timpaker: Chairman, we settled out of court oooo.
Cuz the lawyer I was given said our case is a "puppet csse" (I don't know what he meant by that) and advised I reached an agreement with the lady.
So I swallowed my pride (the woman is well connected) and agreed never to turn it up very loud.
I've since put up the sound system for sale undecided
good. Never hurts to be peaceful.

dragnet: definitely caused by overheating, likely causes are blocked vents, caked thermal paste of bad fan.
put your hand near the vents and feel the air leaving the vents,....does the air leave in trickles or "massively" ?
does your fan give a normal whirling sound or does it produce a loud sound like that of a car radiator?
it leaves in trickles and gives a normal whirring sound.

Thanks all. It all boils down to one thing, the fan. I would check on it. For those asking, its a hp mini. I even reloaded the os to windows 7 thinking thats the cause but i have known better.
