There was jubilation among women of Akwa community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Saturday, April 11, 2020, when a non governmental organization, The Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation, distributed over 400 bags of rice to women in the community; as its own contribution towards cushioning the bad effects of the Coronavirus, especially among rural dwellers.

As they got bags of rice tagged: "Covid-19 Relief Package," the women, who converged at Akwa country home of the benefactor, were full of praises; thanking God for giving them a good son, who would remember them in a time like this.

While distributing the items to the woman, Nze Sunday Obodoagwu, who represented the chairman of the foundation, High Chief Stanley Chukwudi Obodoagwu, said that the aim was to put smiles on the faces of the woman, especially in this period of Coronavirus, when everybody is expected to stay at home.

He said that the chairman and founder of the NGO, High Chief Stanley Obodoagwu, though not in the country presently, was disturbed that women would be locked indoors without food to keep body and soul together. He said that if women, who are the mothers of their respective families, were made to stay indoors without food, for fear of contacting the sickness, very soon, the families would start to die of hunger.

"Chairman of this foundation, High Chief Stanley Obodoagwu (Eze-udo Gburugburu), is not in Nigeria now, and cannot fly in to carryout this exercise himself, due to global lockdown. But being a man that derives joy in putting smiles on the faces of people, he becomes disturbed about the conditions of women and other people in his town, who go to sleep everyday without food, due the lockdown.

"This foundation had also, in the recent past, rolled out free medical outreach in our community, where indigent but sick people where treated at no cost. It has also been helping motherless babies. This foundation constructed the table tennis court in Ihiala police station; among many other things," he said.

Also speaking, members of Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Eugene Nwankwo and Afam Onunkwo, also commended Chief Obodoagwu for remembering the women in this critical period, and prayed God to bless him.

Some of the beneficiaries, Regina Onuigbo and Rita Okoli, also expressed their gratitude to High Chief Obodoagwu for his good gestures, and prayed God to continue to bless him and replenish his purse.

Addressing the beneficiaries, 73-year-old Mrs Anthonia Obi, patroness, Akwa women worldwide, commended the benefactor for his works of charity towards his people.

She also tasked women and families in the community to adhere strictly to all safety measures as stipulated by government; so that none of them would die of the disease.

"As we thank God that our dears son, High Chief Chukwudi Stanley Obodoagwu, has remembered us at this period of Coronavirus lockdown and Easter festivity, I want also to remind Akwa women to ensure that their families stick to safety measures by washing their hands regularly with soap under running water, and keeping the social distance; among other measures," she admonished.

Also speaking, Mrs Happiness Odinaka, President General (Women Wing), St. Joseph's Parish, Akwa, thanked the benefactor and urged the women to always remember him in their prayers.

The Senior Pastor of the Bible Base Miracle Assembly, Rev. Jerry Nwachukwu, has said that his church has witnessed great turnaround since 2001 when he encountered Dr. Uma Ukpai, the renowned evangelist.

The man of God said that his encounter with Ukpai was a great boost to his ministry as the fortunes of the church changed dramatically, with miracles, signs, and breakthroughs.

"In 2001, I came in contact with my spiritual father, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, during the Greater Ibosi for Christ Crusade. During the crusade, God wrath miracles through him.

"Prior to the crusade, God revealed to me in the dream where he was sending me to an errand, and if I made a mistake, he would correct me and send me again.

"Thereafter, we had Ministers' Programme at Awka, Anambra State, where Ukpai ministered. He called for an offering. When I went to redeem my offering, I told Rev. Ukpai how God told me to submit myself to him as my spiritual father.

"This revelation became a reality in 2017, when he adopted me as his spiritual son. Then, in 2009, he visited our church at No. 19 Ezendu Street, off Mesedes Avenue, Nkpor, Anambra State, for a crusade. The crusade took place at the United Primary Schools, Nkpor-Agu. There was no motorable road to the venue of the crusade.

"So, Ukpai made a prophetic pronouncement that whoever that would emerge next governor of Anambra would build the road. Our church building then was downstairs. He also made a proclamation that the church would soon become an upstair building.

"Not quite long, God blessed our ministry, and we were able to change our church building to an upstair with underground and gallery. We also bought a building and additional lands. Also, the road leading to the United Primary School, venue of the crusade, was also tarred. So, his prophesies worked for us!

"There was another prophecy he gave during a crusade in our church, where he proclaimed that a certain female member of our church, whose marriage collapsed for about 27 years would be reunited to her husband. After the crusade, her husband that had two other wives after her, divorced the wives, brought her back; and wedded her in the Anglican church.

"During a 50,000 man march crusade organised by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, at the Alex Ekweme Square, Awka, Anambra State, he prophesied that Governor Willie Obiano would win his second tenure election convincingly; and it came to pass. That was the first time a governor in Anambra won in all the 21 Local Government Areas. It never happened before!

"So, the coming of my spiritual father to our church and Anambra State, have been a blessing to us. Since we got connected to him, he has been visiting every year, and God has been using him mightily to bless us," Rev. Nwachukwu testified.

The Senior Pastor of the Bible Base Miracle Assembly, Nkpor, Anambra State, Nigeria, Rev. Jerry Nwachukwu, has revealed some major signs and changes that would be seen in the world after the Coronavirus pandemic.



The pastor, who spoke at the headquarters of his church at No. 19 Ezendu Street, off Mesedes Avenue, Nkpor, Anambra State, said that immediately after the Coronavirus, there is going to be serious economic crisis in the world, such that many world powers, who put their trust in their technological and scientific knowledge and powers, will go down; while many other nations will surprisingly spring up and rise to stardom. He said that shocking events, which will follow the pandemic will bring many into repentance and the knowledge of God.



According to Rev. Nwachukwu, "On the night preceding the 2020 New Year day, God revealed to me and spoke through me about a deadly virus that will ravage and shake the entire world, and will take many lives. God also directed us to pray and administer Holy Communion on the faithful as antidote against the virus; which we did.



"Today, God has also revealed to me the things that will happen to nations of the world after the disease. God revealed to me that many world powers will not only collapse, but will also come to the knowledge and Supremacy of God."



He said that after the pandemic, "there is going to be serious economic crisis in the world, when many world powers will go down economically; just as the outbreak will be a blessing to some nations, which will spring up to prominence.



"So, many world powers will realise that ultimate power belongs to God; not man. Operations of human beings against fellow human beings will reduce. Many nations, irrespective of their scientific knowledge, will realise that there are realms where they cannot operate.



"As Coronavirus leaves the surface of the earth very soon, sons of men will give greater attention to the things of God. The knowledge of God will get to all the people and places it has not gotten to."



He, however, urged the faithful not to panic as the pandemic was only meant to turn many to the knowledge of the Supreme Being.

The legal team of Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, has rejected a possible offer by President, Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, to stand surety for the detained activist.

Fear struck residents of Alaoji community in Abia state, following the discovery of caskets where two abducted kids were kept.


It was gathered that the two kids were rescued from two caskets, following the apprehension of some abductors with two white caskets, which is meant to convey them outside the community premises.
