Truth is whether the rich steal money or not, they must spend it, contracts must be awarded and the money will eventually trickle down to the common man and market woman. You and I know that most wealthy Nigerian's don't spend money in Nigeria. Eudcation: abroad, most buy cars shipped from abroad, clothes abroad, bank account abroad, even lace for party abroad, at what point does it trickle down? The ones that may get a share of the wealth are those in the restaurant industry. When was the last time you went to Nigeria, if you don't mind me asking ? |
OBVIOUS: |
What was preached during the American election is nothing but rhetoric. To hold that as fact will be very disturbing. Economics is much more complicated that the "trickle down effect" preached during the election which was said to make thing SIMPLE to the common man who has no understanding of such, |
Horus:Good point made Horus and Gamine. Actually, if you're poor in Nigeria, rather than blame be on the corrupt politicans and co who exploit the innocent masses, it is believed that the witches and wizards are after you, or that you're not praying hard enough. In fact, some pastors recommend that you should fast until you reach the point of death. If you complete all these instructions and still you are still poor. The evil powers are strong, and its either u're committing or have commited a sin, your family members are after you, or that u're just not "holy" enough, and the bogus continues until you get money some way (legal or thru illegal means) and then give a testimony/ then continue the cycle, pay your tithes or else, god may not bless you again. |
This is bogus news!!!! Doesn't make sense to any good economist. How can oil affect Nigeria's economy when most of the profits earned, only goes to the pockets of specific individuals who move the money overseas!!! Such resources have never really affected Nigeria's economy. STOP WESTERN UNIONs/ MONEY GRAMS and see what will happen to the economy ? (psseeew) |
If you want to be one step closer to being a millionaire in Nigeria, START A CHURCH!!!!! |
Saying thank you to an Okada man is one thing but pouring praises on the Okada man for taking you from point A to point B, even with the fact that you had to pay, sort of does make you seem like one.Right on!!!! |
YEEPA!! Why do you guys like to yab each other like this ? |
I disagree. . . . . .I'm didn't write what I did to argue, or examine whether or not you agree with me. But i'm quite certain that there are (White/Asian) (White/Hispanic), one doesn't always have to be labelled black. In fact, there are a few light skinned Blacks that can pass for white, |
come so y'all are still digging this thread?well, nothing else to talk about. |
I have never and will never be with anyone other than my own race. I know what it is like to be a bi-racial child and would not wish that on any child. Black men do it for me and only black men do it for me.I see what she means. Its tough being a bi-racial child. The only best part could that u're lighter than everybody else. But other children tend to make FUN of bi-racial children. So it can be hard while growing up, being that people often get confused as to where they really belong (racially of course) |
Of the 70% still not married I would venture to say that 50% of those women are un-marriable types anyway.I was just going to stay that. Who deciedes who is marriagealbe or unmarriable as you put it. |
Kobo makes a good point. |
We all know that most politicians we hire anyways, don't do much expect STEAL FROM US. |
Based on Nigerian standards (which is pretty low), Fashola has done well thus far. He could do more but I wouldn't label him "messiah" or anything like that. He is doing what he was hired to do anyways and soo far soo good. |
I think that its pathetic that Banks respect foreign degrees, than Nigerian uni degrees. If I take fake foreign degree to a bank, i'd be more likely to be hired than someone who has a real degree from a Nigerian uni. Plus I should also add, that it also questions the entire Nigerian educational system whereby people pass through bribery and corruption. I should also state that I recently tutored this babe from London. Her english grammar was GBOSA, slang was reflected all over her academic paper, it was soo sad that I had to tell her parents and couldn't stop laughing. Only god knows what they're teaching them over there in London. I thot they spoke "queens English" |
Plus, I don't believe this statistic. It doesn't sound true. Although there are not enough men to go around, I don't believe 70% of black women are single. Black women in America? does this include Black Africans or only African Americans? Black women in the world? doesn't make sense to me. |
Let me slap him (poosa, poosa) sillyboy!! ![]() |
Not turning this into a black and white issue but I once heard a white man say that "no one talks about the white woman's attitude." He only dates black women. |
Yes I think that beauty can become a curse when it comes to dating et. al. (and not when you need a job or a favor) people like being around goodlooking people. Beautiful people (both men and women) are more likely to be hired than ugly looking people even though, the ugly looking person might be smarter. But when it comes to dating, beautiful girls get lots of attention from men, and other women often times can be jealous of this. The problem lies when beautiful girls disillusion themselves to think that EVERY MAN on this planet is interested in them. Therefore, they tend to put up a front when not necessary and people see this as "attitude" I think that phyisical/external beauty is also not inner beauty. |
It means foreigners go in and loot the country. Thats thier code word for "go in, take as much as you can, exploit, and leave, " uuumm, i meant "Invest" |
at least, pastor is not the one paying your school fees na ? |
abiii oh!!! |
If these children are really witches and wizards, they should have magically disappeared during such inhumane torture or better yet use their powers to kill the person torturing them. ![]() uneducated Nigerians and their rubbish!!! |
I call this slave labor because he seems to be telling them that they're doing it for god even though its against thier will. Funny story sha!!! Whatever you do, do willingly. |
Your pastor has brainwashed all of you. Doing something against your will, is not working/serving god. Why don't you tell the foolsih man to hire somebody ? Plus its not by force to do any of the chores on his to do list, so just tell him that you cant/. |
Of course Nigeria's economy is the safest. Foreigners enjoy Nigeria's money more than Nigerians themselves do. |
ziddy:True talk. If its not the white man, its the asians, L O L |
Nigerians and thier rubbish!!!! Although i'm no fan of Obasanjo, some yeye security guard should never put his hand on a woman, talkless of pushing her close to her breasts.!! It must have been more than extremely embarassing for Iyabo. ![]() |
She might want to start by returning all the stolen money she's spent with her husband. She's doing all she can to sell a book. yeye woman!!! |
