Uneducation is different from ignorace as michelin89 puts it. There are many educated people that are very ignorant and unnecessarily proud. Uneducation may only affect income. However, there's also a yardstick for the level of education. Men like Bill gates, and co don't have college degrees but are more educated and make more money than some with Ph.ds |
She's still young na. When desperation sets in, she won't remember the man that asks her for N100,000, money is definately not everything, so you just have to choose wisely. |
michelin89:You dis babe, you no go kill me with lafter, hehehehe |
Truth remains ajepako and ajebutter can't mix. Just date someone on the same level as you. No wahala jare. This is not a big deal. Kids with parents on the economi level that you are describing normally "hook" thier children up with other families from the same levels so rubbish like this dont' happen. |
girl call rings you pick up and say "hello, hello," girl says : "hi boo, its me" you say: "hellooo, hello, Sorry, I can't hear you!! I have bad connection!!" say this as many times as possible To girlfriend on the bed say: "my dear, I'm sorry, I no fit hear weting this boy dey talk" back to the caller "hello" "hey, my phone batteries are almost dead" girl on the phone says: "honey, I just called to say i love you" "huh" "heello" "look I'll call you back later and hang up" |
LMAO at tonye-t's response, L O L. ![]() |
You have defiinately missed the point of my posting. |
Landis raises good points. I suggest more training for the bank executives. |
I like Richyblack's list. I would add "Gani" Oyesola Fawehinmi, Awolowo, and Abiola. I would also add Fela Kuti's mother. |
I don't blame them. They have families to feed. From top to bottom, almost every living/moving thing in Nigeria is corrupt: schools, unis, churches, and even new born babies. |
naijaking1:Well I sorta agree. The Hausa/Fulani people are doing the same to thier own people as well. In the North there is hardly any middle class. In fact, the North section of Nigeria, contains th most uneducated people. In the North, you are either extremely rich or poor. No in betweens, at least in the South and East, there are some middle class folks. I understand why people leave Nigeria to other countries. Peace of mind, and many other factors. I just don't understand how foreigners enjoy Nigeria more than Nigerians themselves. This still baffles me. The lebanese, the arabs, the chinese, and all those people making many deals and contracts, millions of dollars, from the same Nigeria we are all running away from. |
Sky Blue:Yes it makes me wonder why any Nigerian would want to go to Italy in the first place if the only job most can do there is ashewo work. |
Does one really have to make the list of what Italy with is minute resources has that Nigeria doesn't?Italy houses a lot of Nigerian prostitutes. |
The reason why human beings masturbate and fornicate is because they're humans and have biological needs. |
I can't believe any Nigeria is seeking refuge in Italy/Spain, L O L what a big joke. |
With a country soo full of resources, I wonder where they're all running too. White man will be enjoying our land, us, we will be running away from that same land. Oma she oo!!! |
How can you not know that the man was married. Didn't he have his wedding ring on ? Doesn't he hide in the bathroom to pick up his phone calls? I think that he was nice to you, and then you turned the whole thing into something else. That aside sha, there's something quite bogus about this story. |
LMAO Fantastic she can fly into the nearest bank and collect all the money!Abiiii ooooh!!!! ![]() If she can't collect the money then there is not full proof that she is a WINCH!!!! |
How can the most uneducated part of Nigeria rule the most populous country in the continent. Not that i'm shocked but without help from other tribes, such idea is a fallacy. |
We need to CREATE Nigeria/Africa for Africans.I agree!!!! |
If death penalty exisited in Nigeria, Nigerians would abuse this authority. Meaning that all the wrong people would be killed and all the evil/corrupt people would still be alive bribing people all over the place to stay alive. what happened to the thieveing obasanjo family ? abacha ? babangida ? bode thomas? and all those who the EFCC could not establish a case on. |
L O L. Nigeria Leaders are a big joke. |
lucabrasi:If a Nigerian deciedes to work for a foreign owned company in his own land, then that Nigerian should tolerate what he/she gets at work. Many educated Nigerians who leave thier country to work in a foreign lands also face such difficulties (e.g. working long hours, being paid minimum wage, or doing extremely uncomfortable work) Its what comes with the territory if you make such decision. do the foreign companies treat their foreign workers like that?Of course foreign companies can't treat foreign workers like that because that foreign worker can always go back to thier country of origin/leave the job. (I mean, An educated American citizen in Nigeria, can deciede to leave Nigeria, come back to America to work and get peace of mind and probably more money) I mean foreign workers have a choice, Nigerian workers don't. So for a Nigerian worker that decides to work for a foreign company must either be smart and use his/her connections wisely or should stop working for that company. |
Well, Nigerians always thinking that everything made out of Nigeria is better than made in Nigeria, make something in oshodi and post made in USA and see how you will sell, even if na pure water.I think thats the stereotype that Nigerians have about Nigerian owned companies, which is bad. Businessmen/companies like Eleganza and those in the ranks PAY THIER EMPLOYEES and they PAY THEM WELL.!!! I don't want to mention anymore specific Nigerian owned companies but there are some they do thier due dilengence and not only pay salaries but reward hard work. |
Yes, Nigeria's name should be changed. I think that such change will be symbolic. |
I should also state that I notice that Nigerians would rather work for white-owned companies than Nigerian owned companies. I remember, a family friend who got hired to work for Eleganza said he wouldn't work there because Eleganza's money came from "demon-possesed pot." Such rubbish!!! |
I wouldn't call it slavery. maybe exploitation. Nigerian leaders WILLINGLY sold companies to white-owned companies. But this issue, is not about race but we all know that every corporations/companies/businesses are all about making excessive profit at all cost. Even at the expense of workers. Expecially when it comes to workers who live in a society where rules and regulations don't exist or rather, can be changed through bribery. |
Religion is among the factors that continue to divide the citizens of Nigeria, although not the only factor, it is an effective tool of oppression. However, in my examination of things in Nigeria, Religion is a curse for Nigeria and a huge source of pessimissm and complacency. |
dayokanu:Abiii oooh. He's only complaining because they embarassed him today. I highly suggest that he fasts and prays for Nigeria. |
I nominate myself as a moderator. |
I agree with skfa1. Every country is corrupt. In fact, the western world is the worst when it comes to corruption and exploitation. The difference is that Nigerians do things at the expense of its citizens and noble people. The western world on the other hand, does things to benefits thier citizens and noble people therefore, its look at and examined differently though its the same crime. |
if the head is not good, how can the bottom be good? combating fraud strts with combating corrupt govt officialsgood point. But how about the positive publicity that Nigerians are among the most educated in the world. ![]() |
