@eldee Equally! But make them no do rubbish sequels for either "Inception" or "The Dark Knight". ![]() |
@eldee I will still be saying it for a lifetime. I like both "Inception" and "The Dark Knight". |
@ijaw_girl Why are you showing me that yeye teaser trailer for "Tron Legacy"? The teaser is just for fancy. It doesn't tell you what the film is about. The theatrical trailer is available and it explains what the film is about. I'll post it soon with that of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". |

@JeSoul I still have mixed feeling about the idea of doing a sequel for "Inception". When "The Matrix" first came out in 1999, people liked it. But when those two sequels were released in 2003 (Reloaded and Revolutions), the whole thing sucked. If Christopher Nolan still handles the sequel for "Inception", then it will be good. I hope. ![]() @eldee I like both "Inception" and "The Dark Knight". ![]() |

@MRbrownJAY Do you ever go to the cinemas?? ![]() I'm sure if "Ije" or "Kajola" was available on-line, you would have posted it. ![]() You're still my guy sha. ![]() |
This is OLD news!!! It happened in 2009 when cinemas were told by the FG to stop showing "District 9". |
"Inception" ain't doing badly at the box office. "Inception" had a production budget of $160 million and it has made $250 million in the U.S. and $565.4 million worldwide so far. Quite impressive for a movie that is neither a sequel, remake, comic or novel adaptation. |
@JeSoul Is complex the same as technical? NO Complex - A complex is a whole that comprehends a number of intricate parts, especially one with interconnected or mutually related parts Technical - having special and usually practical knowledge especially of a mechanical or scientific subject Somethings can be complex but not technical while some may be technical but not complex. |
@lalaboi "Inception" is not complex to me. Its technical. And the story is not confusing like "Shutter Island". ![]() |
@justkunmi Lets round up and review another movie. |
vescucci:@vescucci I agree. ![]() @iice I saw the missing post. "Underworld 4" is completely unnecessary. |
@justkunmi The reason why I don't give long reviews like Roger Ebert or Emanuel Levy is because I don't want Nairaland spambot to tag my post. So that's why I make them as brief as possible. And the end never justified whether it was a dream or reality. It keeps the audience guessing. |
@JeSoul No mind that film "Memento". "Memento" made me to take Panadol after watching it. But its still OK. |
@JeSoul The storyline of "Inception" is not as complex as "Memento" or "The Matrix". To me, its not difficult to understand. If you watch "Memento", you will be forced to segment your brain to understand it because the story was told in reverse chronological order. |
Legolas!! That's Orlando Bloom's character. Nice. ![]() |
@JeSoul have you watched it yet? ![]() |

@ijaw girl What's the percentage rating? Thanks for putting the rating in your comment. ![]() |
Like V3 has said, 2010 has been a year of not so good movies. They may be making money in the box office but in terms of storyline, acting and vfx, it has not been encouraging. ![]() "Inception" is one of the best films I've seen this year along with "Toy Story 3" and maybe "Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time". The storyline for "Inception" was good but I noticed some loop holes in it. But still a good story. Good acting from Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Tom Hardy and Ellen Page. With good visual effects and a technical story, "Inception" is one of the must-watch films this year. I rate it 90%. |
@polyphasic "The Expendables" premiered on Friday in the U.S. and it has not started showing in Nigeria yet. I've not seen it but it has been getting both good and bad (mixed) reviews online at the moment. |

Speaking of comedies. I saw the trailers of "Vampires Suck" and "Lottery Ticket". They both looked like films that will suck. ![]() Vampires Suck trailer [flash=640,385] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHkPJ1ACLrg?fs=1[/flash] Lottery Ticket trailer [flash=640,385] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBtplgiBm2k?fs=1[/flash] |
@ijaw_girl Your Harry Potter Thread is not locked. I noticed that if your post is too long, the spambot deletes it. |
@ijaw_girl Thats what I'm saying. It only makes more than $900 million worldwide but makes between $300 - $310 million in the U.S. "Avatar" has made $2,740,405,721 worldwide and I heard an extended version is coming out on August 27 2010. |
Na wa o! It seems like someone's posts keeps getting deleted. ![]() |

@ijaw_girl Do you think "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" will sell more than "Toy Story 3" this year? "Toy Story 3" has made $400 million in U.S. Box Office and $940 million worldwide so far. I believe Harry Potter may not be able to beat it in the U.S. charts but it can surpass it worldwide. Lets see. ![]() |
"Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" failed to impress at the U.S. Box Office over the weekend. Maybe people are getting tired of Michael Cera's movies. ![]() |
