Gbawe:That was a rather long epistle but if somehow u convince yourself tinubu will be allowed the free reign he had with lagos state, I commiserate with you on your loss but pls wake up to the emerging realities. OBJ can never work to enthrone tinubu as the undisputed political champion of SW. A little of your history should have told u. OBJ never changes. No doubt tinubu was largely instrumental to buhari's election, but in due time, I repeat u will be reminded how the northerner thinks. Your naivety worries me. |
The jungle is maturing and Tinubu is about to be reminded the owners of the game called Nigeria. Nigeria is too big to be treated like Lagos state. Buhari will always treat OBJ with respect . OBJ we know is not an admirer or respecter of tinubu. Game on |
Demdem:As long as lagos is part of the country Nigerian, it can never be regarded as a foreign land to Nigerians. |
This is how a responsible coporate body responds to a grave and disturbing human disaster problem in their home country? Threatening its customers? Only in africa. If it was in the US, Mtn would be immersed in the most vigorous PR activity demonstrating more social rresponsibility and human relations.MTN is telling Nigerians they would not mind going out of business in nigeria? Threatening Nigerians with job losses? With the mind boggling profits and rip off tariffs which are perhaps much higher than in SA, they have the indecency to condemn Nigerians rightly outraged about the horrible events in SA? Let Mtn be aware that there are other companies waiting to step in and absorb a good proportion of th ose endangered workers. Pls what are the other companies doing? O boy this is a rare opportunity to seize some market share from MTN. Start commercials condemning xenophobia with subtle hints at MTN and offer irresistible bonuses to switch over. Give me this project to handle and I will hurt MTN big time |
illiad:U dey mind them. Jungle go soon mature . Tinubu has no idea what is about to hit him. I believe it will be done gradually so that feathers dont get ruffled but if anybody thinks this mallams will sit down and watch tinubu commandeer all govt. Apparatus, they underate the northerner. Tinubu will be given his place in due time |
Perhaps just mere speculations, but just in case; Fashola fct minister, tinubu wants to amalgamate the lagos and abuja economy. Too many old individuals but then the president is old himself and doesn't want to be outpaced by the agility and smart thinking of young technocrats, so he goes for his age mates . How about Richard Akinjide for justice ministry |
As a people we have our share of problems. The number one problem we have is the lack of communal organisation for political purpose. Its about time we used our umunna meetings to drive a political agenda. Question is who sets the agenda? Ohaneze ndigbo has shown itself inept at any credible representation or mobilization. There is a need for a coalition of the youth, professionals, business men, students and all genuinely concerned ndigbo. An organization that watches the political space and guides our thoughts and activities in politics and economics. Analyse the men and women presenting themselves for political office with a view to identifying those more likely to provide sound leadership. We cant continue the way we are especially within the context of a country seriously divided along ethnic and regional lines, lest we loose our recognition as a major ethnic race. We are endangered and it starts now |
naijamark:Really, yet a generation of people have for decades raped and abused the welfare and other social amenities in the UK and continue to do so,unapologetically. white collar, blue collar and all manners of criminal activities including imigration offences. Some are quick to tout their citizenship of the country, yet a sizable portion are illegal immigrants. Those countries are owned by white people for whom the UK and other advanced countries are home to. This same immigrants are quick to claim citizenship of a foreign land and reap all benefits even when they have terribly undermind those countries and have not contributed in any meaningful way. The whities are told to get used to the "new country". These are blacks or whose parents have travelled across continents to settle down in a foreign land, yet they have been accepted. Back home this same set of people will express the most xenophobic contents because fellow nationals have dared to have some sense of entitlement over a land they were probably born and live. The heart of the black man is so dark. Terrible double standard. |
LagosDecides15:This is exactly the same mindset as these urchins and degenerates causing these mayhem in SA.The same DNA. You rent out a shop to someone who pays u money. You sit on your ass and watch that person build the business through difficult times and eventually finds some sucess. You are traumatized beyond measure to see that same hitherto humble fellow, begin to live the good life in line with a new found status. Perhaps cars, maybe a new house, new friends. Essentially the swag changes. It is human nature. Here in US, its called the American dream and its encouraged. In Africa it is demonized. u attract so much envy and jealousy from your "hosts" ( it doesn't matter that its in your country and u received no support). The result is the shameful act playing out right now in SA. The ibos will not apologise for choosing to live, work and do business in any part of Nigeria, which they belong to. I would advice u to use ur time wisely. The truth and plain psychology is that a succesful man is not easily threatened by another man"s sucess. If u choose to sit iddly and wait for a chance to break into that shop u so shamelessly covert, u might get killed in the process. Otherwise u are a scum of the earth, doucebag like the south african dirtbags |
It is the right thing to condemn this barbaric and atrocious acts. While we do so in droves, lets not forget the xenophobia that exists within our own country. Yes right here in Nigeria , there have been mass expressions of morbid hatred between regions and tribes.we must not allow this evil seed grow. Tribe and tongue may differ but it ought to be one nation.we might have our frustrations about each others tribe, but on no account should we give vent to such frustrations with dastardly acts like being witnessed in SA, but is anyone home? |
bushdoc9919:Correction pls, only in south west Nigeria are drug pushers voted in by their people to represent them. Remember this names. BOLA AHMED TINUBU, elected senator and gov of lagos state and currently the leader of the south west, OLUREMI TINUBU, currently a 2 term senator representing lagos state. Its not new. By their stripes, sorry tribe we shall know them |
Drug pushers in the northern district of illinois? Pls call them out BOLA AHMED TINUBU( yes the same jagaban) and the new leader of the south west. OLUREMI TINUBU, distinguished senator representing lagos state You see them. Na, they wont see them. They gave gone to bed on this one, but we know . |
SLIDEwaxie:Hausa pple residing in the south east are very loyal oooo. Dem no de cause mayhem like in kwara states. When u hear fulani/hausa vs igbo, its always in the north. In the east they are always on their best behaviour. You cant hear stories like fulani herdsmen kill 10 in oyo state, kwara destroys crops etc, no no no |
U ve got to love my people. Lol, the brazenness na die.lagos and now abuja. But wait a minute, someone pls remind me, what does your citizenship of a country entitle u to? To live and work freely in any part of the country, right? Elsewhere in the world Investors, big and small are treated specially for their support of the local economy. The jews control a vast portion of the new york economy and no political consideration is complete without jewish interests or their representatives at the table. I was born and raised in Nigeria but emigrated to the US a while ago. I have since been rewarded with its citizenship and all around me are systems and structures that nurture and protect my enterpreneurial quests and investments, yet same cannot be said of my country of birth. I run the risk of a date in the lagoon or be reminded of one.The problem is the igbos having been stopped from breaking away have come to believe the notion that there is one country. Umu nnem it is a mirage and the earlier we understand it, the better. Think home |
Ariel20:Story for the gods. When it comes to corruption, ibori has a lot to learn from Bola tinubu. Tinubu is arguably the most corrupt politician alive in Nigeria today. Throw in his drug peddling background and the picture of a most beguiling and conniving criminal looms large. He is the champion of kleptocracy. If I understand u well, its ok for tinubu to plunder his state's resources so long as he has businesses here in Nigeria. Little wonder we are where we are. Nigerians deserve the leaders they have. Bola's day might not come but we know where he belongs and its not with the Iboris. Ibori is a saint in tinubu's world |
lastpage:I guess u conveniently left out the multitude of your people in uk jail for a myriad of criminal offences. Your self righteousness indignates me. We know who takes the cake in drug trafficking. Bola tinubu, Remi tinubu, Buruji kashamu, bernard (the one buhari publicly executed). The Ibos continue to excel in their business endeavours thanks to, I repeat, their smart and superior business acumen. The indians and chinese are globally touted for their enterpreneurial acumens, yet they are responsible for over 70% of fake and adulterated products the world over. It simply comes with the territory. The overwhelming majority of ibos should be lauded for their enterprising skills. The small minority Involved in underhand activities should be condemned. |
For full disclosures, I am ibo. It was a very irrational statement by the Oba, no doubt but lets not match the rashness by casting the Oba in a most disrespectful manner. Two wrongs dont make a right. Moving on to another subject. For the avoidance of doubt, the ibos do not need to be grateful to anyone for freely exercising their right to citizenship within the nigerian state. If they are leasing their accomodation, they pay rent to the landlord. If they own their accomodation, they paid for it. If they own their business they built it on the back of their sweat and clever business sense Nothing was handed out to the igbo man and so I do not understand this mentality that they should be grateful to their "accomodating" host. How so? As long as lagos is a state within the territorial bounds of the country Nigeria, every nigerian citizen is entitled to every citizenship rights without fear of bodily harm or damage to properties. These rights are inalienable and non negotiable. |
Did u say drug peddlers, hmmm. Ok, how about a few notable ones BOLA AHMED TINUBU, REMI TINUBU, BURUJI KASHAMU, BERNARD OWOH. Am sure these namew are familiar to u cos they dont sound so iboish.uote author=mulattoclaro post=32554396] eya. Now I know how difficult it is being igbo. This is not the civil war. You'll all perish if you choose to start any trouble. Your bloods will be used to cleanse the land. I can't wait for you guys to carry out your threat. We are waiting. You igbos are the people that give Nigeria a bad name. Besides being drug peddlers, prostitutes, you guys are also known to be thieves. Should you be out there with your fellow igbos stealing or something? This is just a mention. There's nothing to steal here.[/quote] |
The kingdom of God suffereth violence and only the violent takes it by force. Its about time Ndi igbo played the game, same one the yorubas and niger delta played and just recently the hausa fulani. We are wise not to kill ourselves. Non violent agitation does not work in Nigeria. Show some teeth and u get what u want and dont give me that "general"bullshit. Buhari is over rated in my estimation. Dude got kicked out without a shot. So much for being a "General" |
(including the Hausas themselves).
