Emergingnation: PHOTOS: Expensive cars, classy outfits… behold the IG page of DCP Kyari’s brother
Usman Kyari, brother to Abba Kyari, the embattled deputy commissioner of police (DCP), has started to garner the attention of the public for his sleek personality on Instagram.
The spotlight has beamed on Usman’s brother, a top detective, after Hushpuppi, whose real name is Ramon Abbas, alleged that he bribed him to arrest a co-fraudster.
Before his recent ordeals, Kyari is renowned for maintaining an active social media presence, particularly on Instagram.
If he is not sharing photos of his heroics on the field as a crack investigator, it will be that of himself posing with family members, top political figures, and celebrities.
Like the DCP, Usman’s Instagram page also reflects his love for the good life.
From a fleet of cars to photos of himself clad in nicely-fitted attires, his page which has nearly 2,000 followers is the go-to place for many lovers of fashion.
In one of the photos, he can be seen sitting with Usman Alkali Baba, the inspector-general of police (IGP), while congratulating him on his appointment.
On Tuesday, Usman had shared a photo of himself and DCP Kyari posing for the camera while wearing an all-blue attire.
Usman also took to his Instastories on Friday to defend his brother over the bribery allegations against him, citing the position of Femi Fani-Kayode, ex-minister of aviation.
The crack investigator had earlier denied Hushpuppi’s claim, stating that he did not receive any money as alleged.
But a report by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had revealed that Kyari had a good relationship with Hushpuppi.
The investigation also revealed that the DCP allegedly received money for his team from Hushpuppi to arrest a rival co-fraudster.
Amid the ongoing saga, the IGP had ordered an internal probe of the allegations against Kyari.

Ok what offence will they charge him with?! On what grounds would they extradite him
*No money was paid to his BVN Linked account
* Vincent that was arrested is a fruadster and he was released when no evidence of threat , or conspiracy to murder hushpuppy was found
* The tailor whose Account recieved payment is still alive and in the country
. This is why I suggest he go to the FBI and clarify himself. He has the full backing of the FG. |

seunmsg: Those that fought online against the extradition of Onyema back then are at the forefront of those calling for the immediate extradition of Abba Kyari. At the end of the day, it all boils down to crucifying rogues from other tribes and supporting rogues from ones tribe.
Whatever the case, he should be immediately suspended from the police force pending when he can clear himself. That's what Nigeria has been. If I asked you to mention the names of 3 most notorious criminals or kidnappers in Nigeria, all the names would be southerners. But go back and check, the highest kidnapping incidents have taken place in the North. I am sure you do not know the names of the ring leaders of the gangs responsible for kidnapping hundreds of students and villagers in Kaduna, Katsina and Adamawa. Do you know the people Nigeria government claimed to have been arrested for laundering money for BHT? So Nigeria justice system is skewed. |

FBI just placed an order for Native wears, and they want Abba Kyari to deliver it.
ABBA should just visit FBI and clear his name. |

Monogamy: Kyari would see this through, that na sure banker..
We have so many ingrates and hypocrites in this country I swear.
The ingrates part, in the whole Nigeria, I have not come across any superb police man with highest record of success in operation like Kyari. Most of the places that are being troubled by miscreants, it is this same super Cop Kyari that brought peace back irrespective of region.. Directly or indirectly, average Nigerians are feeling his work as a police officer
The Hypocrisy part: Custom officer, Immigration officer, Judges are some of the jobs which bribe taking and giving are becoming norm not just in Nigeria but globally. Even though the Nigeria constitution says Bail is free, is bail indeed free? Hardly you pass through custom or immigration without paying bribe .
Now, Hushpuppy needed the service of Kyari to help him arrest someone who took his money somehow somehow, may be there are occasions but in all the deal, Hush paid the total sum of N8m which is equivalent to $20k in all the accounts Kyari provided. Aiding or abetting, that's the money declared in the document released that Kyari take. And the deal in total is $1.1m
Though as a police officer, Kyari's act is against Police law but would someone approach a policeman to help him arrest someone without paying? Let's be logical.
If Kyari indeed collected $20k out of the $1.1m deal, let him refund the money back and face the Nigeria Police disciplinary committee.
I am still wondering how Kyari would be person of interest to FBI in this case, cos it's obvious there are more names mentioned in the documents that we are yet to see. $20k out of $1.1m deal?
May be some weeks or months suspension, but talking about repatriation, FBI is one of the biggest nonsense I have read/heard long time.
In whatever offense, there are exceptions, the criminal elements who have been championing the campaign of calumny against Kyari just because he has been there nightmare would all be put to shame as usual and their night mares has just begun
I stand gidigba with Super Cop Abba Kyari Please reread what you wrote. Incoherent ramblings. You argued for and against him. |

Mysticwebb: Onyema is not a policeman neither is he saddled with the job of fighting crime nor protecting the law against violators. So defending Onyema does not justify defending an officer of the law who has been found wanting. Don't mind them. Onyema has not even been a councillor in Nigeria let alone a DCP? BMC guys are grossly corrupt. |

EndSARS77: If you live in some parts of benin city, then you ought to have witnessed what happened today July 27. I received a phonecall from a family member around 5pm, that I should be home before 6:30pm, that he heard something bad was going to happen today in benin city. I was hungry and wanted to buy food at a restaurant nearby. I had not gotten anywhere when I overheard a passerby sitting on the bare floor to narrate to his guy, how they pursued him this evening because they wanted to use him. Are these people traditionalists who are ritualists or are they actually Fulani herdsmen, boko haram or other insurgents pretending to be traditionalists? Afterall they have already invaded other parts of Edo State in time past, such as Ekpoma. I had to reverse back home and go to bed like that, as 7pm was made to seem like 12 midnight. Moreover all the stores were locked Did anything happen? |

1. The stats is to show you the effect of Twitter ban on Twitter traffic in Nigeria
2. There is what is called negotiation, each party come to the table and Nigeria will list their list of what they want, if Twitter doesn't like it, they can go their own way, the reality is that Twitter isnt interested in the Nigerian market because it is not lucrative, if they were interested, they would done a deal.
3. another instance is that we dont know if the Nigeria government are meeting with Twitter or not.
4. I dont give a damn, for all i am concerned, Twitter should be banned forever.
5. This is my last reply...no time to argue aimlessly You cannot get a reliable data on Twitter traffic in Nigeria when people are assessing it through VPN. |
Romance › Re: Did She Cheat?? by obyrich(m): 2:13pm On Jul 25, 2021 |
Pelaguis: Hi guys, I'm in dire need of advise....I've been in a relationship with a very beautiful lady for the last 8 years. We started dating since we were in high-school and we are finalising plans to spend the rest of our life's together. She's currently serving and we plan on getting hitched after her service year. I recently found out that she's been in a situation-ship with a married man. I had my suspicions few months ago. When I tried reaching her around 8pm (she's usually always reachable) and she didn't pick the call, the phone was later switched off ...I called her room mate and was told she's not at home. She later explained that she went to the cinema with her female friends. She's a bit of a photo freak and does not miss the opportunity to take a good picture...so it was surprisingly convenient when I asked to see pictures and was told there was none. Fast forward to a few days ago
I needed her email details to update an account, I was still logged in when an alert of 40k came in.....we are extremely close hence I'm very familiar with people that could send her money. The name attached with the transfer was non I was familiar with. I confronted her and she came clean, that it was from a married colleague of hers, that he's sent her money twice. She claims there's nothing attached to it, he comes to her apartment once in a while, parks outside and they sit in the car and talk for 30mins to an hour they text almost everyday for long hours (4-5) and he's sent her one or two gifts. She swears they've never been intimate and that they've just gone out once the day she claimed to be at the movies with her friends.
I think they've never been intimate, and I'm tempted to forget about the whole thing but she broke my trust and lied to my face multiple times when I confronted her about things I'd noticed, she insisted I was acting out of proportion for being suspicious and assured me nothing was going on, when you've been with someone for so long you know the person almost completely...so I could tell something was off. The thing is she's adamant that all she did wrong was lie about going to dinner with him, she's making feel crazy for thinking she emotionally cheated on me, she feels collecting cash and spending so much time texting and chilling with a married man in the car is not an issue, especially when he's asked her out and is clearly interested in shifting her pants. Am I wrong to feel cheated on, should I continue with someone that thinks this way, is this a red flag?? You think they've never been intimate? Lol. Bros don't set yourself up o. That baba don shift her pants. Besides go and do an STD check, for your own safety. |
