rvp2018: Future enemy of the world poverty capital. What a peril we are wishing ourselves.Like we don't have envious southern neighbor.Nigeria until it turns the corner and join progressive nation's like Ghana,Rwanda, Botswana, Mauritus and even Ethiopia is best ignored in my view. This thread should not make you bitter at Kenya that without any minerals is pulling itself by it's bootstrap, it should make you bitter at you political leadership.Until Nigerians revolt and say enough is enough they will continue underperforming. There is no magic.Kenya in 90s was like Nigeria...many were running abroad and vowing never to step back...but thro what we call NARC Revolution we kicked our national party KANU and all the retrogressive forces..started a fresh with new Constitution in 2010..and now everyone can see progress with their naked eyes.Nigeria ended military rule and immediately tapped the same tired military forces to run its civilian governments.Unlike Kenya a barren nation... Nigeria has incredible natural resources, incredible human resource of 200m and just need visionary leadership.Nigeria has to start a journey of real reforms. Its has to stop the miasma of delusion that they are Giants of Africa while infact in whatever ranking they cluster around Niger,Chad,CAR,South Sudan,Eritrea,Somalia, Burundi and DRC Congo.Look at Ethiopia turning the leaf...and borrow that leaf. Before Mele Zenawi Ethiopia use to permanently rank bottom in any indices..now it at least 20 position above..Start by kicking out Boko Haram. It shameful to have 8m internally displaced Nigerians.Provide the army whatever they need to kick out Boko Haram. If you have to triple their budget do it...then fix long standing Igbo grievances by issuing a public apology to Igbos over the massacre of millions of them during Biafra war. That will heal a lot of wounds.Igbos don't need much in my view..they just need an inquiry into Biafra atrocities and public apology..and they will feel proudly Nigerian again. Then deal with Sharia law in a secular country. After the country has healed you can start to develop.South Africa healed thro things like Truth n Reconciliation.Kenya did the same through Truth n Reconciliation.Rwanda have manage to start healing unimaginable pain. Progressive nation's have such national conversation where people can cry and be told sorry we hurt you...just like families do . Otherwise what progress can you talk about when Igbos want to secede, Muslim north want Sharia and the north east are under a grip of Boko Haram. then so be it....enemies we shall be....!! |

rvp2018: Not everyone is dysfunctional like Nigeria. We connected nearly all schools to electricity..both off and main grid..supplied them with laptops, tablets, projectors, printers and some form of broadband..now we are going to move them to fiber.Check Digischool coverage.. nearly 20,000 public primary School covered .It's very likely you'll find a school with electricity and laptops without good desk or even a roof in Kenya http://www.opendata.go.ke/pages/digischool i dont need to click all this your links to know what you are sayin is difficult to do in any nation on earth....!! nigeria was promised a nuclear plant, you think i believe it will happen any soon or even atall....?? stop been myopic, use your own head....stop allowin them gettin away with promises.... |

rvp2018: All colleges and universities in Kenya have had fiber some sinces 90s and now is when focus is on primary and high schoo https://schools.kenet.or.ke/ look,i know arguing with a kenyan is fruitless.... but what i know is,a nation can have thousands of schools all over the country.... sayin that all primary and high schoo would be connected is ridiculous.... because i know kenyan schools are not much better than nigerian schools that are run down or dont even have a roof....so na fiber they need....?? not even european nations are that connected.... fiber is not water you pour around the place to grow tea.... |

rvp2018: Fiber was laid in Kenya 10yrs ago...only Lagos tech scene driven by Nigerian diaspora returnees is active like Nairobi, Joburg, cape Town and Cairo. But we are talking the future...where Nigeria won't feature..it most likely Rwanda and Kenya in SubSahara Africa. As you lay fiber to Yaba Kenya is laying fiber to every school soon...and how do we do it..we lay fiber along power lines. What you're doing now we did it years ago.. unlimited fast internet is available nearly everywhere in most urban areas of Kenya..you can get fiber terminated to you even in a Turkana. That is why Kenya speeds are better than most developed world.. Australia parliament got into big argument when research showed Kenya had better internet than them.As for Nigerians still using opera mini to stream internet...you're 10yrs late.I don't see anyone digging around installing fiber anymore. why do you kenyans love lying this much....?? |

vaxx: It is simply a diplomatic measure not to cause additional suffering for both nation but in the spirit of diplomacy, there is what is called reciprocation and some Ghanaians are already pushing for it.. Ghana or even benin can easily retaliate, it is so simple . benin/ Togo can simply imposed a ban on goods being exported from Nigeria by air . Ghana may also close down Nigerian banks and other businesses operating within. it is just so simple to reciprocate. Ghana is not just interested to be blind foolishly.....
Nigeria is so fortunate that Ghana is not under a conservative leader like Jerry rawlings who is also like buhari in thinking..... Only obasonjo knows better during the military regime. Any historian should learn what went wrong between the two nation then... bros,if you keep your ghanaian door closed, its your right.... you people started pissin off nigerian traders in ghana, did we complained this much....?? what is next....?? placing sanctions on each other....?? ports are open,moroon....air too.... you cant argue with me about my own area, you lost your freakin mind or what....?? |

I never knew how illiterate most of our Igbo brothers are until last general elections when Nnamdi KANU asked them to boycott the elections.
I told them that they were aiding Buhari's return by boycotting elections but they argued in a lame way.
Finally the stupid Nnamdi asked them to go and vote when registration and card collections were over by months. Maybe he expected them to vote with their Biafran flags.
The north and the rest of Nigeria are still apprehensive of the Igbo because if the activities of somebody like Nnamdi KANU. we told them to give up ipob, they didnt listened.... what now....?? the mistrust against igbos is hugh now.... what now....!!?? this situation is very unfortunate for all of us nigerians.... |

You cannot tell me the whole world doesn't know Nigeria is unique and special. Believe me, they know.
So what's the problem?
Imagine Americans abusing their country on a daily basis or the British? It is impossible to see. So the gods forbid a foreigner trying to learn about Nigeria comes to nairaland and read some people's diatribes about naija... The little respect don vamoose be DAT.
Because of disunity, our haters now know our weaknesses... That's why Nigerians are often targeted by other nationalities because they feel many of us in Nigeria don't know how good we look together.
If fellow Nigerians can gather to say the worst things about naija who are they not to follow suite? And we will be there forming "only us can say bad things about Nigeria" It's a lie...
Unity is our greatest struggle and might be the last straw that breaks the camel's back. nigerias weakness is family business.... their are systems in place that dont allow foreighners to use that weakness against us.... |

Aldebarann: Have you ever wondered why Russia has variants of the surface to air missiles from SA-10 Grumble to S-500? They do not have the striking force of the US. B-1 Lancer, B-2 Spirit, B-52 Stratofortress, F-35 Lightning Thunder, F-22 Raptor, F-18 Super hornet, F-16 Falcon, F-15 Silent Eagle, A-10 Warthog et al. The B variants are bombers. F variants are multirole fighters (flanking, dogfighting, attacking), Warthogs are tank busters. You know what they say: Attack is the new defense. I can’t even begin to talk about naval warfare . They will both incur huge losses but the US will still come out tops. I have read & watched videos enough to know it is almost impossible for a single country to win the US in conventional war. And if they resort to nuclear, MAD comes into play; 66 nuclear weapons & everybody dies. why should you be afraid what they do to theirselfs anyways you are black....you suppose to be cheerin them on to kill theirselves.... |

Aldebarann: Newest weapons don’t just sit docks. Aircraft carriers always have patriots, aegis, destroyers, submarines, electronic jamming, reconnaissance & multirole fighter jets, plus Apache helicopters. These form a strike group. Without nuclear weapons, the US will come out tops in any form of war against any country. Please, make your research & see. true true....but they are destroyable too.... go study how the russians drove the germans back....they called them katjushas....simple projectile launchers in numbers....!! very cheap to manufacture.... |

Aldebarann: Yes, but Russia still lags behind. They don’t have as much money! Why else do you think they made RS-Sarmat missiles? Left to conventional war, no country will win the USA. Nonetheless, Russia is a force to reckon with not realy....you seeing it from the angle of annual budget....you would be surprised how easy it is to destroy newest weapons if you know how.... russians are actualy smart to do it this way....much cheaper and the enemy is still scared of you.... |
