losing the NO. 9 Jersey to Ibra without his Consent?! Sanchez was even bought simply to bench, kill his Career. The same Mou wanted him sold, didn't celebrate with him when he had a Child..... And so on. If Rashford could find his mojo back, i believe Martial would do the same. It takes few Minutes to collapse a Building, while Months, even Years to fix back! Let's be patient, and keep enjoying the Team's Progress..... Kinda too early for Lamentations. |

“Alexis is not 100 percent match fit. He’s been out quite a while but he’ll probably be in the team for the FA Cup next week.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“Of course, we’ve had some tough years at the club and we’re fifth at the moment. I don’t know how Arsenal are doing at the moment [against Chelsea in the later kick-off] though, so we could be sixth! "It is a challenge for us to get to where we should be as a club, but now we are looking forward to the [Emirates] FA Cup game against Arsenal because that is a tough opponent but it is a great challenge. I’ll sit down and try to watch the second half, when I’m done with this!” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“Yes of course [beating Sir Matt’s record] is something to be proud of, but it is something for the boys to be proud of, because that keeps the momentum going and it's another win. "Maybe, in 10, 15 or 20 years’ time, I’ll look back on things like this but I don’t care whatsoever about records. I never ever bothered about these things. Of course, to be part of a team winning so much feels great and confidence grows in that dressing room. "It is that team spirit that kept them away from losing points today, even though David [De Gea] didn’t have any saves to make, but, towards the end, there were still some scary moments.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“If we keep this momentum going, the train keeps rolling and we get loads of points on board, hopefully that will take us up the table. The gaffer [Sir Alex Ferguson] used to challenge us at times. Why can’t you go and win 10 games on the bounce? "As long as you take each game at a time, prepare well going into it, then every game is a winnable one. But, then again, we need to improve on quite a few things. "I have to say the players have to be proud of the form and momentum. It’s seven games on the bounce now and wins create confidence.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“Of course, the attitude is brilliant. Then again, I would have liked to have played the game out better, kept it better and made them run after the ball more. "I thought we gave it away too easily, were nonchalant at times, because we got sloppy. Maybe, at times, it looked too easy and 3-0 is fine but, at 2-0, anything can happen. Defensively, we need to find our shape better. Towards the end, like today, we need to defend better. "We were under the cosh but winning 2-1 and we needed to keep it away from them, but at times, though, it was fantastic football from us and we should have scored two or three at the beginning of the second half.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“[His - Rashford - goal] wasn’t bad was it? [That was his] 150th game which is a feat in itself being 21 as he is. The level of his performances at the moment, the maturity in his finishing, his work-rate, it is just a dream to have players like him in a team. "He is [confident], you have got to be, the way he plays. Of course, he has played a lot of football this last six or seven weeks. He has played all the games in the last few weeks. "He has just grown in confidence, the maturity the way he plays, but his work-rate never stops and that is the most pleasing.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
“Oh yes, we were [glad to hear the whistle] but it seemed really, really, I wouldn’t say comfortable, but we played some great stuff. "At the beginning of the second half, we created some chances and we should have put the game behind us but, in any game, you get problems and challenged and Brighton more than other teams because they are so resilient and stubborn. "They are hard to break down and have good defenders, good midfielders and, of course, when they put the ball in the box, you have to defend. But we played some fantastic football at times.” - Ole Gunner Solskjaer |
