Health / Nature: Natural Curative Values Of Bitter Leaf by obrien29(m): 12:31am On Apr 23, 2016
Bitter Leaf is a bitter plant used as vegetable and herbs in Africa. It grows in almost all compounds in Nigeria. This bitter leaf plant is popular among the old who like its bitterness. In the Igbo area of Nigeria, bitter leaf is used to prepare varieties of soups, ranging from bitter leaf soup to egusi soup to ogbono soup. Although this leaf is bitter, it somehow gives flavor to the soup, it also sweetens it.

This bitter leaf is one of that gift of nature which can be used to make human live better and healthier. Like I had earlier indicated, bitter leaf is also used as herb. This bitter leaf cures many illnesses including skin diseases and it also helps repair ailing inner body organs. Bitter leaf is good for the body when taken as vegetable and when used as herb. Bitter leaf helps tone the vital organs of the body, especially the liver and kidney. These two organs are very important; they cause serious trouble when they begin to fail. Bitter leaf helps tone it thereby making man look healthy.

The bitter leaf plant contains vernodalin, venomydin and saponin. And remember bitter leaf should be taken freshnto avoid lost of nutrients. Some of the illnesses which can be cured by bitter leaf are:
1. Stomach Ache: It cures stomach ache. Chew the tender stem of the plant like a chewing stick and swallow the bitterness. This is a known remedy for stomach ache.
2. Skin Infections: Apply the liquid extracted from the leaf to the affected areas.
3. Loss of Memory: Take one glass of the diluted extracts from the plant thrice daily for two months.
4. Prostrate Cancer: Squeeze the fresh leaves in water and take a glass four times daily.
5. Fatigue: Squeeze the leaves in water and take three glasses thrice daily.
6. Insomnia: Take two glasses of bitter leaf solution every night.
7. Pneumonia: Squeeze the fresh leaves of the plant in water. Take a glass-full thrice daily. Warm the bitter leaf solution each time before drinking. Remember do not boil, just warm.
8. Stroke: Bitter leaf solution calms the nerves, strengthens the muscles and cleans the system.

These and more are the works and miracle that bitter leaf plant can perform. Why do you put all your trust on modern medicines? Nature can also cure, and in a fast way.

Foreign Affairs / Why Do Americans See Donald Trump As The Best Choice? by obrien29(m): 3:58pm On Apr 17, 2016
This blog has followed the updates of the US 2016 Presidential election fairly. There have been articles on the different intending candidates in the primary election of the two major parties. The election is getting closer, and the heat of the polity has increased, some Americans have already concluded and finalized their plans to vote for their chosen candidate.
When we did an article on Donald Trump, his profile was not really that good; his profile isn’t good enough to even vie for the most powerful seat in the world. The President of America is like the number one citizen of the world, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and the key to American’s security codes. His administration, if he wins, will affect the whole world.
Even with his controversial, racist and inciting statements, majority of American still see him as the best candidate for the prized seat. Apart from his business and his properties, Trump has no other leadership skill which can help him in ruling America, and Trump chooses to present himself as a sincere individual who chooses to say his mind on some delicate issues, he also makes inciting statements. What will he gain, and what will America gain if he wins and destroys American’s good foreign policy?
Some Americans believe his stance on some issues and his rash attitude will be the best for America for now. And some Americans are disenchanted with the calmness and slow process of Obama’s administration. They believe they need a man or a woman who is strong-willed, someone who can be bold enough to solve their problem without minding the problems it might cause, someone who can be bold enough to even challenge Putin. What they seek is good, but it is also bad.
What will be of America when their president is a man of unbridled tongue? His tongue can even cause conflict among nations. And with this his bravado attitude, he would put the world peace in jeopardy. We also predict racism and discrimination coming back fully to America. Although he is a successful business man, we don’t see him being capable of managing one of the world’s biggest economy; he will be more interested in policing the world, attacking Muslims and deporting non-Americans. He is not even saying anything about unemployment, housing, agriculture and what to do with the economy, instead, he is busy attacking people’s lifestyle and personality.
However, if Americans think he is the best man for the job, then, he should be voted for. His presidency might end up good, or probably, bad. It should also be noted that America is a mixed-race country, and there is a large number of the colored in America, who would probably not vote for Trump. It should be noted that it is the white conservatives that support his candidacy, and they have their reason for their support. Vote wisely!

Business / Find The Determination To Make Money by obrien29(m): 3:49pm On Apr 17, 2016
Everyone wants to make money through different means. Money can be an agent of insult if an individual is not able to provide the basic necessities for himself; one finds out that to get these necessities, one must have the gateway to them which is MONEY. Some wants to make enough money while others want to make little money as far as they would be comfortable. Most people have tried through different ways to make money, but they find it hard, because they encounter challenges and setbacks.
Money is an activator of determination in the heart of every individual, and this is caused by the look into the future of what money can give and do for a man. However, most people let this determination to wither away, because of the surprising challenges which sometimes seem insurmountable. When an individual is set to make money, he finds out that there are demonic obstacles which prevent him from achieving his goal of making the amount of money he wants. Some of these obstacles might include: lack of resources, lack of patronage and lack of experience. The most common one that forces several businesses to close even after start up is lack of patronage and failure to make income in that business. Notwithstanding, the individuals should not despair, they should walk hard to achieve their goal.
Further down in this article are the obstacles faced by individuals in business start up and their possible solution. Thomas Edison failed so many times before he was able to complete his task. Abraham Lincoln failed many times in his bid for political posts, but finally, he won the most valued post in US through his determination and drive. The current president of Nigeria sought the seat of the president of the country for twelve years, four consecutive times before he finally won the seat and the heart of Nigerians. There are many other individuals who faced stiff challenges, but they were able to over them and become great. When one fails, he should be determined more than ever to overcome his set back. Determination is the key, without determination we won’t have these great people who failed and yet they weren’t forced to stop.
The Challenges and their Solutions:
1. Lack of Determination: Determination is the most important immaterial property needed by an intending business man. Without determination and drive, the business is a failure already, and eventually if it fails, there will be no determination to keep it working. So, an intending business man has to have the determination and drive to achieve a lot in the business world. To solve lack of determination, one should try to venture into the business that interests him. A lover of technology should establish a technological company; one who is a writer should establish a publish company; one must have interests in a business to increase the chances of the success of the business.
2. Fear: Fear is another factor that limits the success of business men and entrepreneur. There are so many forms of fear which may include fear of oneself, fear of failure, fear of people and fear of acceptance. To be a successful business man, one should try to limit his fears; limit is the word because one can never kill fear. However, if it is possible, one should endeavor to kill the fear in order to succeed.
3. Lack of Resources: This challenge is faced by young entrepreneur and others who find it hard to fully start up a business because of lack of money and other needed resources. The capital for the business is usually the major setback of most businesses. There are some countries which have anti-economic policies that deny intending businessmen loans and capital. A determined individual should find ways of getting resources to start up his business especially through writing proposal and applying for these entrepreneurial competitions where one can win money to start up a business. The key issue is an innovative and uncommon idea with an astonishing proposal.
4. Bad Dreamer: Dream is a vital part needed for the establishment of a business. For one to be great, he has to pass through the level of dreaming, and this doesn’t mean daydreaming. Dreaming unrealistic dreams is bad dreaming; these are dream that are not achievable. When one dreams of a career or business, he should try to dream realistic and achievable dreams, and he should also believe in those dreams.
5. Lack of Research and Knowledge: One of the causes of the failure of businesses is lack of research and knowledge of the business. When one doesn’t arm himself with the needed knowledge of the business, he tends to fail because of lack of knowledge and research. Even in the bible, it is written that people die because of the lack of knowledge. One should endeavor to carry out research of a particular business before venturing into it.
If an intending businessman is determined and able to surmount these challenges, there is high possibility of creating a successful business enterprise. Remember that determination is the key. Dream, draw a plan, check the risk and be determined, success shall be all yours.

Good day, I am a student of UNN. Since my first year I have always struggled to survive in school because of the little money my parents send to me. I dont usually have enough money to buy textbooks and to even eat good food.

I have, many times, sought way and methods of making money while concentrating on my studies, but I cant find anyone that is flexible with my studies. Recently, I decided to bet, but I am losing and its unreliable.

Please help a student if you know the best way to make money as a student with no capital. A method that wouldnt distract the primary goal that much. Online ideas are preferable. Please I need suggestions.
Family / Re: Advice: My Father Didn't Train Me In The University, should I Forgive Him? by obrien29(m): 5:19am On Apr 07, 2016
makasimatics:
I am Chukwuma Edozie, from Ogbunike, In Oyi Local government Area,Anambra State.
since I was born, I have never experienced any positive behavior from my father.
He has proved to be a difficult person.
in fact! to the best of my knowledge, he is a very cuny, greedy, and selfish human being.

He would make money but would rather invest it on harlots instead of we the children who are interested in education. In fact, one of his stupid friend had advised him one certain time to not waste his money in the name of training us in the university. " secondary school level is enough for us ", the man said. I don't know if that was what contributed in making my father to neglect me when I was in the university reading mathematics.
Even, amid my days in the versity, I used to take some bags of rice and tin of life vegetable oil to our house without receiving any ' thanks ' from any body though, my mum would sometimes appreciate. I did all those because of the money I generated in my class as a course rep.

Now I have graduated and gone for service in peace after training my self in the university.

With these experiences, I want to know if somebody would blame me if I fail to appreciate him as my father in case I get a work in the future.
Now he tries to come close to me because, he believes that I have conquered

After abandoning me in the campus to die, he still wants to reap the benefits of what he never merited.

well, I think I know what is is my mind.

Apart from course rep was there any other way you used in training yourself? Because I have this problem you had, but I dont seem to find solution. If there is any other way, please tell me

Politics / Is Pdp Ready To Come Back? by obrien29(m): 11:08am On Feb 23, 2016
In Nigeria’s democratic sphere, there are so many political parties, but there are two major political parties that have strong influence over other parties. These parties are the All Progressive Congress and People’s Democratic Party. Presently, the All Progressive Congress is the party controlling the steering of the ship of the country, and the other party is the major opposition party. The issue is: how strong is the country’s opposition?

PDP- People’s Democratic Party has been the party ruling the country for sixteen years having produced three presidents. This party has been accused of gross misconduct and mismanagement of funds by Nigerians, because of this, they were booted out of power.

This is the first time they would be in the opposition, and already, there has been mass defection to APC. It is so obvious that some politicians in PDP were just there because of the good things that had been attached to the party, but when all these good things gave way, they fled!

PDP has released a lot of press statements affirming its willingness to clinch back its lost mandate. But are they serious? They have failed to prove to Nigerians that they have changed. They are disorganized, and there are a lot of disagreements among the party members. There is mass defection of the unfaithful party members and there would be bigger defection of aggrieved members of the party. They have hardly released any meaningful statement correcting the ills of the government in power since they claim the government want silence the opposition. Some Nigerians just want the party to come back and rule the country, others do not want them to come back, they give the reason that they would do better being in the opposition where there would be no money to steal.

So, what do you think? With this level of seriousness of PDP, will they be able to win back their mandate? If APC proves its incompetency, which they are already doing, Nigerians may likely vote for PDP, or perhaps, they would prefer another party since these two major parties have been tested.

Health / The Wonders Of Bitter Kola by obrien29(m): 1:36pm On Feb 12, 2016
Bitter Kola is a small seed fruit, which can be chewed and swallowed. It is bitter in the mouth. It is often taken by the elderly in the society, but it is also taken by the young people who know its relevance. This bitter kola helps humans in many ways; it is medicinal and it is affordable. When the pandemic of Ebola came, people resorted to bitter kola to cure it notwithstanding that it was false. Why don’t we take it before it comes hanging on our neck?
This bitter kola contains kolaviron, flavonoids-apeigenin, saponins, tannins, and resins. And because of the many medicinal value of this bitter kola, it is often used by traditional doctors.

Business / Result Of Absolute Creativity: The Million Dollar Homepage by obrien29(m): 8:20pm On Feb 10, 2016
For those of you who are students and claim they cannot find ways to make money while in school, well, I have some words for you: you are insincere to yourself. You are insincere to yourself. And for some who want to make money in school but haven’t found a way, you need to rack your brain the more. There are so many business opportunities out there, it needs discovery.

MillionDollarHomepage.com is a website established in 2005 by Alex Tew, who was a student. He was a student who sought for ways and opportunities to pay his fees and study well in school. A student is not complete unless there is enough money to settle his bills, buy textbooks and take care of himself. This is what Tew realized.

He brainstormed and thought it out: the MillionDollarHomepage.com. Today, this website is worth a lot of money, and since it is an advertising website, prominent and rich companies are struggling to advertise on the website. But could this have been possible without the creator’s creativity? Of course not.

He also chose the uncommon form of online business and established a new form of advertising online that has revolutionized online advertising. Be creative, do not die of poverty. We need more entrepreneurs, you can be one.

Politics / The Selfish Mentality Of Nigeria’s Politics by obrien29(m): 8:07pm On Feb 10, 2016
Since the All Progressive Congress won the presidential election, there have been defection from one party to another, this is what is known as carpet crossing in politics. In the other democracies of the world, the defection from one party to another is not common, and sometimes shows the individual’s change of his political ideology and philosophy, but in Nigeria, that is not what is obtained.
The first set of people who defected to another party were the members of the People’s Democratic Party who foresaw the fall and the failure of the party in the coming election, or perhaps, people who had problem with the party. And after APC won the Presidential election, there has been mass defection to the new ruling party. The one that is most amusing is the defection in bad times to the other party enjoying prosperity and power. For instance, His Excellency Governor Wike’s ordeal and the recent defection of 700 APC members back to PDP in Benue State because of David Mark.
So what sort of politics do Nigerians practice? I will call it anywhere wey belle face. These politicians have proven to us that are there in politics because of their selfish interest, which is bad. It is not bad for one to have selfish motive, but it is evil for one to be so selfish in his thought and too careless of the masses who are at the receiving end of all these brouhaha.
These two parties as far as I am concerned have no ideologies and philosophies, and the people therein in both parties are the same set of people who think alike: selfish and uncaring, although it is not all of them. These parties are the cause of the problem, because even if they do not have party ideologies and principles, they should ban defection especially APC. Some of the corrupt individuals defecting to APC are tarnishing the image of the party and the presidency, because the party accepts them with open hands without any restriction. Even a murderer can defect to any party as he wishes.
The ruling party should beware of these defections, and should put a stop to them, if not, it will be their own doom. And as for the main opposition party, they should prove to Nigerians that they have changed and are willing to change, they should expel the corrupt people and reject the defectors who are only there for chop make I chop.

Sports / Countdown To The Showdown: Chelsea Vs. Manchester United, 7th February, 2016 by obrien29(m): 6:29pm On Feb 04, 2016
The Chelsea football club has slightly recovered from their frequent loss to different football clubs, even the clubs that are like walkover teams. And they have not lost in their last few games. They have come up stronger and ready to prove their worth in this present campaign. Although they have not lost any match since January, they have always been rewarded with one point in most of the games.
The Manchester United team is performing below people’s expectations, especially those of their fans. They have not really played well in their recent games. They draw and lose at will, thereby causing heartache for the fans. Some fans blame the coach’s style, and there is widespread rumor that a new manager might take over from Van Gaal, because of his inability to move the club forward.
The 7th February showdown will be interesting. Chelsea is at home and they wouldn’t want to lose to Manchester United, their rival. Manchester United wouldn’t want to lose, too. The coaches of the two teams will definitely work hard and bring innovative tactics into the game. These two clubs have always struggled for superiority since the new owner of Chelsea purchased the club, and this struggle has always been stiff—really stiff.
The match will be suspenseful and full of thrills, and it may or may not end in the way people think it would. What do you think?

Business / 4 Easy Ways To Make Money Online by obrien29(m): 12:09pm On Feb 02, 2016
The income that accrues to the account of many people is from online business. Gone are the days when business required physical presence and location to be termed a business or way of making money. In this present age, a lot of people make money online, and some of them are so endowed that they are among the world’s top 50 richest men. Online business has helped a lot of people including stranded students who are in dire need of money to continue with their education.
In this post, we are going to talk about the ways to make money online, in the easy way. We are not going to talk about blogging or online marketing and some others, because these require time, commitment, money, and it may yield no gain. If a blogger blogs for money at first, then, he will be disappointed.
Listed below are the 4 easy ways to make money online, which we think is easier than other forms of doing business online that yields little profit. The ways are:
1. Domain Business
This takes our number one spot. Although, there is not much information on this, we still will give the little details we have. Domain business requires little capital. It entails buying old domains that are no longer in use because, parking the domain and later selling it off to a buyer. An individual makes money when he parks this domain because of adverts, and he also makes money when he sells it.
2. Writing
Writing doesn’t mean blogging. It means sourcing for topics online in different sites, and then working on the topics. In this situation, there is no fear of loss or gain, even if the client rejects the article, one can still re-write it and edit it. The clue for getting a good source of articles is through information. One can also write e-books and sell them; the issue the writer would be concerned with is how to make the e-book catchy and enticing.
3. Applications and Games
For those who know how to develop applications and games, this is for you. You can develop apps, especially android apps and sell them for good prices. This computer and phone age, so, definitely it would sell.
4. Posting Video and Image
Do you know you can make a whole lot of money uploading pictures and videos online? The new trend now in Nigeria is uploading comedy videos. But do you know you can be far more creative by uploading short entertaining films or dance or tutorials? Well, be creative; think of better ways to attract viewers on your uploaded videos. You can make a lot of money on videos and image by adverts, sponsorship or even sending it to popular sites.

Online business doesn’t stress someone to that extent, and the owner will be sure to reap the benefits in a short time. These 4 ways listed above are one of the many easy ways to make money online. And it is guaranteed.

Today, the online community has taken over from the physical community. Now, most actions performed physically can now be performed online. An individual can buy, sell any goods online, he can apply for a job, have an interview and even work online, one can order food online, one can study online, one can chat with friends … the benefits of the internet is innumerable.
One of the benefits of internet is blogging. Blogging is the process of having a personal website that one post write-up, image or video. This website belongs solely to a person, who might want to include other helping hands. Most people are into blogging these days, including I. Most bloggers also want to make money from their blogs, but they find out that it is not that easy to make a considerable amount of money from their blogs.
There are ways through which bloggers make money: ads, sponsored posts, referral links, marketing, products promotion, e-book selling and so more. We are concerned with e-book selling. E-book is a book that can be downloaded or purchased online. Most bloggers write e-book in their area of expertise, market them on their blogs and sell them to their subscribers. Since ad rates are low, and hardly do subscribers click on the ads, some bloggers prefer writing e-books on interesting topics, which may sell like hotcakes.
Every serious blogger is a writer, so writing an e-book isn’t that difficult. However, the disadvantage of this is that much time might be invested in the e-book and it ends up unsold. And there are so many e-books on the same topics, even ones for free, so how would the blogger be able to convince the readers to buy. Another issue is that people who work or go to school might find it hard allotting time for the writing of the e-books.
So, is e-book writing and selling really necessary or important if a blogger wants to make money through writing? Or is ads and other methods better?

Business / Meet The Nigeria’s Finance Minister – Kemi Adeosun by obrien29(m): 9:50pm On Jan 29, 2016
Kemi Adeosun is the current minister of finance in Nigeria. She is a chartered accountant with good repute. She hails from Ogun State, but she was born in London in 1967. She grew up in London, and she worked in London prior to the time she was appointed as the commissioner of finance in Ogun State, Nigeria.
She was born in London to Nigerian parents. She has a degree in Economics from the University of East London. She also has a postgraduate diploma in Public Finance Management from University of London.
She practiced her profession in different organizations from 1994 to 2011 before she was appointed as the commissioner of finance in Ogun State. From there, she was appointed by the Buhari’s government to serve as the minister of finance. She assumed office as the Minister of Finance on 11 November, 2015.
She got her job at a very critical time when the price of crude oil had dropped drastically, and this crude oil is the mainstay of Nigeria. Some Nigerians are already calling for her resignation notwithstanding that she hasn’t stayed long in the office. These Nigerians give the excuse that she cannot come up with an idea that would salvage Nigerian’s economy and save it from eminent doom.
However, she needs time, and she may deliver if given the time. She might do wonders with the economy if things stabilize. She is a rising economist, who can go places, if she serves well in her capacity as the minister of finance.

Politics / How Will You Rate Buhari’s Administration So Far by obrien29(m): 9:33pm On Jan 29, 2016
On the 29th of May, 2015, President Buhari was sworn in as the president of Nigeria. To some Nigerians, he has done absolutely fine, while to others, he has not faired better than the past Nigerian leaders. On social media, there have been disagreements between the followers and antagonists of the administration. The antagonists have often found one mistake or another, and they have even labeled the administration a failure. Nevertheless, the administration is working hard to prove its critic wrong.
In terms of corruption, the administration has probed the deals and activities of the last administrations especially in the area of security where billions of naira are said to have been embezzled. The administration through the EFCC machinery is trying to persecute corrupt officials and send a strong signal to all the corrupt officials in Nigeria. This is the only civilian administration that is willing to fight corruption. And with the probe of various sectors, huge amount of monies are being termed “diverted”. Nigeria is truly rich.
There has been a slight reduction in the price of PMS. The administration has instilled fear into those who see the government has an avenue for amassing ill-gotten wealth. This anti-corruption war however has not improved Nigeria’s economy one-bit or Nigeria’s image in the international community. The ordinary Nigerian is suffering still, and the exchange rate of dollar is high, therefore, making importation difficult and expensive.
The government claims it has subdued Boko Haram, but there are still bombing here and there, though it is minimal unlike before. The government has so far shown that it cannot fully respect court orders. There has been unwarranted arrests and detention of suspects without evidence; the suspects are only charged after arrests. There has been loss of lives of innocent peaceful protesters and believers of doctrine, and this shows no care for the value of human lives. The economy of the nation is falling apart, and although it is a world wide problem, the government needs to do something about this bad economy.
The government has not acted poorly really. However, the administration needs to work harder to meet the demands of the citizens who voted them in. So how will you rate Buhari’s administration? Good, bad, great, mediocre? Rate it over 10. What is your opinion on this?
