Politics / Re: ‘organised Crime’ – Peter Obi Speaks On Tinubu’s Govt Removal Of Fuel Subsidy by Ochek: 6:33am On Jun 07, 2023
Nvestor02:
I don't take Peter Obi serious right from the start. I can show you guy one video of him when he vows to remove subsidy in less than 24 hours he assume office.

Now he is changing mouth because he want to look different to the people 😂 when you lie ttoo much, you forget your lies sometimes.

This man is not trust worthy and he has been like that since he was 7 years old. I blame his parent that doesn't stop him from his lying talent.

Now he is legend lair 😂

Only if you took your time to read his comment. Obi never denied his plan to removing subsidy of fuel. Regardless of the time he must have said he will implement it (1hr or 24hrs), he stated that there was going to be a plan running to cushion on the effect.

Rather than talking for talking sake, talk logically with facts. Your APC led government has done a right thing but without adequate plan as evidenced by the massive unbearable suffering on the Nigerian ppl.

Hajia Aisha keep deceiving yourself, APC & Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the election overwhelmingly.

Hell will freeze the day an Igbo man can defeat a Yoruba & Hausa/Fulani man in a general election in Nigeria.

Once upon a time, the white American had this view about black Americans ever coming close to the presidency. Today, we know better.

Health / Re: Johesu Members Involved In Ghastly Accident by Ochek: 9:30pm On May 19, 2018
Facebook Post by a JOHESu leader ISTH...

There was an accident of a group transiting to Auchi from Benin. They were rushed to our A/E at Irrua.
There were no deaths, but minor bruises and cuts. But some have mandibular distortions and other degrees of fractures that may need some days in hospital and scans to be done. But they are all stable.
We swung into action trying to call some of our nurses, and store officers and union members to go help out, we didn't really ask who they were initially, and we didn't want to argue while accident victims suffer. They are all there now helping with the treatment of the injured as it was very clear that the Doctors were helpless at a point. I have called the HOD of general stores to help with treatment items. The HOD of Pharmacy has been on ground helping with pharmaceuticals, the Nurses have arrived as their chairperson mandated and we have the situation under great control.
After putting the anxiety to rest, we decided to really find out who the victims were and found out they are cleaners in UBTH not JOHESU members as being erroneously circulated in social media against the striking unions. A call to SSA chair, UBTH confirmed they are cleaners in UBTH & all outsourced staff and belong to no union in UBTH.
Well, we are happy to relax our strike a bit for the injured and we are happy to prove that treatments are difficult without JOHESU members. We are also happy to prove that we have a largely humanitarian mindset.
That's the summary of what happened.

Car Talk / Toyota Avensis 2004 Without Catalyst Sensor by Ochek: 7:46am On Apr 30, 2018
Greetings everyone,

So, I acquired a Nigerian used Toyota Avensis 2004 model about 2 years ago. After a couple of months on complaining about the fuel usage I was told the front catalyst (indomie) was not there and that's why.

I purchased the catalyst (indomie) only for the mechanic to alert me there is no sensor port for it.

I have been told by 2 different persons not to worry as long as the car fires well. I have equally tried to find the catalyst sensor to no avail.

Please, car gurus, what are your advice on this?

you have to choose one. GOOD AND QUALITY HEALTHCARE- EXPENSIVE.
POOR HEALTHCARE- CHEAP. While i dont blame anybody that cant afford good healthcare, Nigerians should stop blaming doctors that demand for money to provide a semblance of good care saying we should keep treating everybody on compassionate grounds. Healthcare is expensive. If you cant afford it, dont blame a doctor that cant afford to provide it too

Well said!
Our government is damn too corrupt for the common man to be saved. See how much was budgeted for the state house clinic alone, more than 10 teaching hospitals.

FMOH is messed up.
We need Nigerians to stand up to this cancerous happenings. I and to think that the NGO bill will be affecting those related to health is sickening.

A dead body is found at the bottom of a multistory building.

It looks quite clear that the person has committed suicide by jumping off from one of the floors.

A detective comes, goes to the first floor and walks in the room facing the direction in which the body was found.

He opens the closed window of that room and flips a coin towards the floor.

He goes to the second floor and does the exact same thing till the last floor.

Then, when he climbs down, he tells the team that it is a murder, not suicide.

How did he know?

Simple! Cos all windows were closed. If he jumped, the window would have been opened.

then if u are not ready to pay, go to another hospital abi na by force.......and what do u mean by "to manage pain", if u don't understand something, either u ask questions or u keep ur mouth shut

How many ENT specialist can you find within a 5km range?

Of course it's business and the hospital should be able to make some profit but asking for a 250k as deposit is way too much. Argue that with your keyboard.

And for the management of pain, that was in a wider/generalization of the happening events with private hospitals. So, I yes! I do understand what exactly it is I was referring to.

The government is to blame for this for not providing enough beds and facilities in public hospitals, but how can they provide it when Nigerians pay abysmally low prices for public health services, untill the health sector is privatized and Nigerians or health insurance companies are made to pay the real cost of health services I don't see it getting better.

There is nothing wrong with the demand of N250k by the private hospital, they are businesses and have the right not to give services on credit

And you truly think all you said make sense Abi?

Let me ask you, do exist in the space called Nigeria irbyou are simply typing from another country?

Of course, it's true our health sector is in a shadow of its self but then asking for a whooping sum of 250k as initial deposit to manage pain in a kid is simply outrageous and inhumane. If it had to do with ICU what then. ...

Baseline, our government is to blame.

Do you all have any idea about his "family" save the pictures circulating the internet? perhaps, just like the Nigerian dad abroad who recently discovered that his 32years old son ain't his, Tony may have (assuming he was married) discovered that he don't own those kids and prolly has returned the brides price.

But if na lie eh, the thunder that will fire that his height is still receiving instructions from Angel Gabriel.

KNH doctors separate conjoined twins in 23-hour surgery
By Jeckonia Otieno | Wednesday, Nov 2nd 2016 at 21:35

Surgeons at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) have successfully separated conjoined twins in a 23-hour operation.
The girls, named Blessing and Favour, were born in September 2014.
The surgery, which ended in the wee hours of Wednesday, took two years of meticulous planning due to the complex nature of the areas shared by the twins. The girls were joined at the lower back.
The complicated procedure, which began on Tuesday, involved a team of 58 professionals. Acting KNH CEO Thomas Mutie said this was the most complex procedure to be done successfully in sub-Saharan Africa apart from South Africa.
"I am humbled by the success and importance of this event. The twins were born in Meru and referred to KNH where they were admitted to the surgical unit," said Dr Mutie.
Mutie said he visited the twins in the morning and they were doing well.
The surgical team was led by paediatric surgeon Fred Kambuni. Dr Kambuni said due to the manner in which the twins were conjoined, various teams had to work together to ensure the separation was successful.
"The two girls were born through normal delivery and it was realised they were conjoined. When they were brought here, we studied them for a whole year - we had planning meetings and looked at images, including three dimensional prints," said Kambuni.
Surgery began first on paper before it was actualised, the doctor said. The procedure will be followed by rehabilitation until the twins get well. This is expected to take another year.
The whole process was slowed down by the realisation that the girls, who were joined mainly on the lower end, shared some vital parts of the body. For instance, they had different guts up to the rectum but shared the anus and genitals.
Utmost care
"There will be reconstruction of these shared areas," Kambuni said.
Nimrod Mwangombe, the head of neurosurgery at University of Nairobi (UoN) and who was part of the team, said the back area and the urogenital system were stuck and required a lot of precision and utmost care.
"Now that the separation has been done, plastic surgeons will come in to restore the areas that were operated on," said Prof Mwangombe.
This is not the first case of conjoined twins that KNH has handled. However, according to Kambuni, it is the most complex but successful case.
"Others came but they were complex mainly because there were shared organs. In other cases, one of the twins has been a parasite such that even separating them would be difficult," explained Kambuni.
With the children spending about 700 days at the hospital, accommodation alone would have cost Sh10.5 million. Equipment would have cost Sh25 million while professional charges would have amounted to about Sh70 million.
The bill will be paid by KNH and the National Hospital Insurance Fund.
Journalists highlighted the girls' case on August 4, 2014, and they were transferred to KNH.https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/mobile/article/2000221961/knh-doctors-separate-conjoined-twins-in-23-hour-surgery

more pics here https://www.tuko.co.ke/220769-heartwarming-photos-delicate-operation-separate-conjoined-twins-kenyatta-nat.html

-----the surjery was done and led by kenyan doctors in a government public hospital, other doctors came from Unicersity of nairobi school of medicin, meaning the doctors were not foreign trained, they went to school locally meaning the knowledge and experience can easily be passed on to others and the next generation of doctors

Coming from Africa, this holds plenty of positivity to us.
