At the end of the whole exercise which took me up to 2weeks with enough of acute satellite disease syndrome .I was able to get the following satellite.from east to west all ku band.
w4/7 97%,newdawn 97%,astra 97%,badr 96%,eurobird 2 52%,w6 71%,w3c 97%,hotbird 57%,w3a 80%,sirus 97%,nilesat 56%,(watching mbc 2 now),atlanticbird 3 70%,nss7 97% .

more reports to come.

picture 8:make sure your pole is plume at angle 90 degrees.that will aid the perfect alignment of your dish.This too is very important.
picture 9.mounting the 2.4m dish on the pole.(NOTE where the base meet the standing pole there it formed "T".the cross bar at the base of the dish should be divided by 3 .For example if your total base length of your dish is 24inches divide by 3 that will give you 8 inches ,mark 8 inches and drill your hole.Then join your pole to the dish at that point that will give your dish perfect alignment and you will be able to get fringe reception like hotbird,nilesat,astra etc.In my first construction i made a mistake and thereafter correction it worked.

The following pictures will be a guide for people who love to construct neck for their 2.4m dish .Mine was ground month and have been using it for the past 4yrs but plan to motorise it.I read all the thesis from season one to date just to get information on what and what to do before i get it done.

picture 3 : the neck of the dish(note precision is very important here)
picture 4 : the construction of the inclination and declination angle with adjuster.

Note to get perfect alignment on your dish during construction ,measure the base of the ground mount dish and divide by 3 that will align your dish perfectly but in my own case i divided by 2.I later on re-adjusted my calculation and the result was perfect alignmnent.

try 1.8m that will be your best bet.on my motorised 2.4m i hit 75% so the bigger the better.

11162 fail to hit green on 2.4m.sportmax from jamaica.dont waste you time .its both free and encrypted.Getting the signal here will be hell on top of roof like 10m dish. LOL

Since you know how to track mytv just input 12130 h 27500 and shift your dish to the left if you are standing in the from of the dish.if u are standing at the back move to your right.i think you shld hit green.GOOD luck.

Odilibe,that is right tracking one satellite is different from tracking multi-satellites on motorise.

Kinsmen2004,if you cant receive nile 201 or atlanticbird 7 beam in oyo jsc5-10 will not come up.auch was able to receive nile201,102,101,atlanticbird7 because of his 3m dish size.i doubt if your 1.8m could do the magic but you can give it a trial.no crime about that.auch thumb up for you.

Auch,welldone.that was a success but you can still work more on the signal because that is what am getting with my 2.4m you shld have better signal strength.you get jsc+5-10?are u on nilesat 201/atlantic7/badr 26.

Read from RDI that a fella got AB7 right on 90cm in kenya and another satmate ihacked in Ghana.if badaru can hit green with his 3m up to 60% in lagos and Adewest 2.4m hit good signal we shld hit at leat 50-52.on some tps,let us keep trying.

Simniboma since you are on 2.4m try to see if digital albania supersport 1-5 tp is receivable from that 16e.

Use aljazeera news tp to track you c band on intelsat 7/10 68.5e.

Sky box is the same as any other box only that its customise for sky just like dstv.

Eri tv is always scramble nevertheless their is always a way out.from italy! sky sport italia is your best bet.welcome to nairaland the home of free to air tv.

Grafiki,go for hotbird,you cant get badr in lagos with 2.4m pictures will be freezing most time,nilesat is your best bet but you cant get all the channels owned by aljazeera sports.you can only get +1-4,on hotbird you get 1-10,(signal drop in the afternoon)if you are using it for viewing center go for 3m and above.just my little advice.

Fox news on that tp is HD the picture quality is perfect.

I think you only get aljazeera sport 1 free to air on that satellite .remember you have jsc +1-10.

uchomania,we have been enjoying free to air since when we join fta club.if one satellite is dead another will surely resurrect that is just the secret.It gives you options to choose .

Get 2.4m and above.nilesat201,atlantic bird 7 ,badr 26e and hotbirds are your best satellites to watch jsc sports.

George am gonna use 1.5kva petrol generator to power the inverter.will 5kva stabilizer not be too heavy for 1kva inverter.what do you think?
