i can't wait for this country to go full broke then you will respect the hand that has been feeding you for sixty years.

Keep dreaming very soon your government will be using its land funds to maintain the military.

The same "weak but noisy military" is the one currently bringing BH to its knees. Time shall tell. ND militants are not invincible.

The usual zombies have invaded this thread.

Is the oil on Lagos and Ondo not enough again. You guys should advise your highly intelligent brother Osunbade to ask Buhari to cutoff the SS and SE as the oil in your lands will be able to build a greater Nigeria the pride of all nations.

I repeat only a beggar thinks he will get rich by relying on handouts from the street.

We don't want to give u guys handouts again!!!!

Please move on with your sophisticated lives.

Literature › Re: 10 Greatest Literary Writers In Nigeria History by Obijulius: 6:50am On May 17, 2016
Not just writing.

The Igbo man is highly philosophical. A very rationale specie who strives to understand life at the basic and cosmic levels.

This quest for knowledge and his unusual struggle to assume the highest levels of consciousness means a lot. Contributing in no small way to the complex yet effective social systems the Igbo community is known for, the Igbo man continues to appreciate the need for a deeper understandings of the workings of life.

Chinua Achebe spares no ink in trying to expose the Igbo consciousness is his writings.

Igbo is mature and yet still growing.

Proudly Igbo!

Pleas create your own list of Hausa writers and move it to the front page - Elechi Amadi, Ola Rotimi and Wole Soyinka are now Igbo.

@op: your list is perfect. Adichie, Soyinka and Achebe deserve their spot on this list!!!! I have read books from almost all the writers but these three stand out.

Nice one

Politics › Re: Discussion Between An Urhobo Man And A Yoruba Man On Niger Delta About Biafra by Obijulius: 6:13am On May 17, 2016
Lol at how the parasites swooped in to defend their cowardice.

What baffles me is the Yoruba resistance to Biafra. The resistance is to desperate that one would think their survival depends on it.

No Yoruba man will tell u, in reasonable terms, why he is against a SS/SE Biafra. You only hear them say 'let your people leave Lagos first'.

Yoruba land has the largest crude oil deposits in the world (their claim), yet they shiver when the NDA strikes.

Please support statehood for SS and SE. It's not your business if we have chosen to stay together. You guys stand a better chance of making more progress with your masters/cousins the Northeners.

At least for once support something rationale.

Where are the sophisticated people?

Come and show your wealth of knowledge here and comment on this topic.

All the same I blame GEJ for not taking action. He should have ordered a completed revocation of all licenses issued to non-Niger Deltans and issued same to trust funds for and run/managed by the indigenes.

How strangers can lay claim to these oil blocks still remains an injustice that must be addressed.

Please list these tough decisions.

kITATITA:
If not for some tough decisions of the present government, we would have been in same position or worse. Venezuela's economy is on its knees due to its welfarist government over the years. Nigeria is trying to get away from walfarism and naturally some people are resisting. The common man is suffering now but he would suffer more in collapsed economy.

Same thing we should be telling the fools rejoicing over oil in Lagos and the hopeless Presidiot prospecting for oil in the Chad Basin.

Oil is going extinct(sic) can we please cutoff the SS and SE so they don't become a bother to the progressives?

I pray you have a response devoid of insults and support my points.

They have been in the Niger Delta for half a century and what have we benefitted? The proceeds of oil were used to develop all those strange lands and what has d ND benefitted.

Almost all HR depts in d oil industry are controlled by SW/Northernes with their legendary nepotism.

Let them go to Lagos abeg!!!!!!

Politics › Re: Explosion Rocks Chevron Facility In Warri by Obijulius: 10:24pm On May 13, 2016
0kay...u meant it as an insult but it turns out to be true.

Money from the Niger Delta was used to develop Lagos and Abuja for over 55 years and you think it's reasonable. And the f00l called Buhari had d guts to call the region 5%.

You guys say oil is now useless. The wells and oil facilities should be destroyed so that the owners of the land can use it for farming and fishing.

Enough is Enough

God has already saved is.

Lagos has oil and Ondo state has the highest deposit of oil in Nigeria.

I say we give the Niger Delta full independence and see how we can use the oil in Lagos and Ondo to run Nigeria.

We need to depend less on oil from the Niger Delta and harvest what we have on Lagos and the infinite reserves in Ondo state.

Yorubas are accommodating and will share without complaining.
