Whether its big, medium, small or over low budget movies, any is open for reviews. We even review both good and wack movies.

We vote for the movies we want reviewed, and the one with the highest vote gets it at the end of the day. Its that simple.

Lets have some suggestions.

I'm suggesting either:

- Shutter Island (2010)
- The Departed (2006)
- SpiderMan Trilogy
- The Godfather Trilogy
- Iron Man 1 & 2
- or better yet, lets review a wack movie.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009)

@kobikewlu
No keep quiet o!!

@oyb
Not all console games has a PC version. While some developers choose to make games only for PC while some choose to make only for consoles. But some games are available on both PC and console formats.

@oyb
Are you sure the user is a spambot?

@topic
I prefer playing games on consoles than on a PC.

There are more interesting games on the console format than on PC.

"Solomon Kane (2009)". Its not bad sha!!

"The Illusionist (2006)" has an average rating of 86.5% on the NL movie club. Impressive.

@Justkunmi
Oya!! Next movie review.

@O.M.3.G.4
"KickAss" was violent, funny and action packed. Not that I liked the film that much.

@Gamine
Welcome o!!

@JeSoul
I don't know why JK keeps disappearing like a magician all the time. Haba!!

I'm currently gathering all the figures from the reviews. Hmm!! This looks interesting.

AMIRACH:
hohohahhahahha i laugh in spanish i cry in German, madness who is Jim Iyke and what does he do? Nigerians always trying to copy nonsense.

@AMIRACH
How does someone cry in German?

I can't wait to review "Who killed Captain Alex".

JK, its time to wrap up reviews on "The Illusionist".

spikedcylinder:

Meanwhile, someone said he has labalaba lips? I don die!

Wetin be labalaba lips??

Mehn!! We still have a lot of films we've not reviewed here.

Whether its big budget, medium budget or low budget, we still have a lot of films to review.

@MRbrownJAY
I enjoyed watching "Avatar", "Toy Story 3" and "Inception" at the theaters as well.

Its not all films I watch at the cinemas. Some are not worth going to the theaters to see.

@MRbrownJAY aka MRdownload
Resident Evil (2002) is still the best in the entire film series. Resident Evil-Extinction (2007) was a bit OK.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER should be on that list as well. It premieres on December 10, 2010.

INCEPTION

semid4lyfe:
N.b: I nor get time for films that drag. . .it has to prove to be interesting in the 1st 15 minutes otherwise. . . .

@semid4lyfe
Once there are no massive killings in the first 10 minutes, then the film is wack.    Na wa o!!!

@v3
We're almost there.

babaearly:
now i'm convinced that movie was a dud. Never made sense, just see how it ends.  There was not even an applause in the Full Cinema hall.

@babaearly
Is it "Shutter Island" or "Inception"? I watched "Inception" when it premiered in Nigeria on July 30 at Ozone cinemas and there was massive applause for it. But then again, people don't applaud films at the end in Nigeria. I remember when I went to see "Ije" and "Salt". They were pretty good but then again no applause.

One thing you have to understand is that people have a peculiar tastes in movies.

Some people like films that there's massive killings from beginning to end while some don't.
Stay cool.

@spikedcylinder
Ozone cinemas no dey charge N500 per movie.  Na N1000.
Na only Genesis Cinemas dey charge N500.

No interesting film for Naija cinema at the moment. I've seen "Inception", "Ije", "Salt", "The Karate Kid" and "The A-Team".
I'm not interested in "Step Up 3" or "Vampires Suck".

I wonder why we're comparing "Shutter Island" with "Inception"? Compare "Shutter Island" with "12 Monkeys" or "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest".

spikedcylinder:
I even preferred Shutter Island to Inception.

"Inception" is better than "Shutter Island" if you ask me.

spikedcylinder:
Obinna, is Mystic River the one with Sean Penn in it?

Yeah!!

@--190--
The correct spelling is "Sesame Street".

Yeah! I remember watching it as kid. Big Bird, Bert, Ernie and Elmo are my favorite characters.
It started in 1969 and its still running till date.

@vescucci
Whether complex or surprising, "Shutter Island" is still better than "Kajola" and "Who killed Captain Alex".

The movie is even based on a novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane. Dennis Lehane is also the author of "Mystic River" and "Gone Baby Gone".

Rachel Solando. Creepy.

@O.M.3.G.4
Why is "The Expendables" not on your list?

Not that I like these them so much, but here's a list of some of the bloodiest action movies of 2010 so far:
- The Expendables
- KickAss
- From Paris with Love

'Shutter Island' is still better than 'Who killed Captain Alex' and 'Kajola'.

@babaearly
Watch "Shutter Island" to the end and get confused.

Debuting at Nigerian cinemas from today:

- Brooklyn's Finest (Ozone cinemas only for the meantime).
- Sindara (Nigerian movie showing at Silverbird and Ozone cinemas)
- Dabangg (Indian movie showing at Silverbird cinemas)

Debuting at U.S. cinemas from today:

- Resident Evil - Afterlife

@vescucci
Oga JK, comes to NL once in a week.

@topic
Uncontrollable Tears! Sounds like the title of a Nigerian movie.

Anyways, here's my list:
- The Champ (1979)
- Up (2009)
- The Notebook (2004)
- Titanic (1997)

Only 3 reviews so far for "The Illusionist". Lets have more.

Happy Sallah to all the movie-goers in The Movie Club.
