Be happy for Nigerians. Maybe you are not touched by the hike in price of goods, may be. But what about your extended family that will feel at ease if naira gets better and we don't have inflation? Politics is not do or die. Don't die in hunger to prove a point.

The main issue is that why can't he buy a new Aba made?
The one he's wearing is already messed up.
Are you saying Aba made shoes should be worn once?

No worry, Nigerians will flyAirPeace but imagine what some section of this country has been saying about Dangote and his businesses? I can name more but other parts of Nigeria are not that vengeful.

I hope all these fly Air Peace campaign will help you guys be better towards others.

You don’t seem to get what I’m saying, which is that ANY NIGERIAN who insults a person for using MADE IN NIGERIA products, is a low IQ imbecil.e with foam where his brain ought to be.

But you know the guy is only being sarcastic. The main issue here is the guys insulting Reno for wearing made in Aba shoes. A mischievous nairaland comment doesn't deserve all that anger. Let's appropriate emotions.
Thank you.

Politics / Reno Omokri React As Igbos Mock His Made In ABA Shoe. by ObiORBiafra: 5:29pm On Apr 13
A former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has condemned the backlash he received from Nigerians over his patronage of made-in-Nigeria shoes.

In a statement on his X page on Thursday, Omokri, a staunch advocate for buying Nigerian-made products in order to grow the Naira, bemoaned the insult geared at him for using shoes made in the southeastern part of the country.

Omokri mentioned that his shoe is a made-in-Aba shoe he bought to “help promote the local economy in Abia State.”

Omokri made the remark in his reaction to a post by one Chrispraise Chidozie, who berated the self-acclaimed table shaker’s brand of shoes.

In his reaction, Omokri said, “Thank you for your feedback. That is a made-in-Aba shoe that I bought to help promote the local economy in Abia State.

“I appealed to the public to help me get an Aba-made cobbler. It went viral. And the man made this for me.

“However, if you and the many people from that part of Nigeria feel the shoes are useless, as they said in your comment section, I will defer to your knowledge about your own workmanship and discard them and purchase made-in-Kano shoes.

“I am 100% certain that Nigerians from the Northwest will not mock me for patronising their products as part of my #GrowNairaBuyNaija campaign. Such acts are not in their nature.

“Actually, they make better shoes, but I wanted to be nationalistic and wear something from at least one geopolitical zone.

“My usual hat is from the Northeast. My fabric is usually from the Northwest or Southwest. My embroidery is always done in the north-central area. My walking stick and corals are from the south-south. And my shoes used to be from the Southwest. But I now know better.

We have dem here also, dats really bad u know,.. I have a friend who works at breweries for over 7yrs as casual
Heard the story of a guy that died last year at Nigeria breweries at Sango. He was casual for 13 years until he got crushed by a robot while he's on duty. He died instantly, the company didn't want to commit much because he was just a casual worker. His family members had to block the company entrance, no going in or out. Don't know how the story ended for them. It's really unfair when you see a youth that's trying to work to better his life but got nothing to show for his hard work. He will see his mates that never worked changing clothes and shoes, looking nice always... Many youth rather stay at a junction to beg money than get a job because life is better for them that way than when they get employed. It's really not fair.

When you work for a company for 1 to 3yrs and you see no changes in your life, nothing stop you from leaving that company and move to another company.

I don't understand why you would stay with a company that pays you peanut and yet you are complaining everyday.

Honestly, I just don't understand this mentality.
Lol. You don't determine anything in life as a Nigerian. You won't easily get employed in a company that pays well even with connections because the people already working in those companies are not going to quit and when something happens to them, like let's say they stole or broke a company rule and got sacked your connection to that company already have tens of people before you that need the job as you, some are even their relatives. You see? It's not that easy.

But South West states are peaceful, organized, developed and enticing because they respect everything your kick against that would represent good...

victorclean:
Fearless man. Our governors in SW will never try such out of fear of the strike of Ogun , songo , yemoja etc.

Fake, hypocritical life style, giving high reverence to highly irresponsible, diabolical and traditional leaders with zero developmental foresight never helps. Rather it grooms more blinded followers and acculturate them to the same blind pathways.

Just fight to be a godfather in government through sword, drug peddling, touting ,voodo, and appoint governors and traditional rulers with same feathers. Then control the group of people whose culture mandated them to worship leaders ,kings and touts.

Finally, underdevelopment, killing will rage like fire , while the blind followers will take solace in attacking the good tribe who don't believe in such but believes in giving kingship to who offers good project to community and with developmental insight.

PH and many SE states are fighting such godfatherism and evil vices while SW states uphold such because of no will and fear of the godfathers guillotines. Just like sanusi sacrificed his throne for truth. Non from that side will do such.

This is a bitter truth and why some group of people are the reason while Nigeria has not developed.
