jaephoenix: What exactly did your god provide, for me to thank him? Life, health, Energy, Brain, sun, rain, magnetic protection from rays, jupiter for asteroid protection etc... However, the thanking is still not necessary. It does not benefit God in anyway it only gives you peace of mind to be thankful both for your fellow humans and your God. Remember, you didn't ask to be created. God is not interested in what you can offer. He made you for his own purpose, just cooperate or perish. |

Na mumu like you dey see truth still decided to rot in lies. China is just a reference. You don't have to be sentimental about your judgment. We know there are things China does better than the US. A country like US shouldn't be allowing fire to escalate every year exactly the same period. May be you have issues with China sha. Should we now mention Japan or Russia? |

Thunderfayamods: You are trolling another country yet you said that you live in the zoo! It doesn't belong to you to say shit about America, America is not heaven or a perfect country. Face your zoo that cannot provide ordinary good roads for you! LOL, you know people like us don't like pampering the Truth and the consequences is that it bite so hard. Everyone knows that the zoo republic is a hell hole no doubt. However, I am trying to evaluate the heaven with facts and figures. I don't think I have committed any sin. If this fire escalates again next year... Then I will conclude that country is over rated. They just have good marketers may be. |

goslowgoslow: I will not go further with you as to the causes of the fire you can go with your narratives. What I don't understand is why you are so emotional about the issue or America after all you said that you don't live here. Why are you so emotional about something that have no effect on you or is your family member among the victims. I live here and my older brother's house was affected, right now his families are with me in Houston yet I am not this emotional. Bro despite the fact that I can draw a good point from what you said America is not a perfect society contrary to what you people think, not even China that you mentioned. Well, I don't understand your argument again because, I am not interested in the cause of fire. Yes I thought America is great but facing the same problem every year and leaving it to escalate every year looks to me like the Nigerian factor. |

Merry100: 2024 seemed to be a very difficult year for many, I am not excluded; it was the kind of year that one might wish they had spent in a coma, only to wake up and find it was another year.
One of my friends experienced a significant business setback, and I, along with others, tried to console her. When she finally regained her composure, she started claiming that there was no God.
Even though I was also having a bad time, her claim didn't sit well with me. There was even one particular client who was frustrating the hell out of me at the time, to the extent that I had to refund his money and tell him that I was no longer interested in doing business with him.
One day, I approached my friend and told her that I wanted to speak with her. She replied that if I was there to give her a sermon, she wouldn't listen. I proceeded to tell her that I was also frustrated and angry with God.
I narrated my bad experiences to her, but I told her that I don't think they are enough reason for me to say there is no God. I mentioned that I still remember those times I prayed and received instant miracles. There was a particular miracle that happened to me in 2022; I had shared it with her before, but I recounted it again during this conversation and also reminded her of a specific miracle she had shared with me.
I included that there are times when we ask our parents for things, and they give them to us instantly without stressing us. However, during those times when we ask and they refuse to give, we might show our frustrations or try to avoid speaking with them or seeing them, but we don't start denying that they are our parents or go to court to sever ties with them.
When I discovered she was reasoning with me, I proceeded to tell her that it was okay to be upset and frustrated, and that she could even vent her anger by misbehaving, acting like a prodigal child, and doing all sorts of things until she felt satisfied. But she should not claim there is no God when it is obvious to her that there is God. This is how I succeeded in reversing her decision. It's very easy to convert a frustrated Christian to anything because, they are been lied to every Sunday. Pastors tell them that God is watching over them and will do everything for them in times of need but it's fat lie. God watches everyone and had provided for all men. It is our job to act and get rewarded. We should go to church to communicate to God and thank him for everything. It is important for our soul and not because we want to please God. Fellowship with Christ should be a hubby and fun at the same time. You don't go to church to ask for anything because, everything has been given. If you having a bad time, thank God, good times thank God. It's not his fault that you are having a bad time, it is your fault or nature. Look for a way to get out of it and still thank God. However, when your soul is in constant communication with God, miracle can happen. Things you didn't expect, unmerited favor, impossible things. These miracles are involuntary and it's not connected to your righteousness or whatnot. They are simply called miracle because, you don't deserve it anyways. |

goslowgoslow: Go and read how this particular one is formed yearly. Using the word "something" shows you lack knowledge about it. This particular one is not formed yearly. It was assumed Lightning ignited the California fire last year. However, what I am saying is the preparedness. The dryness of the bushes act as fuel. What I am saying is US can do better than this. I tell you they are more prepared for earthquake and tsunamis that this bush fire. They don't see it as a major disaster until this one. A drone or helicopter should monitor the bushes during this period every year. Fire starts from on spot or area and spread. Just before Christmas, I was discussing with my neighbor who was burning stuffs around the house to be careful that California fire will soon start, so let it not start from our house and we laughed over it. If someone like me living in a zoo republic knew what's up, how come US didn't know? Yes I don't know what caused the fire but I think it's volcano. Whatever it is, US can do better. Even China won't allow this fire to escalate this much. |

Fujiyama: ^^^ Exactly.
What real work goes into issuing a GSM licence? How hard is it to do that?
It is a measure of how poor all our leaders have been - that issuing GSM licences is recorded as some earth shattering achievement. Who provided the bulk of the capital? Who provided the technology? Who provided the management? Who provided the infrastructure? It was the GSM companies!
The same government we are being told to celebrate because it sat down in one office and issued GSM licences - the same government botched the power industry (billions gone down the tube in failed power privatization projects) and the steel industry (millions lost in the Ajaokuta 'privatization'). Why don't people talk about that? Don't mind our Nigeria citizens, they are so easy to deceive |

saintmm: That NITEL privatization is still the best privatization project we have so far in Nigeria. It was done for the benefits of the system and not for individuals and till now we're still reaping the fruit of that well-executed privatization. Kudos to AA. Atiku and his team for that and by extension OBJ for the approval. Even though they still performed below expectations given the prevailing circumstances as at when they were in office. I don't really know why we lay some much emphasis on this. Obj and AA didn't do shiit. Nitel time was over... Wether they privatized it or not, wireless networks came with full strength. So assuming, Obj refuses to privatize Nitel, you think I will be using Nitel by now? All our leaders failed in there own time. When we have a successful leader, everyone will feel it instantly. |

Ojuntana: It's obvious you've never read the bible but just depending on hearsay Genesis 3:17
Is this part missing from your bible?
Christ is not the tree of life because God said in the same Genesis 3 that if man eats from the tree of life, he'll become immortal. Are you saying Jesus being the son of God with the likelihood of God was also a tree? in other words, is God a tree? If so, what kind is he?
Again, you're yet to show from the bible that there's anything called premature sex cause if there is, it will imply that sex was forbidden for humans until the time of maturity. What then is the time of maturity? Also, in Genesis 1, God already told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. If you say sex was premature, how were they expected to muliply in accordance with God's pronouncement?
Again, you've not showed how Adam having sex with his wife is a sin is disobedience since God told them to be fruitful and muliply. Note also that in Genesis 2:16, God said they can eat from every fruit of the trees in the garden except that of the tree of good and evil. If you say eating the fruit from that tree means premature sex, what is eating the fruit from the other trees then? Mature sex? You are just quoting Moses... Like I told I don't believe God said all that and did all that in the old testament. This is where you are missing. If you insist God said and did all these... Should we assume God did all that evil in the old testament. Don't believe everything you see or read if Jesus Christ did not validate it in the new testament. |
