Or that Ahly and Zamalek currently form the bulk of the team we saw yesterday and in the past 3 Nations Cup?

Yes Bruv I'm glad some of us agree that it is early days and if we expect to see changes then we should expect someone will implement them.  We cannot be hitting the same spot and expect a different reaction. ALL them boys need to WAKE UP! No one is excluded. The fire and discipline in them went off after 30 mins of play. Not good enough IMO.

As regards Mikel, I agree to disagree grin. He is no longer the Mikel of 2005 (And this is my personal and only beef with JM. . .not many may agree though). He clearly needs to step up but of the 3 DMs yesterday he was the "best" IMO.
Subbing him is not really the issue but for Kanu? haba. . .
What was Yak doing on the pitch? He was clearly out of shape! Etuhu nko? Yusuf nko?

Obasi was on fire yesterday. Not just the goal. He kept tracking back to help the RB. Lovely display.

Yusuf was for better than Mikel yesterday. No comparisons please.

Enyeama: 6 - He didn't make any huge mistake, but he clearly wasn't at his best looking at the 3rd Egyptian goal.

While a flat defense line was the main culprit for the first goal, did he have to rush out like a child going to collect his promised candy by his father who just got home? undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided
Dull reflexes for the 3rd goal. While the shot was well positioned, it was taken from way out of the 18 yard area and lacked the venom of Obasi's goal and Egypt's 2nd goal. Face it, he was poor on those 2 occasions regardless of the other saves he made.

Happy Viewing.

PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Interviewed By BBC: He's Alive Afterall! by ochukoccna: 1:56pm On Jan 12, 2010
A man claiming to be Yar'Adua speaks to the BBC
Exactly 50 days after Umaru Yar'Adua disappeared from public view on a medical trip to Saudi Arabia, the BBC is reporting that it spoke to a man purporting to be our president. The one minute clip which has been used in various programmes and can be accessed via the BBC ‘s website, has a man who presented himself as the president saying he is recuperating , "at the moment I am undergoing treatment and I'm getting better from the treatment. I hope that very soon there will be tremendous progress, which will allow me to get back home."
However there has been no independent verification of the authenticity of the voice on the tape. The BBC story is coming on the back of a story by NEXT reporting that President Yar'Adua is brain damaged and unable to function as president.
In reaction to the BBC report, NEXT editors said, ‘'we stand by our story, to wit: we have it on good authority that the president has suffered brain damage and other impairments, and is no longer able to effectively discharge the office of president. Anyone who claims we are wrong should please produce our president, so that he can speak to us directly as Nigerians, and not via an audio clip through a foreign news organization.''
NEXT also said it is willing to immediately dispatch journalists to meet the president in Saudi Arabia as soon as his kitchen cabinet permits access to him. ‘'We would like to see for ourselves and talk directly to our president. This is one occasion where we would be happily wrong. So we call on those keeping the president hidden from the Nigerian people to produce him immediately for all to see,'' the media organisation said.

Speaking by telephone to the BBC in an interview organised by the president's office, Mr Yar'Adua said he was making a good recovery.
"At the moment I am undergoing treatment, and I'm getting better from the treatment. I hope that very soon there will be tremendous progress, which will allow me to get back home," he told Mansur Liman from the BBC Hausa service, speaking in both Hausa and English. BBC Hausa has a large audience in northern Nigeria, where Hausa is the main language.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8453321.stm

2 QUESTIONS
[1]Why conduct the interview through the BBC only on audio? Why in Hausa? Is that the official language of 9ja now? Even OBJ as perverse and warped as he was never conducted official interviews in his native tongue. Why not let us see a video recording of him seeing he sounded like a dead man walking.
[2]If after 50 days, he's still hoping to make tremendous progress, then 9ja is in serious wahala!
