If you understand this truth, you can help set others free whose souls are trapped in regions of captivity.

I need you to understand that Jesus is Lord over all principalities, all powers, over dominion, over thrones, over the rulers of the darkness of this world, and over spiritual wickedness in high places.

If there's one thing spirits understand very clearly is hierarchy of power. Many Christians don't understand the implications of the declaration "Jesus is Lord!" When you command a situation that is influenced by demonic spirits to be restored in the name of the Lord Jesus, those spirits must obey the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Paul said God wrought the exceeding greatness of his power in Jesus Christ (that is, his name) when he raised him up from the dead, and set him far above all angels, dominion, and thrones.
Christianity EtcRe: Regions Of Captivity: When The Soul Is Held In A Strange Land by ocnovakmichael(op):
Many are alive but their souls have been fragmented in regions of Captivity.
Some are in the land of forgetfulness: a region where no one remembers a person. Your destiny helper are cut off from you. When people are called upon to be blessed or celebrated, you left behind because spiritual wickedness has help your soul captive and oppressed in a region forgetfulness.
Some are in a strange land: a region where soul are oppressed and overladen with spiritual burden. These souls have lost the joy of fellowship. They have not interest in the things of the Lord anymore. There lives are in ruine and everything around them seem dead or in the shadow of death. The prophet Joel when describing the situation of those whose souls are trat in a strange land declared:

Joel 1:12
[12]The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

And scripture tells of the lamentations of the children of Israel whose souls were trapped in a strange land:

Psalms 137:3-4
[3]For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
[4]How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land?

Brothers and sister, I can go on to describe these regions of soulicle captivity. They as as real as the back of my hands. And the condition of those souls in those regions is a reflection of what they're experiencing in the physical realm.

Christianity EtcRegions Of Captivity: When The Soul Is Held In A Strange Land by ocnovakmichael(op):
How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land? — Psalm 137:4 KJV

There is a grief that no physician or psychotherapist can explain. It is the grief of being alive on earth, while the soul is held prisoner somewhere else. The Bible calls it exile. The prophets called it captivity. Today we would call it depression, burnout, bitterness, or spiritual dryness. But Scripture gives it a deeper name: Regions of Captivity.

In these regions, the soul is not free. The powers of darkness have placed captives in cells "in the lowest parts of the earth." Not physically but spiritually. Day and night they are judged, mocked, and taunted — not because they did the unpardonable, but because they cannot escape on their own free will. Like the echoes of Babylon, the captors stand over the captives and demand: "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!" These captors, demonic spirits, want worship as entertainment, praise without freedom, joy without deliverance. And the captives can only answer: “How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?”

The Scriptures are full of souls who knew and had experienced these regions of captivity.

David cried from it — Psalm 88:11-12, 14, 17-18

Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in Abaddon? Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? And thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
LORD, why castest thou off my soul? Why hidest thou thy face from me?
They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.

Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.

Israel lived it physically in Babylon, yet many souls are living it in this present day in depression, rejection, bitterness, phobia, and drunkenness.

Psalms 137:1-4

[1]By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
[2]We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
[3]For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
[4]How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land?

Their harps hung on willow trees by the rivers. Home was gone. The temple was gone. And their worship was being demanded by those who hated their God. They were mocked and taunted, and their captors required of them a song in a strange land: to which they inquire, "How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land?"
Many Christians and unbelievers are wasting away in a strange land. Their souls are held captive and oppressed day and night by demonic spirits. And whatever state their soul is in these regions it's a reflection of their physical state upon the earth.

Joshua the High Priest while he was yet living on earth, his soul was found in one of these regions of captivity: Zechariah 3:1-3

[1]And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
[2]And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
[3]Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.

Now I need to underscore here that Joshua the high priest was not being accused before the angel of the LORD in the third heaven where God dwells: because Joshua could not have put on filthy garments in God's presence in heaven, no. This event was actually in one of those regions of captivity in the heavenlies controlled by spiritual wickedness in the high places as Paul puts it in Ephesians 6:12

In each case the souls of the captives were fragmented, taken to strange lands with names like Abaddon, Oblivion, Heathendom, and the Land of Forgetfulness. Places where God feels absent and the enemy feels loud.

The prophet Isaiah described these trapped souls as the captives of the mighty” and “the prey of the terrible.” — Isaiah 49:24-25
These are people walking on earth, going to work, raising families — but inwardly bound. Their joy is stolen. Their memory is blurred. Their worship feels impossible. The enemy’s goal is simple: isolate, accuse, and mock until the captives believes God has forgotten them. That is why the cry "How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?" is so honest. It names what many feel but cannot say: I don’t know how to worship God in this situation of depression and apprehension.

Yet the story never ends in the regions of captivity because Jesus is able to save to the uttermost.
David cried: "The wicked compasseth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged." By the mercies of the Lord, every captive you see in Scripture was eventually vindicated: Israel came out of Babylon. Joshua was given clean robes and a new turban. Job was restored double. David was lifted out of the pit. Why? Because no region of captivity is outside of God’s reach. David declared, "If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there." — Psalm 139:8.

Jesus enters Abaddon, he speaks into Oblivion, in a strange land, he remembers in the land of forgetfulness, and have spoiled principalities and powers. Scripture says in Ephesians 4:8-10

[8]Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
[9]Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
[10]He that descended is the same also that ascended up, with the captive of the mighty and the prey of the terrible, far above all heavens, the regions of spiritual wickedness, that he might fill all things.

If this is you, hear this:
You are not crazy for feeling distant. Captivity is real. Grief, accusation, and spiritual oppression can fragment the soul.
You don’t have to perform. God is not asking for a song from a prisoner. He is asking for honesty. Go down on your knees before God the Father and declare “Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.” — Psalm 130

Deliverance is Now! The same Lord who brought David out of the pit and his soul from the grave, who rebuked Satan for Joshua, who answered Job from the whirlwind and restored double unto him, who brought Israel home from a strange land — is delivering you now from the hands of your captors. You the reader, I declare FREE now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. In the name of Jesus Christ I command every gates of captivity where your soul has been fragmented to open up and I call you out. I see you established in the presence of the Lord in heaven as you read this, Amen.

I want you to Thank God now for your freedom.

Christianity EtcWhy Child Prodigy Lose Their Intelligence At The Age Of Accountability by ocnovakmichael(op): 8:30am On Jun 14
You’ve seen a 6-year-old solves 8-digit math in seconds. A 7-year-old plays piano like a concert master. A 10 -year-old solving calculus at a lightning speed. Then they hit age 15 and that spark fades, what happened?

Kids’ brains are neuroplasticity on maxat ages 0 to 13. At this age a child is capable of learning twenty-dive languages without bulging to the drag of difficulties in learning. They learn fast and could easily recognize patterns because they don’t overthink.

So the question is what happened at 15 that make them to lose their edge? We could attribute this to several factors, some of which are self-awareness, sin awareness, and world-awarness.

Self-awareness: “What if I’m wrong?”
Sin-awareness: Romans 7:9 “When the commandment came... I died.” The conscience wakes up.
World-awareness: School, pressure, fear, identity.

I must underscore here that the child-calculating ability doesn’t get dumber. He just has fear, pride, and self-doubts running on the same mental RAM and his focus breaks.
In Matthew 18'3 Jesus said the kingdom belongs to such as these little ones. Not because kids are smarter but
Because kids trust without earning.

Children from a tender age, before reaching the age of accountability, have the Adamic intelligence before the fall. Adam had the intelligence of the god's that he could name all animals according to their nature and habitat. Adam recognized Eve was taking out from his ribs even when God placed him in a deep sleep, an induced comma so to speak .

Children had that same Adamic intelligence so to speak. They have the wisdom of God at that age but due to neuro plasticity, those children start drifting from the godlike nature to adopt the nature of the falling man. They become self conscious and begin to doubt their own intelligence with respect to world's view. Scripture says, "... as from a child thou has known the holy scriptures which is able to make thee wise..."
Children before the age of accountability are closer to the godlike state. Their spirit is more connected to the godlike state. Paul put it best when he said," once I was alive unto God, but the commandment came and sin revived and I died."
Put somewhat differently, Paul says there was a time he was well in tune with God, but when he got to the age of accountability his spirit got disconnected from God, and he died. This is exactly what God said to Adam in the beginning. "The day you eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you will surely die."

The lackluster tendencies of child prodigies at the age of accountability is because something had died in them. They have lost the godlike spark.

Christianity EtcThe World Cup - a Metaphor for Life by ocnovakmichael(op):
In 1925, Florence Scovel Shinn opened her book "The Game of Life and How to Play It" with a line that reframes everything:
"Most people consider life a battle - but it is not a battle, it is a game."

That sentence is the thesis of this article. Life is a game. The mistake most of us make is assuming we’re the players. I believed it too. I grew up on Joe’s 1997 R&B hit song "Don’t Wanna Be a Player." The culture told me I was one of billions on the field, trying to score, avoid fouls, get a hat trick and win. Shinn’s book initially planted the idea in me: learn the rules, speak affirmations, play well and win. But I was wrong. None of us are players. We are judging the game like a referee.

Speaking of a game, I like to think about football. According to Wiki, the FIFA World Cup is the world's biggest sporting event. It is a quadrennial soccer tournament where 48 national teams compete for the title. With massive global interest, the tournament reaches an all time high viewers quite recently, making it the most-watched and most-followed single sporting spectacle on the planet. Nothing compares to the World Cup when it comes to capturing the global audience. The tournament generates staggering television numbers, with the 2022 event in Qatar drawing an estimated 5.4 billion viewers throughout the competition. The final alone routinely attracts over 1.5 billion people.

In the game of football, there are essentially four components parts or should I say four major personalities just for context. These are the opposing players; twenty-two of them, eleven on each side of the divide; the referee; the pitch; and the spectators.

I need to underscore here that the pitch is your mind, the opposing players are the conpsych and the antipsych or angels and demons, the spectators is the very matrix, the environment you're currently in, while you are the referee.

At every moment in time, you cannot evade a host of eyes waiting for your judgement. You're constantly bombarded with thoughts and suggestions from the conpsych and the antipsych, the angels and demons; and sometimes from the spectators - the environment. Yet you have to pass judgement based on the activity and influence of these players.

Life is indeed a game, but you're not a player - you're deciding the outcome of the game. Like the game of football, it's not a zero sum, rather it is a game of the winner takes it all.

As a referee in the this game of life. Your decision to yield to either the conpsych or the antipsych is a choice that only you can make. At one time, Joshua asked the children of Israel, 'Choose you this day whom you will serve." Joshua had already made up his mind to walk with God. In Paul's letter to the Romans he said, '... to whom you yield yourself servant to obey, his servant you are whom you obey.'

The conpsych is the part of the mind that is with and for you. It is your very own cheerleader cheering you up to make the right decision in the game you're witnessing. The word conpsych is from the root words con which means 'with' and psych which means 'mind.' While the antipsych is the part of the mind that is against you. It's from the root words anti which means against' and psych which means 'mind.' It is the very voice in your head that is ' against you. It's the voice that says you're inept, that you can't make it, that you're not capable of making the right decision that would bring about the right outcome in your life.

Like the game of football, the fans of the home team has a significant influence on the game. Invariably, the spectators of life, the opinion of people, the society, the culture, the environment has a way of influencing both the players and to a certain extent the decision of the referee. But at the end of the day, the power to decide recides in the hands of the referee.

In the final analysis, you have to host the game of life like a referee. You decide who wins your mind, the conpsych or the antipsych, the angels or the demons. Every time you open your phone to watch that pornographic video, you're deciding the game. Every time you're about to spend your income on something frivolous, you're deciding the game. Every time you open your mouth to speak ill about others, you're deciding the game.
This article is an interesting way of looking at every day life choices as a major tournament decision.

Christianity EtcAbraham's Enmeshment- A Precursor to Failure by ocnovakmichael(op):
In this article, we would discuss how enmeshment almost ruin Abraham's chances of becoming a generational blessing.

In clinical psychology and psychotherapy, enmeshment refers to diffuse emotional boundaries where the identities and feelings of family members or partners are overly entangled, often leading to a loss of individual autonomy.

Enmeshment is a derivative of early maladaptive schemas (EMS), which severely hinders a person's self-concept clarity. It stems from a society or culture that has cultivated the collectivist norms in contrast to individualistic norms.

In Genesis 12'1 the LORD said to Abram, get the out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from they father's house, unto a land that I will show thee. Abram was given three surgical precise command. That is, go from your country (Ur), from your people (extended relatives/clan), and from your father's house (Terah's immediate house which Lot was a member). This is an unambiguous instruction, yet we see in Genesis 12'4 that Abram took Lot while he was leaving, clearly defying God's instruction of having no family affiliation. Abram's inadvertent defiance of God's instruction by taking Lot with him create a dysfunction in his life and in tandem delayed God's plan and purpose.

Nevertheless, this is not to discredit Abram's action of engaging in a selfless act of responsibility and obligation to his late brother's son. I need to underscore here that after the death of Haran in Ur, Abram's father Terah started the journey to Canaan but he pitched his tent in Haran and there he died. And after the death of Terah, Abram being the eldest son assume the role of the patriarch, hence the reason he took Lot with him in his journey to Canaan.

From a socio-cultural perspective, taking Lot is a moral duty and an obligation, which is both good and commendable. Yet, this type of behaviour is associated with cognitive dissonance - an attempt to reduce anxiety and friction between conflicting values - in this case God's mission and family ties. The behaviour is a common motive in family enmeshment, where personal boundaries are undifferentiated and over-concern for others becomes both a mental and a physical block to autonomous development. This pattern of behaviour is endemic in African culture, particularly in Nigeria, where parents happiness is contingent on the child's loyalty to family ties. Many a promising young men and women have been brought down economically, morally and mentally in a bid to make "Mama proud"- making them unable to set boundaries and build capacity because they more often than not had to build from where their parents stopped, train their younger ones, sacrifice their income, future, and happiness for a relative peace and collective progress of the family and the kindred by extension.

In life transition, for the individual to build capacity, create autonomy, self-worth, and self-concept, there's a need for differentiation and renegotiation of loyalty and boundaries. This is not in any way advocating that one cut ties with family, rather the need for the individual to build autonomy and self-concept outside the confines of extant family strictures and communism - hence the Greek adage "Man know thyself." Unfortunately, it's impossible for a man to know himself if he cannot differentiate himself - his self-worth from the collectivistic family norms. Murray Bowen's family system theory defines differentiation of self as "the ability to maintain individuality while staying emotionally connected." Minuchin family therapy posited that "when families face new life stages, they need to renegotiate said boundaries." Failure to do so create a dysfunctional rigid systems, dysregulation, and destabilization as evident in the life of Abraham.

God called Abraham alone but he chose to go with Lot. The prophet Isaiah said it best: "Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him" (Isaiah 51'2). Abraham obeyed the geographic and clan separation, but not the "father's household" separation. Scripture says, "A man enemies are those of his own household." This is not to suggest that Lot was an enemy to Abraham, rather that Lot represents the very system God identified as problematic - conflicting values.

A man with conflicting values and undefined loyalty is unstable as water, he cannot excel. The book of James put it best, "... he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." Abraham's ties with Lot caused him to be unstable. Firstly, there was a strife between the servants of Abraham and the servants of Lot - the land could not support them while they stayed together that they had to split up. Secondly, Abraham had to arm his trained servants to rescue Lot from captivity - this slows down God's plan. Thirdly, Abraham had to intercede on behalf of Lot when God wrath was kindled on Sodom. Lot ties with Abraham became a liability, not an asset.

Conversely, there're three steps which Abraham took to break away from enmeshment - to restore God's plan and purpose for his life. Applying these steps in your life will free you from conflicting values and set you on the path to self- concept and personal development. These three steps are identity, differentiation, and boundaries. First, Abraham identified the root cause of the strife between him and his nephew Lot that they both have grown so big economically, socially, and otherwise to stay together in the same land. "... Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between my herdmen and thy herdmen..." Second, Abraham initiated a differentiation of self - an immediate spatial split up with Lot. "Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other." Third, Abraham set a boundary: "Is not the whole land before thee? Separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right..."

After Abraham had this done, scripture says, "And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art..." Abraham delayed God's plan and purpose for his life because he was enmeshed in family ties.

What am I getting at? There's an African adage that says, "it takes a village to raise a child." This concept borders on the idea that a child is independent of his reflection, as such making the family and community a mirror. The problem with this collectivistic ideology is that it exposes the child to a host of opinions from different personality such that the child cannot differentiate his self-concept from family and communal norms. The fact that the child cannot differentiate himself from family ties, the child will continue to experience disregulation and self-doubts. The child's decision for self development and autonomy will always factor in family norms and values thereby delaying the child's capacity to grow independent of the judgement of others: because in others the child sees a community and security. This concept, in the long haul, does not build the child rather it builds the family.

In the final analysis, be careful of who you allow into your life or space when undertaking God's mission or transiting on a life's journey: because an attachment could narrow your chances of growth and self-concept. Abraham took Lot and it nearly muddied the water of God's divine plan, so to speak. Moses took Aaron and Aaron in dire situation makes for the people a golden calf, which brought God wrath on Israel and nearly gets the whole nation wiped out. Paul and Barnabas were separated alone (Acts 13'2), but Barnabas took John Mark, who abandons the mission in Pamphylia causing a sharp rift between Paul and Barnabas thus leading to the breakup of the original team. In Joshua's camp, Achan violated God's command and that led to the defeat of Israel at the battle at Ai.

Attachment can narrow your chances for self-concept.

the Bible you quoted did not even mentioned what you said, Paul never did that! In verse you quoted , but to answer your questions about division, how many so called churches do we have,is it supposed to be like that, and as such,a member of this particular church don't love another member from other churches,so stop hiding under the covers of church, to deceived people, Islam as a topical example, they have one body,
First, let me correct the notion that you negated. Paul in 2 Corinthians called the Church Christ.
2 Corinthians 6:15
[15]And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
Second, it's not the church that's instigating division amongst Christians, rather it's the doctrine of men and the propensity of men to follow after a passive leader (header's mentality).
However, in the book of Ephesians, Paul by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost did not say the body of Christ will be in unison in doctrine, rather, the church will come in the unity of faith. If there's one thing all churches have as a denominator and is our faith in Christ, the doctrine not with standing.
