when God decided to give Jesus up to redeem us from sin , he really meant it. john 3:16
the devil on the other hand who does not know all things, thought he was destroying Jesus by using Judas Iscariot against his master, not knowing he was aiding the main work Jesus came to earth. Am sure if the devil knows from the onset that once Jesus dies, we are going to obtain libration and deliverance from the bondage of sin, he would have done everything possible to prevent Jesus from dieing.

The same Bible says in the last days, Christians will be killed and beheaded just because they are followers of Christ. It has already started happening in some Northern States in Nigeria, where some Muslims would stop commuter buses, ask if one is a Muslim or Christian, then line up the Christians who don't deny Christ and start beheading them...


So people who choose to stay with their abusive partners because of their Christian conviction and these Christians above who refuse to deny Jesus Christ at the point of death are in the same boat...it is appointed for all to die once, nobody knows how, to negate the cause of dying in marriage, shine your eyes or shun marrying...Marriage is not by force oh...God help us...

@mclick sir, u didnt explain the two types (formal and informal) of divorce you stated above.

Based on the bible, once you are married, there's no going back. except when there's a case of adultery or death.

Today, people have minor differences and still divorce.
As a child of God, is it acceptable to divorce under any condition apart from adultery?

Can a Christian get married, and probably after realising the spouse is not good enough or not up to what he/she desires and ask for a divorce, and then remarries. Either this or remain in the marriage unhappy for ever.

Can a Christian ask for divorce when there's domestic violence or stay in the marriage till the end of time?

Please share with us based on God's word. Is there any reason why a child of God should divorce apart from adultery?

Its natural to cry for the lost of a loved one. we are human with feelings and emotions. nothing wrong about crying but we should learn to move on and stop grieving for a long time.
even the bible said cry with those who cry and rejoice with those that rejoice.

Thanks. But it annoys when Christians tow the line of the servant given one talent in the parable of the talents. Passive Christianity is not good enough. We should try and if we fail our successors would stand on the "mountain" of our failures to excel.

Its unfortunate that today some herbalist are holding the bible, wearing suits and preaching God's word upside down. teaching wrong things and deviating the heart of many from God's standard. Its sad.
