Please, I have a NIN related question. It concerns applying for passport too.

So, on the NIMC app, I noticed that the picture placed on my card there isn't mine. The details are correct but the picture is wrong. I wrote to them early this year on instagram but they didn't reply.

Right now, I'm thinking of applying for my passport and I'm hoping this issue won't affect things later (maybe for eg, my passport processing). Hence, I wish to know if/how it can be resolved.

Hello guys, please I’d like to know what it really means to verify ones NIN, I was at the immigration office the other day to open my file before my capturing date and the lady I met at the servicom office asked if I had verified my NIN, I said yes without thinking twice cause I thought it was another means to extort me she was cooking up. Right now I’m a little confused and really just want to know if it won’t later affect me on my capturing date. I’d really appreciate an answer please ??

Hello house DIYers

We have an appointment for a minor at Abeokuta and we spoke to someone who works there.
He said we would be sent back on the day of the appointment because we are supposed to certify/verify our documents before the appointment day.
The immigration website does not indicate this at all, nor does it request any uploads.

Please anyone with any information about the practices at the Abeokuta office, kindly share.

We, the people must be ready to make Nigeria work. Let everyone stand their ground, do things the right way and stop bribing people who are paid to do their work.

I used the Sagamu Immigration office and i have captured since 18th of May, it completed 5 weeks yesterday and there is no passport in sight..
DIY will frustrate you, I can't wait anymore, enough of being patriotic. It is now i understand why the officers were laughing at me that day when they heard i did it myself, only their PCO commended me.

A lot of you people will condemn Non- DIY people here and call them unprintable names as if they were told that NON_DIY are the problems of Nigeria.
Even in America Embassy worldwide there is a priority provision to fast track your appointment date for interview so with UK High Commission.
Be forming Loyalty to a nation that does not care about your existence,
A nation that has placed stumbling blocks on your way to progress.
Now you have followed protocol to DIY and they are still frustrating you.

@ thread, from what I've read, it seems most are applying for the 5 year 32/64 page passport and not the 10 year one?
Any special reasons to this? Or is the 10 year booklet scarce?
I remember reading someone on this thread saying he got a 10 year passport issued to him.
To me it seems logical to apply for a 10 year issue due to all the challenges many are listing here rather than repeating this cycle again in roughly 60 months i.e. 5 years.
Alausa seems to be the most active office in the South West and by extension Lagos while Festac seems not to have many good testimonies due to booklet issues.
Please can anyone update this thread if he/she has made use of Abeokuta or Sagamu offices of the NIS for passport issuance or renewal recently .
