SportsCountdown To The Showdown: Chelsea Vs. Manchester United, 7th February, 2016 by obrien29(op): 6:29pm On Feb 04, 2016
The Chelsea football club has slightly recovered from their frequent loss to different football clubs, even the clubs that are like walkover teams. And they have not lost in their last few games. They have come up stronger and ready to prove their worth in this present campaign. Although they have not lost any match since January, they have always been rewarded with one point in most of the games.
The Manchester United team is performing below people’s expectations, especially those of their fans. They have not really played well in their recent games. They draw and lose at will, thereby causing heartache for the fans. Some fans blame the coach’s style, and there is widespread rumor that a new manager might take over from Van Gaal, because of his inability to move the club forward.
The 7th February showdown will be interesting. Chelsea is at home and they wouldn’t want to lose to Manchester United, their rival. Manchester United wouldn’t want to lose, too. The coaches of the two teams will definitely work hard and bring innovative tactics into the game. These two clubs have always struggled for superiority since the new owner of Chelsea purchased the club, and this struggle has always been stiff—really stiff.
The match will be suspenseful and full of thrills, and it may or may not end in the way people think it would. What do you think?

Business4 Easy Ways To Make Money Online by obrien29(op): 12:09pm On Feb 02, 2016
The income that accrues to the account of many people is from online business. Gone are the days when business required physical presence and location to be termed a business or way of making money. In this present age, a lot of people make money online, and some of them are so endowed that they are among the world’s top 50 richest men. Online business has helped a lot of people including stranded students who are in dire need of money to continue with their education.
In this post, we are going to talk about the ways to make money online, in the easy way. We are not going to talk about blogging or online marketing and some others, because these require time, commitment, money, and it may yield no gain. If a blogger blogs for money at first, then, he will be disappointed.
Listed below are the 4 easy ways to make money online, which we think is easier than other forms of doing business online that yields little profit. The ways are:
1. Domain Business
This takes our number one spot. Although, there is not much information on this, we still will give the little details we have. Domain business requires little capital. It entails buying old domains that are no longer in use because, parking the domain and later selling it off to a buyer. An individual makes money when he parks this domain because of adverts, and he also makes money when he sells it.
2. Writing
Writing doesn’t mean blogging. It means sourcing for topics online in different sites, and then working on the topics. In this situation, there is no fear of loss or gain, even if the client rejects the article, one can still re-write it and edit it. The clue for getting a good source of articles is through information. One can also write e-books and sell them; the issue the writer would be concerned with is how to make the e-book catchy and enticing.
3. Applications and Games
For those who know how to develop applications and games, this is for you. You can develop apps, especially android apps and sell them for good prices. This computer and phone age, so, definitely it would sell.
4. Posting Video and Image
Do you know you can make a whole lot of money uploading pictures and videos online? The new trend now in Nigeria is uploading comedy videos. But do you know you can be far more creative by uploading short entertaining films or dance or tutorials? Well, be creative; think of better ways to attract viewers on your uploaded videos. You can make a lot of money on videos and image by adverts, sponsorship or even sending it to popular sites.

Online business doesn’t stress someone to that extent, and the owner will be sure to reap the benefits in a short time. These 4 ways listed above are one of the many easy ways to make money online. And it is guaranteed.

BusinessSelling E-books As A Blogger: How Profitable Is It? by obrien29(op): 8:02am On Jan 31, 2016
Today, the online community has taken over from the physical community. Now, most actions performed physically can now be performed online. An individual can buy, sell any goods online, he can apply for a job, have an interview and even work online, one can order food online, one can study online, one can chat with friends … the benefits of the internet is innumerable.
One of the benefits of internet is blogging. Blogging is the process of having a personal website that one post write-up, image or video. This website belongs solely to a person, who might want to include other helping hands. Most people are into blogging these days, including I. Most bloggers also want to make money from their blogs, but they find out that it is not that easy to make a considerable amount of money from their blogs.
There are ways through which bloggers make money: ads, sponsored posts, referral links, marketing, products promotion, e-book selling and so more. We are concerned with e-book selling. E-book is a book that can be downloaded or purchased online. Most bloggers write e-book in their area of expertise, market them on their blogs and sell them to their subscribers. Since ad rates are low, and hardly do subscribers click on the ads, some bloggers prefer writing e-books on interesting topics, which may sell like hotcakes.
Every serious blogger is a writer, so writing an e-book isn’t that difficult. However, the disadvantage of this is that much time might be invested in the e-book and it ends up unsold. And there are so many e-books on the same topics, even ones for free, so how would the blogger be able to convince the readers to buy. Another issue is that people who work or go to school might find it hard allotting time for the writing of the e-books.
So, is e-book writing and selling really necessary or important if a blogger wants to make money through writing? Or is ads and other methods better?

BusinessMeet The Nigeria’s Finance Minister – Kemi Adeosun by obrien29(op):
Kemi Adeosun is the current minister of finance in Nigeria. She is a chartered accountant with good repute. She hails from Ogun State, but she was born in London in 1967. She grew up in London, and she worked in London prior to the time she was appointed as the commissioner of finance in Ogun State, Nigeria.
She was born in London to Nigerian parents. She has a degree in Economics from the University of East London. She also has a postgraduate diploma in Public Finance Management from University of London.
She practiced her profession in different organizations from 1994 to 2011 before she was appointed as the commissioner of finance in Ogun State. From there, she was appointed by the Buhari’s government to serve as the minister of finance. She assumed office as the Minister of Finance on 11 November, 2015.
She got her job at a very critical time when the price of crude oil had dropped drastically, and this crude oil is the mainstay of Nigeria. Some Nigerians are already calling for her resignation notwithstanding that she hasn’t stayed long in the office. These Nigerians give the excuse that she cannot come up with an idea that would salvage Nigerian’s economy and save it from eminent doom.
However, she needs time, and she may deliver if given the time. She might do wonders with the economy if things stabilize. She is a rising economist, who can go places, if she serves well in her capacity as the minister of finance.

PoliticsHow Will You Rate Buhari’s Administration So Far by obrien29(op):
On the 29th of May, 2015, President Buhari was sworn in as the president of Nigeria. To some Nigerians, he has done absolutely fine, while to others, he has not faired better than the past Nigerian leaders. On social media, there have been disagreements between the followers and antagonists of the administration. The antagonists have often found one mistake or another, and they have even labeled the administration a failure. Nevertheless, the administration is working hard to prove its critic wrong.
In terms of corruption, the administration has probed the deals and activities of the last administrations especially in the area of security where billions of naira are said to have been embezzled. The administration through the EFCC machinery is trying to persecute corrupt officials and send a strong signal to all the corrupt officials in Nigeria. This is the only civilian administration that is willing to fight corruption. And with the probe of various sectors, huge amount of monies are being termed “diverted”. Nigeria is truly rich.
There has been a slight reduction in the price of PMS. The administration has instilled fear into those who see the government has an avenue for amassing ill-gotten wealth. This anti-corruption war however has not improved Nigeria’s economy one-bit or Nigeria’s image in the international community. The ordinary Nigerian is suffering still, and the exchange rate of dollar is high, therefore, making importation difficult and expensive.
The government claims it has subdued Boko Haram, but there are still bombing here and there, though it is minimal unlike before. The government has so far shown that it cannot fully respect court orders. There has been unwarranted arrests and detention of suspects without evidence; the suspects are only charged after arrests. There has been loss of lives of innocent peaceful protesters and believers of doctrine, and this shows no care for the value of human lives. The economy of the nation is falling apart, and although it is a world wide problem, the government needs to do something about this bad economy.
The government has not acted poorly really. However, the administration needs to work harder to meet the demands of the citizens who voted them in. So how will you rate Buhari’s administration? Good, bad, great, mediocre? Rate it over 10. What is your opinion on this?

SportsWhat Will Be The Face Of English League With The Presence Of Muo And Guardiola? by obrien29(op): 8:25am On Jan 17, 2016
Mourinho is a title winning coach; he is brilliant and good. When Mourinho came to the English League for the first time, his style of play and drive revolutionized and changed the normal sport that was obtained in the league. He won the English title twice and he almost led the Chelsea team to win the champions league title.
Guardiola is a brilliant young coach who won good titles while he was at Barcelona, and he is still won some at Bayern Munich. Guardiola ruled the Spanish League with his boys before the coming of Mourinho, Mourinho couldn’t do much to bring down Guardiola’s influence in the league. These two coaches found it difficult to stay together and compete in the same league. There was pride, ego and stiff competition between these two.
There is a rumor circulating in the media that the two coaches will coach in the English League. The question now is how will the face of English League be if this rumor turns out to be true? The attacking and vicious play of Mourinho, and the passing-the-ball-around style of Guardiola, whose team and style of play will rule the English League?

PoliticsBuhari’s Anti-corruption War: Sincere Or Witch Hunt? by obrien29(op): 8:49am On Jan 09, 2016
Nigerians have prayed for the end of corruption in the country the umpteenth time. At churches, at mosques, in buses, in offices, Nigerians have lifted their hands up in the air and prayed for the end of corruption in the country. Every new regime in the country had always promised to fight corruption, but none did. Most Nigerians believe that the immediate past regime romanced corruption and nearly tore this country into sheds.

Now, there is a president who is at least willing to fight corruption. Alas! Some people term the fight “witch hunt”. It can be amusing, are the corrupt ones witches and wizards? Although, no one can be certified as corrupt until when proven, however, some Nigerians have come out criticizing the regime for witch hunting. They have made some allegations that the government is hunting the opposition only. The supporters of the government have countered the allegations, stating that only the members of the opposition party were in the government in the last administration, but what of the state governments managed by the former opposition party and where was the source of the campaign money that brought the party into power? Remember, the president had said he borrowed the money for the nomination form.

What of the case of Saraki? No one hears about that these days, the issue has been swept under the carpet. The yam eaters of Dasuki’s yam are not only in the opposition party, they are also in the ruling party; would those in the ruling party be prosecuted? Why is the government not probing the regimes beyond the immediate past regime? Is there a deal? Is this government really ready to fight corruption?

Even if it is the witch hunting of the opposition, do you think it is better this way? Governments in power will not be corrupt because of the scare of the probe of the next government. Don’t you think it is better? Then, corruption will be wiped out and the country will be better. What do you think of this: sincere fight or witch hunt?

Foreign AffairsIs Ben Carson Fit To Win The Republican Party’s Presidential Ticket? by obrien29(op): 8:36am On Jan 09, 2016
Ben Carson is a successful American neurosurgeon. He is aged 64. He was born in Michigan, and he is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan. He has carried out important brain surgeries with different teams at John Hopkins Hospital, Maryland. He declared his interest for the seat of the president of the United States on 4th of May, 2015. He wants to run for the prized seat on the platform of the Republican Party.

Ben Carson is a popular and successful doctor. He is an ardent Christian. He was raised by his single mother. As a child, Carson’s family barely had enough to meet their needs. His inspiring and interesting memoirs cum motivational books have inspired and thrilled people of all cultures. His Gifted Hands is one of his numerous books where he relays the story of his trials, pains and his success. He is respected around the world and most of his views are palatable with the views of the masses. Ben Carson and his wife sponsors a scholarship for American students, they believe and work for the improvement of education in America. But how do you see him securing the presidential ticket of the Republican Party?

The opinion polls of the party have not showed that he is in a bad spot. People are conversant with his views about running the American government. But isn’t he too religiously inclined to rule America? Has American not outgrown this belief that God makes all things possible with faith? He can be pardoned, though, because, he attends the Seventh Day Adventist where the members still follow these archaic religious doctrines. He was once quoted making disparaging comments about same-sex marriage and relationship, for him, it is not real marriage. He has since withdrawn his comments.

He has condemned Obama’s health-care initiative, and he has also made several political and foreign policy blunders. Although there is no controversy around him, his religious stance and his ignorance of foreign and governmental policies put him behind other contestants for the ticket. However, some of his views appeal to the people who would likely vote for him.

Foreign AffairsCan Jeb Bush Win The Nomination For The Republican Party? by obrien29(op): 11:50am On Jan 01, 2016
Jeb Bush is an American businessman and a politician. He has served as the governor of Florida. He is the brother of the former president of US and also the son of the former president of US. He is aged 62. He is of the Bush family. He declared his interest for the seat of the president on June 15, 2015.
Jeb Bush seeks his election into the seat of the US President through the Republican Party. After acquisition of his college degree, he had worked in several organizations and he has even owned some business organizations himself. He has investment in different sectors of the economy. He is well-to-do, and he can confidently fund his presidential campaign.
He campaigned widely for his father when his father contested and won the seat of the US President. He served in some capacity during his father’s reign as the president. He had contested for the seat of the governor of Florida, but he had lost. He contested again and won it. He served two terms as the governor of Florida. He performed well in all sectors as the governor of Florida.
Presently, he wants to contest for the seat of the US President on the platform of the Republican Party. Is it feasible that he would win the primary ticket of the Republican Party? Well, it is feasible. With his experience with the party, and his father’s and brother’s stake in the party, he might likely be the winner of the party’s ticket for the presidency.
Jeb Bush’s experience and relation with the party, and coupled with his father’s and brother’s influence, he might win the ticket. And do not forget also that he has enough money to sponsor his campaign; he is not deterred and frightened by Trump’s stinking money. His popularity, his good administrative record, his wealth and the influence of the former two US Presidents will make him the likely Presidential Candidate for the Republican Party.

PoliticsWhy Do Nigerian Youths Support Corruption? by obrien29(op): 11:34am On Jan 01, 2016
There is no doubt that corruption is one of the problems haunting the Giant of Africa called Nigeria. And for those who might not understand what this corruption really is, we will have to explain the term. According to Word Web, “corruption is lack of integrity or honesty (especially susceptibility to bribery); use of a position of trust for dishonest gain”.
It is widely agreed that corruption subverts justice, hampers economic growth and as well as destroys trust. However, this evil called corruption has proven too strong for the Nigerian government and her people to conquer. It has refused to die and wither away. What is the cause of its stubbornness?
One of the causes of its refusal to die is that Nigerians support and even breed corruption. Notwithstanding that many a times, fingers are being pointed to the crop of people in power as the corrupt ones; many of the followers are also corrupt in their dealings and in their minds. Even the energetic youths who are the future leaders of this country, who should be the ones fighting this problem in order to pave way for their own better future fight tooth and nail to defend corrupt leaders.
It is only in Nigeria that people own thieves in the broad daylight. A youth with promising future will exert his energy defending a proven thief; after all, he is his person and so should not be prosecuted. Well, my own theory is that as far as the old men and women in power still steals our commonwealth and the youths defends them, corruption will never be conquered. That’s my take.

SportsJose Mourinho’s Exist From Chelsea: Betrayal Or Bad Mouth? by obrien29(op): 8:29am On Dec 27, 2015
Jose Mourinho recently left the club where he claimed he was the “special one”. For football lovers and the fans of the clubs that play in English Premier League, Jose Mourinho is a familiar name. This name belongs to a title winning Portuguese coach who has coached more than three clubs in different leagues. He has two champions league to his name. He has won the Spanish, English and Portuguese league cups. He has coached the best teams; from Porto to Chelsea to Inter Milan to Real Madrid and so on.
He is a good coach who knows his worth and his goals. However, in the recent times, misfortunes have befallen him. Misfortunes seemed to be caused by human errors instead of divine errors--one might say divine errors. He had quit Real Madrid because he had problem with the players and the management. Towards the end of his stay in Real Madrid, the club performed badly and they did not carry any title. Now, he quit Chelsea, or perhaps, they kicked him out because he almost took them into the relegation zone.
His recent woes in Chelsea began at the onset of the season when Chelsea began to loose and draw matches like the players had all lost their strength. Then, there was a problem about the doctor. Mourinho as usual had tongue-lashed her as he always does, decorating it with insult and with a rub of pride. After then, the players have played like chickens. Mourinho blames them often for the club’s woes, but no one knows who is responsible.
Finally, Chelsea had to save itself from its collapse; Mourinho had to be shown the door. What do you think? Do you think Mourinho is the cause of his own problem because of the explosives that often fall off from his mouth or do you think he was betrayed?

Foreign AffairsIs There Possibility Of Donald Trump Clinching The Post Of The US President? by obrien29(op): 8:04am On Dec 27, 2015
Donald Trump, an American business magnate announced his candidacy for the president United States of America in the 2016 elections on June, 2015. Prior to this time, there had been speculations that he might run for the seat of the president of the US.
Donald Trump is an American businessman aged 69. He is a wealthy and popular businessman, a TV personality and a politician. He is descended from a German immigrant, and has Scottish ancestry from the maternal side. He was born in New York. He was brought up in a wealthy home, and he even has a degree in Economics. He has investments in different sectors; a large chunk of his investments are in real estate. He is into entertainment, sports and a whole lot of other businesses.
Donald Trump has not really had it the easy way all the time; he has faced some challenges like every other human. There was a time in the 1980s and 1990s that he went bankrupt and had to sell some investments and properties. Nevertheless, he bounced back from his challenges and today, his net worth is more than 3 billion dollars.
Prior to the time he declared interest to run for the seat of the president, there had been speculations that Donald Trump would contest for the seat of the president. A poll had been conducted; Donald Trump was voted as one of the ten people Americans adore. Donald Trump’s popularity is an undeniable fact. However, since he declared his interest for the prized seat, he had come under criticism from all corners because of his stance on some delicate issues. These issues are about American’s immigration and foreign policy, people’s culture and religion. He had suggested that Muslims should be banned from entering the US, and he had made a suggestion about stricter measure being adopted to fight illegal immigration. Although his opinion has not made him lose out of the race for the presidential ticket of the Republican Party, all the same, the general opinion of his candidature is moving on to the bad side. His business associates and friends have criticized him, and some have even cut the link they had with him.
Even if the Republicans choose him over the other candidates in race for the presidential ticket, what will be his chance to win the US Presidential election? And what do most people think of him?
He might not likely win this race because the public opinion about his candidature is mostly negative. Though, the working class Americans and a bigger percentage of Republicans seem to be of the same view with him, most Americans and even non-Americans do not respect his views on these issues. He has often taken controversial stance on these issues which is somewhat not good for someone running for the world most powerful job.
He is rich and popular, but his unguarded statements will certainly ruin his bid, damage his reputation and make him waste his campaign money. His perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit is good for the country; it will move the country to another height. Nevertheless, a bad foreign policy of a nation can ruin a nation, because no nation can survive alone. This might impede the future growth of the great America. Vote Wisely!

Citrus is a genus comprising some 16 species of trees. The more known species are Lime, Lemon, Grape and Tangerine. Lemon has many medicinal properties. The leaf is rich in aromatic essence: limonene and linadol. The rind contains 0.5% essential oil, which comprises limonene, coumarines and flavonoids. The juice contains Vitamin B1, B2 and C, flavonoids and organic acids.
A lot of research has been done on this plant. Its medicinal properties are scientifically proven and recognized. The parts of this lemon tree have their different curative functions which we discussed below:
The Lemon Leaves:
Lemon leaves are sedative and antispasmodic. Those who suffer from insomnia, nervousness and palpitation should soak five to seven leaves in a teacup of hot water and allow it to infuse for 15 minutes. The dosage is one cup twice daily.
The Fruit Rind:
Lemon rind is good remedy for lack of appetite, indigestion, constipation and typhoid fever and it is a good worm expellant. Add the rind of 10 lemons to four liters of water and bring to boil. Take a cup thrice daily.
The Juice:
Lemon Juice is an excellent remedy for scurvy, a disease caused by lack of Vitamin C. Drink half a glass of lemon juice twice daily. You may sweeten it with honey if you wish. For indigestion, mix half a glass of lemon juice with half a glass of water and drink daily. This stimulates the activities of the digestive organs and strengthens the system.

BusinessHow To Establish A Snail Farm by obrien29(op): 4:43pm On Dec 06, 2015
If you are thinking that you would like your own free range snail farm in the back yard here are a few tips to get you on your way.
In Nigeria, few people have the knowledge of the benefits of snail farming. Nigeria has the biggest of all world snails and these snails serve as special delicacies in the meal of Nigerians of different ethnic group. This makes snail farming lucrative. If one wants to be a successful snail farmer and make good profits from it, these steps below can help the individual.
1) Snails adapt well to cool and warm climates with temperature ranges from 10°C to a maximum of 30°C
2) It is important to have a farming area that is as large as possible and to limit snail numbers accordingly to discourage overcrowding.
3) A large, free range farming area results in higher production rates, lower mortality, a more ethical and less stressful environment resulting in a better quality of snails
4) Once you have constructed a galvanized corrugated iron perimeter fence it is important to install 5) mesh holding pens made from open weave shade cloth. Robyn recommends a double layered cloth (or flaps) to prevent the snails escaping

5) A true organic free range snail farm should only use natural fertilizers.
6) A good irrigation system is crucial for maintaining a healthy food source and ensures the snails are kept active for eating, breeding and growing
7) Snails need a diet rich in protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Robyn’s snails especially like to forage on brassicas, kale and canola but they also enjoy wild turnip, hybrid turnip, dandelion clover and silver beet amongst others.

cool It’s crucial to “purge” the snails before consumption. This involves feeding them a combination of organic unprocessed bran and/or wheat germ for 2 days in a controlled environment
9) After purging for 7 days the snail’s digestive systems are clear of dirt and grit and they are ready to be consumed.
