There's nothing either bank can and will do. Unless you have a way of tracking down the owner of the account he asked you to pay that money into, and yiu get the person picked up, and they in turn give him up, you cannot retrieve your money. He uses random accounts to collect tranfers. I am very sure he asks his innocent friends or people around to give him their account numbers to receive money. Tells them a bogus tale about issies with his bank and promises to give them something for the stress. This way he will never use his own account, so you never get to find his real name.

I was searching for livestocks to buy online, so I saw an advertisement on 'Olist' of a farm(ADEBEST FARM located at Ijebu North, Ogun state.) with a phone number(+234 813 893 0631) to call which I did immediately and we started talking. In the course of discussing business he asked me to make a payment so that the livestocks would be delivered to me the next day. Out of desperation (which I regret) i made a transfer of 25k which is the full payment to the account number he sent
(GARUBA JATO
8109910489 Eco bank). Since I made that transfer, he has insisted he won't send the livestock because he had not received my transfer even after sending my proof of payment.
I contacted my bank for assistance and the informed me that the transfer I initiated was completed and my bank also sent the transaction ID:000016210702133605000019149519) for him to forward to his bank in case his claim was true. It's more than four days today and he has since refused to act or show commitment to my plight.
As I speak, he is ignoring my calls and chat.
Please able nairalanders how do i recover my money?
Your suggestions and assistance would be appreciated.

Business is booming for this scammer. I have called him out many times here on nairaland pet section. No wonder he still keeps scamming because people are still falling for it.

I've followed Paulimation for some time now.
Phew. I can relate to this free training thing. I ended up being the only person left in most classes in my numerous attempts to teach people how to create 3D animation videos free. I met quite a lot of people on nairaland in the process. Out of frustration I decided no matter how little, people must pay for trainings. I conducted one paid training last year for the first time. Got about 4 students. They all absconded after the first few classes (online). I started chasing after people to come and learn despite the fact that they paid. I decided afterwards that never will I train again if I'm not getting paid in full. And training doesn't even pay as much. You ask people to pay 100k, they think it's big money.

And something I realise is, a lot of people are not paying attention. Covid brought a surge in demand for digital skill. For the next couple of years, digital skill will keep selling (not necessarily in Nigeria) because people now realise that they can get services done online easily.

Now, you guys must understand that I am writing this in my capacity as a lawyer. We don't show feelings in things like this. First, the law does not permit you to kill another. But if enough excuse exists to justify the killing, then you will not be sentenced TO DEATH for murder, but you may go to jail for a few years for manslaughter.

In this case, Chidimma has two main defences that she can explore. I don't want to go into the two of them. I want to talk about the defense of SELF-DEFENSE. Yes, self defense can avail her at the trial.

These are my reasons.

The man in question is a 50yr old man while Chidimma is only a tender girl of 21yrs. By merely looking at her, you can recognize that she will be easy to subdue. It is a natural fact that the strength of a man cannot in any way, be compared to that of a woman.

So, after he had "had his way" with her for the first time, which she said she didn't like and because of that "she stayed on her own", this man later on came for a second bite. So much like when King Agrippa killed James and saw that the Jews didn't do anything, he wanted to kill Peter too.

She clearly told him that she wasn't happy with the first one. She also told him that he had only been using her without helping her. At that point, you can agree with me that she was feeling used, raped and abused. She was feeling cheated on the relationship. And she wanted to stop it, so as to balance the equation.

On his second sex attempt, she told him no. But he wouldn't take a no for an answer. Then, he bacame violent. Mark the phrase; he became violent.

But then, we must recall that this man did the first sex violently. The girl said that she wanted to resist him in the first one but he insisted "and had his way". And this is the same formula he wanted to use in this second rape seeing that he got away with the first.

Now, rape is defined in the criminal code as sex without the consent of the girl. Listen o, it doesn't matter if the person is your boyfriend. The only exception is for married couples. But as long as you aren't married, it is called RAPE.

Back to the issue.

This man became violent AGAIN. He probably reasoned within him that since she yielded the first time after he "used violence", that the same formula will apply again. One would even ask; since she is your girlfriend, and you guys rented an apartment just to have exclusive time, why then do you have to use violence to have sex with her?

So, this 50yr old man then chased her. She ran to the kitchen. The man kept the pursuit. In the kitchen, he grabbed her. But before doing that, the man had locked the door and hid the key.

What does that tell you?

So, he grabbed her by the throat. This did not happen in the bedroom, but in the kitchen. It shows that the girl ran to the kitchen "for safety". But since he had already locked the doors, she had nowhere else to go.

He then grabbed her by the throat with his 50yr old grizzly muscles. She was screaming for rescue but none came. He pinned her against the wall. She was helpless. Can you picture this scenario in your mind?

A 50yr old man grabbing and pinning this tender looking 21yr old girl, against the wall, in an attempt to RAPE her, not to bless her. I can guess that he was trying to untie his trousers at this time, with one hand.

So, seeing that she was about to be raped again and there is no help in sight, she stretched her hands and it caught a knife. She then stabbed him in the neck.

Now, stabbing someone in the stomach and stabbing someone in the neck region does not mean the same thing. When you stab in the stomach, it showed that your hands had all the flexibility and options to choose where to stab. But when you stab at the neck, it paints the picture of someone that has been denied flexibility and freedom. It means that the man may have suspended her in the air by her armpit and she couldn't bring down her hands freely.

This shows that this girl was chocked or pinned against the wall by this voracious rapist who wouldn't take a no for an answer.

And after she stabbed him, that was when he released her. And immediately, he went for the knife, to counter attack. The girl was Wis to have reached for it and stab him again, possibly thinking the initial stab didn't harm him enough to prevent another chase from him.

Remember, the house has been locked and there was no where of escape. In my mind, she did the right thing by stabbing him again because I am sure he would have chopped her into pieces like onions had he laid hands on her.

Now, the only place I have deep trouble is the fact that this girl still had the tranquility to go to his ATM and withdraw 380k AFTER this miracle. But then, what we are concerned with is what happened at the scene of crime, not after.

You don't get sentenced to death and killed the next day. She has appealed and the court has repelled her appeal and sustained her sentence. So, she's waiting her date with the reaper. Nothing can be done about that. She's just waiting to die. That's part of the punishment.

A grown 50 year old man drinking alcohol and smoking drugs with a 21 year own girl subsequently tries to force her to have sex with him. When she refuses he becomes violent and to protect herself, she stabs him in the neck twice. He had earlier offered her some money and so she withdrew money from his account after the killing had taken place.This is a possibility. The other possibility is that she was used as bait to setup the man for an assassination through a proxy relationship.

All she needs is a very good lawyer. In the UK for example her legal defence will have a field day with the prosecution. They will say he tried to rape her, she has evidence of injury on her hands - they will also destroy the mans character as a philandering married man who took advantage of a young girl to satisfy his lust.. The prosecution will have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that she willingly killed him. It will be hard, especially because there are no witnesses.

At the very worst she will be convicted of manslaughter , she may even be freed for lack of evidence as has been happened in dozens of recent cases. But Nigerian is a Jungle where you are judged before a trial and found guilty before judgement. Once you are a big man you can lock anybody up for as long as you want.

This girls needs a very good lawyer. Hire me.

Firstly, the meeting was planned. She had to lie to her parents she was going for an ushering job so she could go to the rendevous point. If it was an honest and not shady business, why lie to your parents.

She went on to book the apartment and signed all documents needed to do that. Even showed intentions of her evil plans to come by the singular action of booking with a number that wasn't her. A randomly generated number. Still not unaware what the plan was?

Let's assume she has the same level of wisdom you have and she thought it was an ushering job. Right even up to the time they started doing drugs alone in the room? One young girl and one older man. Was she ushering him into drugs?

Not to write too much. As long as a motive, an intent can be established, she will be nailed. And how did she crucify herself? By making those withdrawals right after innocently killing a man by stabbing him severally.

An innocent, sweet soul who has just come out of a supposed traumatic event where a man tried to rape her and she had to kill him to escape, won't be thinking of money. She'll be in a world of pain, fear and confusion. Not in a place where she was so clear headed and focused to do withdrawals and move on like nothing happened. She killed him, withdrew his money, went home and of course told her parents the ushering job was done and dusted ( indeed it was. She ushered him into the great beyond ). She didn't report that she was almost raped, nor did she confide in her parents that she killed someone. No. She remained calm and was living like nothing happened befote they picked her up Wednesday night.

This girl right there had this all planned out. To go in there, get this man as relaxed as possible, give him a good time and then kill him for his money.

The actions aren't the actions any young girl of 21 who has just nearly been raped will undetake.

It could take some time (or maybe not) as the wheels of justice turn slow, but she will not get manslaughter. She will get murder.
