Religion / Re: Mock The Atheist. by Ochek: 5:44pm On Sep 29, 2014
An Atheist professor would before every lecture give a lil talk about how God does not exist and all of that.
One faithful day, just as he made for the door after a usual lecture style, his last toe came against the door post. In pain he screamed "O my God!" and then came a reply somewhere from the back seat: "Which One?".

If Shekau gets killed, Boko Haram will
announce a new leader. That is how terrorist groups get by and keep the moral of their followers high and moving. Let's
get global and get ourselves aware of the happenings around the globe.
Yes I'm happy if the confirmation pulls out positive. Meanwhile, it's too early to dance the victory.

@OP. On point number 3. Have you not read that what goes into a man does not make him dirty but what comes out of him?

After all is said and done, making Heaven is by Grace and not by works.

Shalom!

nora544:

I am not a die-hard catholic but I hate pastors who twist the gospel and who sell the gospel and that is what most of this nigerian pastors make they sell all that they can get money.

Why don't you just face your own personal life. Look dear, salvation is a personal thing. Hate them or not, the end justifies the means.
Strive to obtain your own salvation and let God judge fake.

Meanwhile, how in your own way, you're doing your own quoter of depopulating he'll and populating heaven? Cos thatz what matters most after your salvation.
Politics / Re: Govt Officials Blame The US For Arms Purchase Scandal. by Ochek: 8:30am On Sep 18, 2014
Demdem: Foolish govt with their world class lies.
If America no gree, Russia nko?
Are they insinuating that America also blocked Russia from selling arms to Nigeria?
Foolish set of people.

As much as I am no were in support of the foolish moves of the government, I would want you to know that if by chance, the stories are true that the Big brother is "blocking" our chances of getting arms, it would be in a wrong light to run down to the Russians as big brother is supposed to be our pal in such times and smiling with the Russians would make big brother frown at us.

On the other hand, we need to win this war at all cost.

Now that the dust has settled over NMA's perceived commandeering of the health industry, internal wrangling amongst the once unified strange bed-fellows is threatening to tear apart the coalition.

This GNAN and NANNM imbroglio is one that is sure to last for a long time until the govt. Stamps her verdict on their superiority tussle.

No doubt.
It's rather funny how in the 21st century ppl keep pulling them professions apart.

All the management and longevity you see among sickle cell patients is due to them. Infact they have tried. Why can't you also tell your own govt to invest in research instead of buying expensive material items like houses ans private jets! Don't blame the oyinbos, blame your black brodas in power all over Africa.

Of course I am yelling all I can to ma government buh you sure know how such things can be. Especially when it looks like you are making a snail move.

Anyway, to all the SICKLE CELL HEROS out there, I respect and luv you. And to understanding health care givers, God bless you.
Health / Re: ALS Ice Bucket Challenge: Do You Know What You Are Supporting? by Ochek: 8:26pm On Aug 27, 2014
Until the Oyinbos can actively support a black man's disease like SICKLE CELL ANAEMIA, make them no expect "ghen" from some of us.

prettyprettywow: In spite of the imminent threat of the Ebola Virus Disease in Lagos, striking medical doctors under the auspices of Lagos State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association, have said they will not suspend the ongoing strike. The Chairman of the Association, Dr Tope Ojo, said the ongoing strike was not called because of Ebola and cannot be called off because of the threat of the viral infection in the state.

http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/07/wont-call-strike-ebola-virus-threat-lagos-nma/

How come them are telling us today that Ebola was part of consideration for calling off the strike? Please maintain a stand.

Health / Fallouts From Sacking Student Doctors by Ochek: 10:59am On Aug 16, 2014
FALLOUTS FROM SACKING STUDENT DOCTORS: NMA threading the path of August I hope other health professionals are not jubilating over the recent development because we should see beyond the gimmicks of the health minister or GEJ sacking of over 16000 student doctors.

We all know that this sack will not stand..its not possible. Cant you see that this is the end game plan to whip up sentiments amongst Nigerian and the powers that be. It is a known path that will get them what they want

You sack them ..in one week time you call them back and then give them all their requestsI ask my other colleagues in JOHESU...what lessons are you learning from from this NMA season 8 movie? It looks like they (doctors) are ready to let go their jobs for these not-very-charitable demands. They are sticking together and remaining adamant and making their voices heard

This is a crucial moment in the history of healthcare delivery system in Nigeria for which JOHESU need to be upbeat about the next move peradventure the govt bulges to these uncharitable demands.

JOHESU...I ask you? What are you doing to make you voices heard media wise? What are your outreach programmes to ameliorate the Ebola outbreak? Will you be able to stand your ground if your jobs are at stake? Do you have a plan of action to counter these uncharitable demands just in case the govt agrees to it?

I feel this moment is crucial and unfolding events should be matched with a predictive strategic response asthe minister of health still remains a doctor and he too is a brainchild of the residency program. He definitely wouldnt want to shoot himself in the foot.
