Ijaya123:Buhari has from day one since the call for devaluation maintained he would not devalue. It didnt stop the naira free fall. Ifeanyi ubah raised the stakes when he categorically stated the dollar rise was orchestrated and artificial. The market reacted. He simply brought in a consciousness that the naira fall was fake. Then businessman rabiu camw on board to lend credencw to uba's stance. If u are an average dollar speculator, u became edgy and thinking perhapa time to offload. If u are a buyer, u relaxed a little bit and maybe become more patient. Uba sefinitely pulled this off. Not saying it wont slide furrher down but at least there is an awareness of the dark nad wicked art of dollar manipulation |

Your words not mine. Sorry for your misadventure. Pray it doesnt cost u. |
omonnakoda:Drive them from which land? Same one your lazy ass father and ancestors sold to them? A little reminder here. Remember the party thrown on grandma's 25th memorial?what about kunle's big party for graduating from the vulcanizing apprenticeship? Yes thats where the proceeds of the land sale to chukwudi went to. Chukwudi owns the land now, sorry. |
KINGinVAHALA2:Save yourself the anguish. Next time u see a thread about Anambra, do the needful. Scroll along. U must not indulge yourself in painful acts |

Rose2014:IRAN for over supplying of crude oil thereby sending prices further south.. Then they will blame USA for aggreeing to lift economic sanctions on iran at a time Nigerian economy was being battered. Next will be the POPE for not doing the needful. At a time of economic challenges, the holy one could have rendered a homily or two. Finally the WITCHES AND WIZARDS for conniving to make sure buhari remains perpetually clueless on the enormity of our problems |

They come in. set up their industries and make tons of money but treat their indigenous workers as slaves. pay slave salaries and enforce strict segregational policies like different bathrooms, buses, breakrooms for nigerians and the "expatriates". In some cases even management level nigerians are not allowed access to those exclusive conveniences. They cheat the govt in tax payments by exagerating their payroll sizes. I worked for them. The biggest indian company in nigeria. Yet they are glorified and worshipped. Their fellow citizens from the southeast who just want to thrive are hated and threatened. Is their an end to the blackman's foolishness? |
vivianblog1:Where is the shine? Nigerians and our low self esteem. He attended an energy conference and that by itself is a big deal right? I smell a desperation to find some good news to associate with this president in the midst of all the gloom. Try something else, please. There's nothing here |
charix:Although he was sentenced in 2012, the term is usually backdated to the date of arrest which is 2010. Also the 12 yr jail sentence might be cumulative or sum of the individual terms if he was convicted of more than one offence, however in reality the terms run concurrently. Also prisoners especially of white collar crimes are often released early in recognition of their good behaviours while in jail. No surprises here |
phyllosilicate:Was the said purchase made from the funds approved gor arns purchase? If yes, buhari has a case to answer. What is the established protocol for handling such expenses for ex head of states? If that protocol was not followed, buhari is simply, head and body part of dasukigate. It should be dasuki-buhari gate. Shikena |
nduchucks:When did dasuki say NOI was aware of plans to divert funds? U must know something about this arms deal than meets the eye. NOI might have been suspicious or perhaps even aware that the funds would not be applied fully to millitary expenses, but her job as finance minister does not include tracking weapons purchases. The parties to whom th e funds were released to should be quizzed on how the money was spent. I am totally for this. If along the line NOI is found to have benefitted from the largesse, let the law takes ut course. Until then the dirt just cant stick. Again on current evidence, she is blameless. The tribe of the usual suspects? Look in the mirror. Am sure your knuckle head looms larger than life |
nduchucks:English comprehension is the bigger problem here. Yours. For the upteenth time, she released funds approved for millitary expenses and recommended to the president that they be appropriated for accountability. She has done her job and transparently so. We hail thee, NOI |
nduchucks:And somehow u missed where she said it was 'sequel to a meeting gej chaired ' where a 50:50 ratio was agreed upon, to apply recoverd funds to security and developmental projects. She was seeking the approval of the president to borrow the money from the funds, to pay the NSA sequel to a meeting GEJ chaired where such expense was approved. She did not approve the expense, it was not her job to do so. She would have to approve the disbursement of the funds. That prison go full starting with the actors and down to fashola and amechi who used state's funds to finance buhari's election, while he looked the other way. Buhari himself should be in that prison. I can guarantee u NOI will not be an inmate, much to the deep pain and agony of your likes. |
AnanseK:We need to see people like amaechi, fashola, tinubu, atiku, obasanjo in jail also. NOI is too smart to be tainted by all these exposures. The pertinent questions are- 1. Was she wrong to release funds approved by the president for a national emergency? NO 2. Was boko haram a threat to national security and stability and therefore a national emergency? YES 3. Does the president have powers to order the release of funds not yet appropriated (TO BE APPROPRIATED) for such emergencies? YES. Your saintly buhari did exactly the same thing to pay state's workers. 4. Was money applied to the the purpose for it was approved and released? Is it NOI's job to make sure that was the case? Meanwhile who made sure the funds buhari released to the thieving governors for bail out was applied for that purpose strictly? Has it been appropriated yet? All these NOI storm is being created by the same set of monkeys. Yes the same people that screamed murder over stella odua but turned the other way as evidence of fashola's stealing starred them in their face. Not enen the evidence of monumental stealing and diversion by tinubu fazes them. NOI has done no wrong on current evidence. Throw another mud, baboons |
Eyepencil:Na just coincidence |
SpaceTour:And we clamour for biafra as though it is the panacea for all our problems. The man from anambra taking a mortal swing at the owerri man and the imolite taking a serious dig at anambra state and this is happening all too frequently. No collective or common ownership of everything igbo, good or bad. Pls someone remind me, when last a yoruba from lagos run down ibadan or vice versa? What we need most is a thorough re evaluation of our values, individual and community |
buygala:Wait wait, Baba don come back from iran? Did he actually come back from iran or he made a direct one from iran to malta? This is it. The change we have been waiting for. Well, who needs baba to stay on ground when body odour dey . Govt by body odour and with body language. Sail on, our flying presido. Nothing do u |
OZAOEKPE:O boy be like say u don learn work for TB joshua hand |
dave2meek:And u are not dissappointed in those before him like bola tinubu, Remi tinubu, buruji kashamu and co. |

Dinirojones:The same way our yoruba brothers have avoided and continue to avoid the numerous threads detailing fathers grieviousnessly defiling their daughters sexually. Not to mention the numerous threads revealing the barbaric ferish acts of rituals involving human beings. Name checkers are not the patent rights of just yorubas |
The same way our yoruba brothers avoid threads of fathers molesting their daughters and threads of wicked and inhuman souls butchering their fellow human beings for occult and fetish purposes. quote author=Dinirojones post=39114348]Jus watch our ibo brothers avoid dis thread like a plague awon yeebos " they Neva fail to disappoint *dances shoki out of thread*
|
blacksta:And that is? |
Perhaps this would be the last time the yorubas will be betrayed by the the northern oligarchs, if things pan out the way they are currently. Perhaps there will be the realization that the country is fragmented along strong ethnic lines and needs to be dissolved for the good of all. Alternatively, the SW will realise they are more secured with an alignment with the SE ,SS and moderate NC. The real test of this alignment is an igbo presidency. This will forge unity and enhance trust. AT LEAST U KNOW THE IGBO MAN WILL NOT BETRAY U |
The next gaffe is only a microphone away. At closer to 80 yrs than 75, what do u expect. I mean he called his vp osunbade. Buhari will provide the most comic relief of all Nigeria's presidents. It will be so bad, we will grind our teeth anytime he gives a speech. Obama really sounds like Osama. Change is here |
This bail out must be repaid with some punitive strings attached otherwise it sets a precedent. Squander your state's resources and run to the FG for bail out. Withold the security votes of the affected govs and make the loans repayable with little interest within a specific loan term. It cant be bazaar. Of course the loan has to be deployed to salary payment only and directly by the FG |
No bail out from federal govt. Ogbeni should trim the state's expenditures in the light of dwindling resources. The chopper has to go. His security vote should be mobilised to other public needs. Reduce the political appointees and all the merry go rounds. Increase internally generated revenues. Importantly cut off Tinubu, if he is a leech. Possibly trim down the payroll by cutting down the no of civil servants, most of whom are redundant anyway. By all means, do whatever is necessary to manage your resources. Federal govt is not father xmas |
This is child's play compared to what would be without the niger delta oil and yet some ingrates wont show a little gratitude to niger deltans |
