Sequel to this topic... As a programmer what we are selling is our ideas and skills. However, if AI take over our skills, I will still sell AI to my clients, simple.
Therefore the ever green skill here is selling of ideas. Understanding what people who are not in the tech industry needs and sell it to them. Learning programing alone may not be enough. 20yrs ago, some guys were cyber Cafe gurus, they even horde the best timers for computers forming best programmers. 10yrs later, they are out of business. Same fate awaits pythons, c++, html programmers etc.

AI is not online coding. There is math, algebra, trigonometry, logic, probability, and finally intuition. Data Science is included in it. Machine Learning is deep. I know. I get scared sometimes when I learn about things that most people are unaware of. I have been shouting that we need to learn how to garden and buy at least six plots of land in a new residential area (not in the bush). Food sovereignty and security will be important issues in the near future as well. You need at least a basic knowledge of programming to use AI efficiently. AI can't code everything for you, no matter how sophisticated that AI is. As a matter of fact using AI to write code you don't understand is a big security risk.
AI won't take devs job, it will only make the the space more competitive, and make devs strive to bring out the best in them.
