I cannot answer ur question, because it depends! The old films are a lot better than most of these new films. Nollywood needs to reduce the four parts cycle, and stop dragging simple storylines. Also, we need these real Nollywood stars back in the films like Kate Henshaw, Clarion Chukuwura, Zach Orji, RMD and many more! The English films, also need more diversity of stories that has meaning.

They do this attract people's attention!

It might sell, but not that much! I remember a movie vendor recommended a
film for me, but I passed because there were no familiar faces. Later, I read reviews on the net, that the movie was really good.

Many tribes in Nigeria speak Yoruba fluently! If both parents are Edo, Delta, etc. their child's first name should not be Yoruba(in my opinion)!

I am used to watching Naija films anyways! I am open to any "wood", if the story is instresting and has good actors and actresses. The English genre needs to get their act together! There are too many parts in almost all their films, with simple one storyline. Like somebody said, most of are films are "homemade", and not necessary for theater. Yoruba films need to reduce the Juju crap, Gollywood cut the porn crap! American films need to make more films with meanings. My point is, all of these genres has issues!

Children whose parents did not beat them can never make good fathers! What nonsense! My parents never, ever, beat me, I am 34 presently with 4 kids, and I can boast of being one of the best Nigerian dads ever to pass through this world.

Some of my uncles and aunts once told me that Edo girls are all LovePeddlers and never make good wives! I married from Edo state, and she is from a double broken home, she did not even know her father until she was 21 years old, yet she remains a blessing and an angel to me. I am from not from Edo state.

I read some posts above and people were saying, "the girl is likely to follow her mother's footsteps and break her own home". For your information, men cause 85% of broken homes, either directly or indirectly. The girl's mother might have been an angel which her father never appreciated due to, say, drunkenness, womanising, gambling and all what not. Does it mean that her mother, having divorced the father for such irresponsible behaviours after enduring it for many years, will not be able to bring her children up properly to be good, godly and fit for marriage? No!

Guys, read my earlier post on this issue, there are things you look out for in a lady you intend to marry, and her coming from a broken home or not is certainly not one of them.

Yoruba girls are dirty, so don't marry them.
Ibo girls will finish your money, so don't marry them.
Calabar and Edo girls are promiscous, so don't marry them.
Ebira and igala girls will use juju on you so don't marry them.
Hausa girls will train their children to be bokoharamists so don't marry them.
Port harcourt girls will kill you to inherit your property, so don't marry them.
etc etc etc!!

Absolute nonsense, all these statements. Whatever characteristics you see in any lady from one tribe, you will get thousands from another tribe with such habits as well.

For as many girls who come from broken homes that make bad wives, you will see just as many from stable homes who are bad too!

I can't stand English names. I was baptized in a Catholic church with that name called Helena. . . I have since gotten rid of it. Thanks to lost birth certificate. The useless name has gone on exile for ever. Thank you lord!

I agree with u on this one my sista! Naijas tend to name Old school English names! My legal first name is English and old school! I been try to change or switch it with one of my others names, since I was little. Another thing I cant stand is if both of your parents are Edo, Delta, ebira,etc. your first name should not be Yoruba.

Hey Blazay there is nothing wrong with God names, he gave us the kids and all glory should belong to him. I agree with u on the rest except, some Bibilcal names and English names are okay.

Most of the time yes! There are some people who they can go for any tribe or ethnicity like me. Even if someone speaks Yoruba fluently, sometimes I can tell. Some of my people can't tell, if the person speaks Yoruba fluently!

Name matters! I have many names, but my main one is my favorite(although it is too common)! My English one is alright, but it is so old school! My close friend, who is naija still calls me by my English name, and I told her that I prefer my Yoruba one better.
