Arondizuogu is one of the oldest town in Igbo land filled with a lot of multi billionaires. One thing about Igbo's, they don't play with their houses in the village, so , Izuogu has ancient and current edifice. Go to Aniche village in Izuogu, you will see those kinda house in you see in Europe. 18th century edifice.

In exquisite way of promoting culture and peaceful cohesion among members of a given community, the people of Isiokpo and Akpulu both in Ideato North local Government Area of Imo State embarked on village hunting which they tagged "Isiopko/Akpulu Hunting Festival" which holds every January.

Hunting was one of the unique sources of livelihood among the olden generations. During the time of our fore fathers, a successful hunter upholds a strong recognizable title in the community. But the emergence of civilization has diminished this process, by relegating it to an inferior poor group of people in the society.
But its worthy of emulation that people of Isiopko and Akpulu rejected the extinction of this simple cultural practice. 'The Igbo culture can never go into extinction'

At the begining of every January, they will map out a particular day that will be free and convenient for them to embark on the hunting festival.
Majority see it as s simple way of catching fun, but the attached benefit it upholds can never be overemphasised, it creates unity, love, understanding among the members of communities.

During the evening time, the Bush Meats they captured will be slaughtered, cooked, roasted or grilled and different brands of wine/drinks will be gulped for merriment.

Its always fun that majority return for Christmas every year because of it, both those from abroad. Some of the members make donations so that the wide merriment, fun, dance etc will reach the required satisfaction they need for everybody.

This year made it 7 years the festival was initiated into the community.
When they started newly, only few people came out for the program, but as time moves on, majority started noticing the benefit and trooped in.

According to Justin Milaman Offor, they captured African Civet (known as Edi Ura or Edi abali in Igbo) in this year's hunting festival. The animal evaded them twice, but at the third time they determined to capture it, and which they succeeded.

The Isiokpo/Akpulu Hunting Festival is headed by Obumneme Offor as the Chairman, Okechukwu Ezenwaka, the Vice Chairman and Justin Milaman Offor the Secretary.

After my visit to Aba, Abia state during the yuletide, I can sadly say that we've made another terrible mistake in leadership! There is very little sign of good leadership in the state. Aba is an eyesore! Very dirty... Bad roads... severe hardship... God help us! The propaganda flagged-off roads have been abandoned after buildings have been demolished in Ibadan st, Ibere st, Agharandu st, etc. Ngwa road (New Market), Ohanku road and Obohia is a no go area. Street cultism is the order of the day. Criminals are having a field day in Aba. No single day passes by without an incident of public armed robbery especially at Iheorji, Umunkama, Owerri-Aba, Ohanku, Ibadan street areas. Abia got it wrong again! The abandoned iron rods for gutter construction in Ibere street has claimed 3 lives so far. One person was impaled through the neck by the rods. My dad fell & broke his leg in it too. He could have been the fourth. He is still bedridden since the first week of December 2016. I had to relocate my parents.

Most of the policemen there are no different from touts. Moving about with machetes, trench clubs, iron pipes and all sorts of dangerous weapons harassing innocent citizens/motorists for bribes. The military have been compromised. They are now tools of oppression. Bribe them and they will beat down your enemy. Those fools camped in Ndoki Road Primary School (Ngwa Road, Aba) are worse. They have lost sight of their initial mission. Harassing girls selling wares. Bigotry is their mission statement. A little misunderstanding with a Northerner and you will get reported to the northern military boys in Aba. The northern military boys will not even ask what transpired. They will beat you and ask questions later. The people are stomaching it for now but if not checked, an uprisal is inevitable.

There is no apt way to explain the situation than your write up.
I give Aba just a year, street cult killings will start. It's brewing. No body is taking note. Young kids of 13- 15 years smoking hemp.

Abia missed it again.

Nairaland is good, but why not patronize local Radio and television station within Abia State, especially in Aba as believe that the resources is not an issue here.

Nwosu can't prove it because the board of internal revenue are employee of the state govt, they can't do otherwise.


Providng false information is Uche Ogah's case.

Friday Nwosu alleged Forgery, Sampson Uche Ogah alleged Falsification of Information.


To prove forgery is difficult, so Friday Nwosu didn't get it.



To prove falsification of information is easier and Ogah got it very easily.


Okezie signed on oath that every information he provided is correct and he is reliable to disqualification if any information he provided is found to be untrue. On this basis, Uche Ogah won at the High court.
