oldtime:Sorry to disappoint you oldtime but misinterpreting the above scriptures is delusion @ best. Christ didn't speak back because he came to die for mankind's sins not show his kingdom superseded that of this age. Wasn't he who said he could call legions of angels to come to his aid but choose not to ? Paul in the above scripture was speaking about the sufferings he went through in defense of the gospel unlike the false apostles the Corinthians were more enamored to. he wasn't speaking about politics here dude. Please keep your zombie Christianity to yourself and not infect us with it. ![]() |
oldtime:You are even more deluded than I thought. no 1 disputes that Christ alone changes men's hearts. No 1 is trying to change the world, we are demanding the right things, things as stipulated by the constitution be done. If demanding constitutionally guranteed good governance is 'changing the world' to you, why don't you move to countries like Burma & North Korea whose governance model aligns with your world view. Nonsense! |
@ Monday's match-What a Pyrrhic Victory, Such a hollow conquest! ![]() I've read through some comments and see everyone [well most people] is jumping upon the bandwagon of the labored display of the Nigerian Nation Team @ the current Nations Cup in Angola [sorry I can't call them Super cos that is missing from the team and their play] because they are now in the semis. Yet this is an even bigger pointer to the general Nigerian malaise i.e. patch up the leaks& don't rock the boat. keep the peace as long as we can drag it along. Is that not what is playing out on the national political stage when it is obvious what we need is a Sovereign National Conference to address our ills. yet this is football not politics. I agree that @ times a great team scrapes through results but if we want to use this excuse to paper over the obvious cracks we are just been clever in half. Ghana is the nation that has benefited the most from this Nations Cup seeing she has blooded about half of the victorious U20 World Cup winning squad @ senior international competetive level. What does that tell you? Just One word Continuity! and keen competition for her WC bound squad. Where is our WC & Olympics silver winning squad? ![]() By Amodu's standard they can't cut the grade @ senior international football yet. Amodu fortuitously took Ogbuke to Angola and the lad has proved himself to be one of our best players @ Angola. He said the home based players are just training materials for our European bench warmers yet the Egyptian team is people by players Kano Pillars beat in the CAF Champions league while Algeria too is packed with local based players. We may go on to win the Nation's Cup but even that is just a stamp upon Nigeria's mediocrity like our semi final qualification. But Amodu didn't put himself there, he was appointed by some goons who don't understand the meaning of vision in football nor have a ruminant's sense on how to properly administer football. But regardless of this all, Nigerians will still celebrate just like we applauded the silver our olden eaglets gave us earlier this year. |
I heard the same news on Cool FM today from Bode Oguntuyi. To see it written by Colin Udoh is no surprise seeing he's extremely pro Hamodu. |

@ yesterday's match-What a Pyrrhic Victory, Such a hollow conquest! ![]() @ post, let the dreamer keep dreaming, let Nigerians keep wishing. marvix:And calling on the National Assembly to do what is right & written in black and white in the constitution in swearing in Jonathan is not standing for Justice? ![]() Were you high on somethiing whilst typing? ![]() marvix:What 9ja has been lacking is a leadership structure to channel their aggression against bad government policies. Labour tried but seems to have lost steam. If Save Nigeria Group will provide that platform, WONDERFUL! Did he say he's supporting any political party? Has he ever told his congregation to vote for a certain candidate? Let us know this things instead of this your thinly veiled anti-Bakare posture! |
oldtime:Keep on holding on to religious cotton wool in your self righteous quest on the error of Bakare to have joined in with civil disobedience. God has power but how does he go about delivering his people if not using a man? @ least we know he's [Bakare] taking action by speaking out and joining in protests rather than anointing this looters with Ororo [Olive oil whey dem suppose dey take fry dodo] so that their stealing can be sanctified and allowing them sit in the front pews with their harems. Seems you are still holding on to illusions seeing even Christ did not speak the Word when he confronted those who brought and sold in the temple but with a whip he drove them out. When Moses confronted Pharoah [a political power], was he instigating civil disobedience or doing God's work? That you are a conservative Christian pining for heaven on a corrupt earth through only prayer is not a bad thing in itself. Keep praying while we keep marching and supporting marches. Most important thing as long as we have a new 9ja all na for the glory of God. |

Can some1 tell Murray to shut up his mouth? I understand the euphoria of making the last four but wasn't it against a wounded opponent? ![]() It's just like a hunter killing a terminally ill lion or a ['man'?] who wrestles and batters his wife into submission ![]() Pyrrhic victory just like the Supa? Eagles did over Zambia

That the reporter was rude is not in doubt but is that why Ojo M was threatening him with "come to 9ja & see' ? ![]() A FM saying this in the glare of the World media? ![]() All the guy was trying to point out is Ojo M is a PAIP- politician always in power ! That's why he traced Ojo M to Abacha. Foreign Journalists have a way of dissing you while smiling and hugging you, SR should learn from them instead of allowing 'black man body whey too dey hot show up' in their questions. And do you consider that unintelligent rant by Ojo M an intelligible way of replying? I'm not a minister of Yaradua,m I'm a minister of the Federal Republic of 9ja, I was appointed because I'm from Abia state. And to think thus is the caliber of people repping 9ja Hmnn wahala dey O! |

Too bad for Cameroon to go out this way! They dominated the bloody Egyptians but football is cruel @ times because of blundering officials. Too bad! So bad! |
Men them suppose flog Webo for that miss! GOAL! |
nice shot eto'o! |
I'm surprised people are not commenting on this match or is it because 9ja isn't involved? ![]() Anyway it's in extra time now and 1:1 I saw only the last 25 minutes and I'm even more surprised to see Cameroon is having more of the possession while Egypt is relying more on counter attacks. Look @ Cameroon stifling the Egypt we were laboring against in our 1st match. Chei! ![]() |
