niceeez:If you are willing to relocate to Abia State, then get in touch. Accommodation may be provided, if you are the right candidate. |
Where are you based? Since you are doing a PGDE in Education, that means you will be interested in teaching. There is a new school in abia state looking for talented, creative and enthusiastic teachers, who are committed to making a career in teaching, rather than those who are just looking for something to temporarily hold on to. This school has huge potentials, and is very likely to come with accommodation for the right candidate. The owner is looking for someone who can be trusted with the affairs of the school, with strict monitoring and supervision. This is one out of 2 other campuses which each has its own headteacher. Without saying too much here, if you are interested, and have what it takes to drive a school forward and reach for the skies, then send me your full CV with a covering letter, detailing your skills, and the ideas and potentials you will be bringing with you to the school as your initial contributions, towards reaching the goals of the school. chiztom@gahoo.com; gms.umuobia@gmail.com; gleamingmoonsch@gmail.com Alternatively, you can call 07038787265 for further details. But send an SMS first to book a time when you can call and be able to speak with the person attending to this advert. Championlaw200: |

cyara:I know this post was done sometime last year. Are you still in that job? Are you willing to relocate to Abia? Do you have education qualification? If yes, why don't you partner with me. I am a proprietress of two primary schools, each of which are run by a headteacher. i want to start a secondary school this september, and have made several preparations for it. However, I am looking for someone who will partner with me as the pioneer principal. If you are interested, send me an e-mail with your post headline as the subject (Agony of a job seeker), and attach your CV via gleamingmoonsch@gmail.com. Then we will take it on from there. |

lifeispeace:Where are you located? Do you have education qualification or willing to get one? Are you interested in teaching? Will you be willing to relocate to Abia? If you answered yes to all these, then contact me (chiztom@yahoo.com), let's talk school business. |
Valmesk:Thank you for your response. Certainly, your point is true, as those are leadership qualities, which obviously are not exclusive to education. However, studying education is one way to show your commitment to the field, and as a professional field, one needs to be properly trained/qualified to function effectively. Also, registering the school with a non-qualified teacher as the principal will not sell to the Ministry of Education. In addition to that, it is a professional requirement that a school ought to be headed by a qualified teacher, not an unqualified teacher. While certain SSCE holders may have better skills/qualities than certain "graduates", it will still sound absurd to some, if they find that a school employs school cert holders as teachers. It will serve as a let down for the school. |
I would like to add that this opening is strictly for those who studied education. I am interested in those who want to pursue a career in Education, not just those who are merely looking for a job or a stepping stone for something else. I have worked as a teacher right from my school cert days, and I have committed my entire life building educational and learning structures, and creating opportunities of learning for people, with plans for more in the future. So I will not just take on board any one who doesn't share the same vision with me; who doesn't have the same passion as me; and who cannot work towards the same goal with me. Please read my post very well, and understand the requirements, before sending an email. Note that this is a partnership in which you will have a stake. So if you REALLY have a passion for teaching and making a difference, then send me your CV. After studying it, I will be the one to contact you, if necessary. It is not my intention to make this sound or look REALLY BIG. Like I said in my original post, I am not looking for flashy qualification, neither am I looking for donkey years of experience. My main interest is that you are REALLY passionate and interested in imparting knowledge, and that you have the basic cognitive skills (IQ) that will help you scale through. I would be happy to work with an NCE holder, who knows his/her stuff. |
With over two years teaching experience, I am sure you have education qualification. Please forward your CV to me, then we'll take it from there. Alaniyiokorausa: |
If you have education qualification, then send me your CV. Fireson: |

Are you a fresh graduate of Education in need of your first job after NYSC? May be you've had some secondary teaching experience, and would want to take up something more challenging than you've been doing? Then this opportunity might be for you. I am looking for someone who will partner with me to kick-start my secondary school, this September (2017). I am an owner of a nursery/primary school with two campuses, each of which is headed by a headteacher. I have BIG plans for my secondary school, and I am looking for that right person who will share in my vision, and work with me to achieve it. I want someone who is creative; someone who has an excellent work ethics; and someone who can work towards a goal without being distracted. I am a British trained English teacher, and i still work as an assessor for UK exam boards from here in Nigeria, and sometimes, i travel to the UK for same. So I am always updating my school's curriculum in line with UK standards. I am not necessarily interested in flashy certificates, or YEARS of experience, as MY OWN EXPERIENCE as an employer has taught me to look out for a few qualities, which I list below: Education qualification is a basic requirement Good attitude to work is of paramount importance Ability to stay focused, organised and prioritise tasks Ability to take the lead in administration, as well as in promoting excellence in teaching Good knowledge/skills in classroom teaching and methodology Good marketing skills for excellent representation and management of the school brand Ability to set unique structures and standards that will raise the reputation and profile of the school We are in Abia State, and accommodation WILL be available from the onset, or after the first term. Initial salary will be negotiable, but bonuses will follow as targets are achieved. You can contact me on chiztom@yahoo.com, then we will take it from there. Alternatively, if you know someone who will fit into what i have described, you can ask the person to contact me. |
please o, can somebody explain to me the benefits of having your baby in the US? I understand that the baby becomes US citizen automatically. But apart from being able to sponsor family members to the US at age 21, what other benefits are there prior to that age? Do you as the mother become entitled to getting permanent residence? Can you then bring over your other children, even if they are not US citizens? i really need to understand these things to enable me decide how much risk i am willing to take for this. |
nefertitiram:i have never been interested in visiting the us, as there wasn't much benefit in it for me in comparison to the uk. i only developed interest in the us because of the prospect of having a us citizen baby. my last baby was born about 10 yrs ago. my husband had to use patience and persuation to convince me for this one, and i consented because of this us citizen stuff. that's why it seems i'm making every effort for it to work, because i don't see myself having another baby after this one. truly somewhere down in my heart, i feel it's a way for me to keep all the money i have saved for it. but then rembering the extent i have gone in making preparations for this and the deposit i have paid, i dont feel like giving up. |
drafrican:i have tried doing that, but the earliest appointment date is 11th march, plus i will need to wait till monday to pay for the visa fee, and by then, i don't know what the new earliest date might be. again, i don't know whether they have strict rules about reapplying at the same location where your visa was granted, especially in my case where it has been cancelled. |
hello everyone. sorry to take you all back to something that appears to be a closed case. if you read my post on 12th February, i am the chicago lady who was sent back dues to different misunderstandings in my application. i went through hell on my journey back to nigeria and had to fly to the uk for some days to recover from some jet lag issues, before i went back to nigeria. i had settled down to having my baby here at home, even though we had one issue that was not cleared. my husband, just before i left for the us, had applied for visa to come and assist me close to the time of my birth. he was given march 4th as interview date. initially, we were contemplating cancelling it, since he wont be using it again, as he is not a fan of abroad travel. i wanted to reapply once i came home, but he was more concerned about my health and was not keen. but then on sunday, on our way to church, he told me that he had been thinking of going to the interview, and maybe use the opportunity to present my case to them. we finally agreed that i reapply and request fo expedited appointment, so that maybe i can go with him for the interview. the regular appointment given to me was on the 2nd of april (my edd is 5th april. lol). so i applied for an expedited appointment, but had to wait for reply. yet i went with him to the interview, but they didn't allow me enter inside. i had to wait for him at the reception. he got there, told them the purpose of his visit, and presented my case to them. the lady VO told him that i will receive a reply regarding my expedited appointment request. then she granted him visa, which we have collected by today. guess what happened? they replied and denied me expedited appointment. they gave no reason. they only refered me to their FAQ which has nothing relating to my case. i gave all the details about my chicago ordeal, and explained that as the reason for the delay in my application for a regular appointment. afterwards, i applied again without the long story, as we presumed it might not be relevant at that point. but then we attached all the documents, including the ones we obtained from the federal hospital abuja here after some medical examination. that was yesterday. by today, i got another response, denying me emergency appointment. this time the system no longer allows me request an emergency appointment. if i dont get this emergency appointment, my baby will be sure to be born at home. of course i have no problem with that, as i have already prepared for her arrival and decorated her room with lots of stuff. but my question and confusion is: how could they have given my husband visa on my behalf, knowing fully well that i had problem at POE and so am not in the us? if i don't go to the us to have this baby, which is likely going to be my last, my husband will not be able to use that visa for the purpose for which it was granted. is there any better explanation for this? |
Thank you everyone for your advice and sympathy. I actually did refuse initially, but then the lady threatened to jail me if i fail to sign the papers and voluntarily withdraw my application. My aim was to buy time with the refusal hoping that the doctores para ti will call back. but the lady kept shouting at me, saying that i must go tonight, and that if i miss that flight, they will jail me. i wasn't sure what my rights were, and with the way they were going about it, i feared having complications with my situation, and also started developing some fear that doctores para ti might be fake after all, even though deep within me, that fear wasn't very strong, as i had met a friend of mine whose wife used them. also when i saw the stamp on my visa, i felt that all hope was lost, how tough skinned i played. i didn't know i could still have been granted permission to stay. again, in addition to the whole thing, my doctor in Nigeria had already written me a letter of fitness to fly, which they had seen and had concluded that i was fit to fly if they sent me back home. Nogen: the questions you were asking are not the case here. I have my husband's full support. he is not an imigrant of the US not to talk of legal or illegal. he wrote me a letter of support for the application. the thing is that those people seemed to have already made up their mind even before they started asking me questions. i have been in contact with the doctores para ti after getting internet access here in germany. they are happy to write me a personalised letter if i am reapplying. they were surprised at the whole thing and said it was wrong, and that it has never happened before with them. they are also happy to refund me my deposit, if i am no longer coming. i have spoken to my husband about it all. he is more concerned about my safety and that of my baby, and he doesnt mind me coming back home where i will have more people around me to care for me both before and after delivery, even though he is happy with whatever decision i make about it. he feels there is no need for me to rush back into it to avoid exposing myself to unnecessary emotional trauma. bt i am still confused. one minute i am very annoyed at the whole thing and feel like bull-shitting the US and their visa, but the next minute, when i remember how much preparations ive made and how so much my mind was set on it, i feel like dying. i have been trying so so hard not to break down, both emotionally and healthwise, as i have lost appetitie. ive only eaten once today. i couldnt eat what they gave me in the flight to germany. the worst part of the whole thing is that there is not enough informattion about these things on the US consular website, unlike the UK that will give you informaion to the very last. |
Hello everybody. I have been following conversations in this forum for some time now. I found useful information that helped me in making a decision about going to El Paso to have my baby. However, I had the biggest blow of my life yesterday at Chicago. They put me through a tough time, and eventually stamped on my passport(visa cancelled with prejudice), and sent me home immediately. I got to Germany and missed my flight due to long cue at the security. Now am stuck there, waiting till 11:00am tomorrow before I can start going back to Naija. My head is turning round and round. I don't know what do now. I don't even understand what that statement means. I've searched in this forum, but I've only seen, cancelled without prejudice. Please can someone tell me the difference. My story goes like this: I applied for a B1B2 visa to come for vacation. My husbands sec sch teacher who lives in the US and is from the same village wrote me a letter of invitation. He asked me to ask from those who have had babies in the US to tell me how they did it. So I started making searches and enquiries. That was how I found this forum. Then when I contacted Doctores Para Ti, and they replied me. I forwarded the email to him. He got offended and started to warn me very seriously not to give his passport details to anyone. He told me that they might be frauds terms. So in order to please him. I said ok I won't contact them. Besides his passport details have nothing to do with my contacting them. During my interview, they asked me why I wanted to go to the us, I said for vacation as that was what I filled in my form. Then they asked if I was pregnant, I said yes. They asked if I plan to have my baby there, I said I wouldn't mind if I have the opportunity. Then they asked me how many weeks gone I was, I told them. They asked if I had contacted a doctor, I said no. Then they told me they have approved my visa, for collection by Wednesday, and then they gave me a document of requirements for someone going to the us for medical treatment, Nd asked me to make sure I get those documents before traveling so they won't turn me back at the Poe. Eventually they gave me a b1b2 visa for 2yrs. I started my preparations. My uncle was very slow in giving me hospital contacts so I can find out the fees since he has announced from day 1, that I will be the one to foot the bill. Then he came up with another thing. He said that I MUST go with ARIK Nd through Lagos, because somebody will be giving me something to bring for him. I narrated my ugly experience at Lagos Intl last year when I came back from the UK regarding going to the bus stop, scrambling to get on the shuttle bus to get to the car park where the person to pick me was waiting. I told him that my concern is with returning. By then I will be carrying a baby, with a newly performed c section and my luggage so that it will be a health hazard for me. Then my husband offered that the person send the stuff to us and we pay for the cost, so that I can then travel with the stuff from Abuja. He got offended and cut off communication. We called and called, but he refused to pick. Eventually when we got in touch with the doctor he gave us, we found out the whole thing was going to cost us about 27,000 plus. Then when I compared it to Doctores para to in El Paso, I would save money from both hospital bills and accommodation and feeding. So I chose El Paso. I even made a deposit payment do 2800k to prove my ability to pay my bills. My balance was then 4000+, and I had 6000k cash plus my card for UK account with about 4000k and my nig bank card worth also about 4000k. At the Poe in Chicago, they asked me why I was there, I said for vacation and to have my baby. They asked my how long I plan to stay, I told them 3months (I was 32wks, 8wks b4 delivery and 4wks after delivery). Then they took me inside and kept me waiting for more than 3 hours. Eventually, a guy came to me and took me to a room. He asked me why i was there, I told him as earlier. He asked me about hospital, I gave the letter from the hospital and the receipt for the fees I paid. He asked me how MUch I had, I told him 6k and showed him. I also showed him my Visa cards and my bank statements and the reservation I made at INTOWN suites. He kept quiet, then he took all my documents . Eventually, one lady who was very unfriendly, intimidating and bossy came into the matter. She asked questions. Never allowed me to finish, and then cuts in with her own answers twisting what I say. THE SUMMARY OF IT all. They concluded that I used my uncle to get the visa, and now I am going to El Paso. They didn't believe my story about my uncle. She also said that I lied to the visa officer and didn't willingly tell him I was coming to give birth, that I only said that because he asked me. I told her I was being interviewed and should a answer only what I am asked. Then she said that the amount the Doctores para TI wrote in their letter is unfounded. She claimed that the average cost of giving birth by c section in the US is 40000k, so if those people are charging me under 7000k, that it is suspicious. To add to the injury, they said they have called the Doctores para TI. And they were not reaching them, so they cannot verify their authenticity. They also claimed to have called my uncle and he is not picking. By that time, I knew that I was in for trouble. I asked them to send emails, as it is faster, they agreed, but never did. At the end of the day, they kept me there for nearly 10hrs and then stamped my passport: visa cancelled with prejudice. They concluded that I was making up stories, and in fact in my desperation to prove to them that I was saying the truth, I gave them all my documents, they took my diary, my phone, and all the info they got from there, they used against me, even when I told them about someone I met last Friday, who is my friend, and whose wife had her baby at El Paso. They rather twisted it and said that I only met this person after I had paid 2800k, so what was the point in meeting him? They kind of implied that Doctores para ti is a scam! I found it difficult to accept the cancelation and sign the voluntary withdrawal of my application for entry, because I didn't understand what I did wrong. Later another came and explained to me why it was necessary for me to sign the papers, that if I didn't sign it, I will be barred from entering the US for 5 years, but if I voluntarily withdraw my application, then I would have another chance of applying for a visa. So I agreed and signed. Please I need to know what that statement means: visa cancelled with prejudice. I need urgent reply PLEASE! |
