Religion / Influencing Nigeria's Political Leadership By The Word Of God. by ocnovakmichael(m): 2:28pm On Jun 23, 2022
Listen, and Listen well! You too can influence the political space in Nigeria by simply thinking and acting in line with the Word of God.
The Lord Jesus said, whosoever shall come to me, hear my sayings, and do them is like a wise man.
Matthew 7:24
"24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock."
The only way to act wisely, in influencing Nigeria's polity in order to elect a leader, is by applying wisdom. For wisdom is profitable to direct (Eccl. 10:10). But where can we find this wisdom? It is not in the depth of the sea, neither is it found in the four walls of the university. This wisdom is found in the Word of God (Prov. 8:12).
Therefore, it stands to reason that, acting in line with the Word is acting with wisdom.
What am I getting to? The great citizens of, the giant of Africa, Nigeria are at the precipice of electing a new president, who will lead and steer the country towards development and progress, come 2023.
However, we, as Christians, need to ask ourselves what is the will of God concerning the new president we are all wating for in anticipation to elect into power. We need to ask ourselves what does God say. And the only way to know the will of God concerning the new president is by going into his Word.
Many are ready and willing to vote for a candidate from their ethnic group, but is that the will of God. Also, many are willing to vote enmass for a candidate of their own religious inclination, but is that the will of God.
So what is the will of God concerning the forth coming presidential election?
Proverbs 29:2; 7
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

That texts just got through telling us that when a righteous man is in power the people rejoice. And he considers the affair and state of the poor. But the wicked turn a blind to the sate of his people.
Fellow Nigerians, I'd advice that we take heed to the counsel of God in electing our leaders come 2023.
A wise man once famously said: "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." If we do not learn from our past and current experience of bad leadership in this country, then, come 2023, you and I will repeat and recycle the same crops of leaders. And the state of our country would be none the better, but rather in a dire state.
Let us walk in line with the wisdom of God in electing a new president come 2023. And the candidate must be a righteous man according to that text we just got through reading.
But the question is: who is a righteous man? A man that is morally upright in the society? No. Is he a man who has no criminal or corruption record? No. Then who is a righteous man?
2 Corinthians 5:17;21
" 17 Therefore if any man be IN CHRIST, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.
" 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made THE RIGHTEOUSNESS of God IN HIM."

A righteous man is one who is a new creature in Christ Jesus. He is a believer of the Son of God.
So when deciding who to vote for, scrutinize the aspirant with the above yardstick. I don't care whether he is from your village or a member of your religious inclination, once he is not a rightous man, don't ever vote for him. Remember: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."
So if you, a citizen of Nigeria, don't want to mourn, vote for a righteous candidate. Otherwise, you will mourn and gnash your teeth for the decision you made to vote for an unrighteous man.
You are warned!

Read and send it to other Christians if you please.

Religion / Spirit Consciousness: The Voice Of Your Own Spirit. by ocnovakmichael(m): 1:17pm On May 10, 2022
An excerpt from my book "Spirit Consciousness: how you can be guided by the spirit."

In this article I'll share with you how the Spirit of the Lord taught me about being led by the spirit (our own recreated spirit).
On 20th April 2022, I was meditating on Ephesians 1:11 when the last clause in that Bible text piqued my interest: it says, "... Him (God) who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.
Before I delve in depth in explaining that text, let me explore a side issue here:
You see, over the centuries, pride in skill has been the badge that identifies true craftsmen. Builders of bridges, Painters, Potters, and engravers have left their signatures on their crafts. These signatures are more often preceded by the phrase "Manufactured by... It is well to recall that manufature in its Latin origin means " hand made."
Well that is exactly what Paul was relating to the saints at Ephesus in that text, that: God works according to the counsel of his own will.
But what really is the counsel and the will of the God?
The Greek word counsel is the same translated advice, recommendation. But the question is: who can advice God? Scripture says "... Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God."
No man but the Spirit can advice God.
More over, the Father, the Word, and the Spirit are one (1 John 5:7). Hence the counsel of God.
The will of God is the Word. And the Word
is spirit (John 6:63).
Now what am I getting to? God does nothing without the Spirit and the Word. This is evident in the beginning of creation: the Spirit brood on the face of the waters and God spoke the Word, saying: Let there be... and there was (Genesis 1:3).
Therefore, as God work in accordance with his Spirit, we as sons of God should obey our own recreated spirit.
When we become born again , our own human spirit becomes recreated and receives information from the Holy Spirit and the Word to guide us into doing the will of God (Romans 8:14).
So when we become spirits conscious, we will find out that we are obeying the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16).
Learn to be sensitive to your own recreated spirit. This can be achieved by practicing these steps.
1. Meditating in the Word ( Joshua 1:8; 1 Timothy 4:15; 2 Timothy 3:15).
2. Practicing the Word ( James 2:17; Matthew 7: 24; Proverbs 4:20).
3. Praying in the spirit (1 Corinthians 14:4,14; Jude 20).
4. Obeying the voice of your spirit (Proverbs 20:27; Romans 8:14,16).
Remember, God is the Father of spirits (Hebrews 12:9); and we, His sons, are spirit beings. Therefore, it stands to reason that, spirit beings should learn to listen to the voice of their own spirits, which bear witness with the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16).
Religion / Identifying The Nature Of Your Own Spirit Man by ocnovakmichael(m): 10:55pm On May 02, 2022
This is an excerpt from my new book "Spirit Consciousness: how you can be guided by the spirit."

Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
That text just got through telling us that the human spirit is distinct from the soul; that the spirit and the soul can be divided.
Man has device sophisticated ways of dissecting the human body in the clinical laboratory. But no man, other than the Word of God, could surgically divide the spirit and the soul; because both the spirit and the soul cannot be seen with the human eyes.
So the question is: how can we identify the spirit and the soul? The Bible, the Word of God, tells us how to identify each of them.
Man is fashioned in the image, and after the likeness of God. In the gospel of John, the Lord Jesus said: “GOD IS A SPIRIT: and they that worship him must worship him IN SPIRIT and in truth” (John 4:24). Also, the writer of the book of Hebrews put it this way: “...Shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the FATHER OF SPIRITS, and live?” (Hebrews 12:9).
God is called the Father of spirits, which makes us, His children, spirit beings. And yet, the question is: how do we identify this spirit man? The spirit man is the real man, whose circumcision is that of the heart, that cannot be seen nor felt (Romans 2:29). He’s the man that becomes a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). He is the man that is born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word (1 Peter 1:23). He is the man that houses the Spirit of the Lord (Galatians 4:6). He is the man that bears witness with the Holy Spirit that we are sons of God (Romans 8:16). He is the man that communicates with God (Proverbs 20:27; 1 Corinthians 14:14).
The spirit man receives guidance from the Holy Spirit through the Word of God. The apostle John writing under the anointing of the Spirit said: “But the anointing which ye have received of him [God] abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and IS TRUTH...) (1 John 2:27).
I want you to notice the bold italicized phrase in the last statement: first, John said the anointing [which is the Holy Spirit] teaches you of all things. Second, John said the anointing is truth. The Lord Jesus used the same phrase, which John used to describe the anointing, to describe the Word:
John 17:17
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word IS TRUTH.
From the foregoing, it is self-evident that the Spirit will guide your own recreated spirit man through the Word: because the Spirit and the Word agree (1 John 5:7).
I remember one time on 2nd May 2022, I was talking with a little girl and she was responding to me in an unruly manner. I wanted to pick up a cane or something and teach her a lesson or two, but as I was growing impatient with her attitude, on the inside of me I heard this voice: “It is Impossible but that offences will come.” Immediately, I put a restraint on my train of thought; and recognized that that statement is from the Bible. In the gospel of Luke, the Lord Jesus said: “...It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come” (Luke 17:1).
Now here is the contradiction: I did not receive that Word in my mind: because my mind couldn’t have thought that up in a state of anger. All my mind could think was to give that little girl a weeping. It was my spirit man that picked that up from the Holy Spirit by the Word. Thank God for the Word.
Proverbs 20:27
27 The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts. This means that God is going to enlighten you in your own spirit through the inward witness. When you become a new creature, your spirit becomes an accurate guide in the affairs of life because your spirit is in harmony with the Holy Spirit.

Religion / Wait!!! Your Words Could Do These... by ocnovakmichael(m): 8:09am On Apr 30, 2022
How Words limit people and nations:

Luke 1:37 (ASV)
37 For no word from God shall be void of power.
Ecclesiastes 8:4
4 Where the word of a king is, there is power…
Your words are things. And as such, they have the ability to influence the state, condition of your mind and circumstance. What you say is the result of your understanding. And your understanding is a function of your thought. You will speak the right words to yourself, situations, and to other people if only your understanding is right. And you could only understand right if your thoughts are true, pure, just, honest, and lovely (1 Corinthians 13:11 Philippians 4: cool. The circumstances notwithstanding, the right thought always invariably precedes the right word.
Our beginning texts emphasized a great deal that no word from God is void of power. And since we are spirit beings created in the image and after the likeness of God, a Spirit, our words, also, cannot be void of power.
It stands to reason that, words upon an individual could change the individual’s state of mind and condition; and ultimately change the individual’s life. Words are that powerful.
For the most part, in everyday’s conversation, people use words without understanding the depth and meaning of what they say.
If someone should ask you, have you caught a cold? And you reply, “I’m yet to catch a cold.” Your words suggest that you expect to catch a cold. And you will catch a cold: because expectation is the mother of manifestation.
A man was reported to have never caught a cold. According to this report every time the weather is cold and he noticed symptoms of cold in his body, he simply walks into his bathroom, look straight in the mirror and repeat, severally, the phrase: “I do not have a cold.” And no sooner had he had this done than every symptom of cold would dissipate.
A young man who had limited experience in sales was hired by company X to be a salesman. They weren’t sure whether he would be successful, but they decided to give him a chance. Within six months, he became one of the top salesmen in the company. The board of the company sat him down and enquired of him the secrets of his success, considering the fact that he had little or no experience in the industry.
The young man said, “Every morning when I got into my car, I repeat to myself, I’m the best! I’m the best! I’m the best.’
“I then say, I’m the best salesman in this company. I’m the best salesman in this industry. I’m the best salesman in the business.’
“Before every sales call, I sit in my car and pump myself up by repeating these words, I’m the best in this company. I’m the best in this industry. I’m the best in this country.”’
For many years the Igbo people of South-Eastern Nigeria have been victims of their own words because of an ideology they held onto. The nation Nigeria has three major ethnic nationalities which formed the crust of the political sphere of the country: they are the Hausa’s, the Igbo’s, and the Yoruba’s. The Hausa’s and Yoruba’s have produced successive leaders who have occupied the highest political office in Nigeria, but the Igbo people have never produced any, not since after the Civil War.
Like I pointed out earlier, the Igbo’s are hemmed in by an ideology which they held onto tenaciously. This ideology is the root of their not able to produce a leader for the country. And that Ideology is wrapped in six words, which they affirm vehemently and constantly at any given opportunity. That ideology is: “The Igbo’s do not have a king.”
Say what you want, I believe this claim holds true for the Igbo people of South-Eastern Nigeria.
Whether we know it or not, our words rule us. They could make or mar us. Jesus said they could. In Mark 11:23 Jesus said: “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
Notice the clause, “He [you] shall have whatsoever he [you] saith.” What you say are words and you shall have the words you say whether positive or negative.
Put somewhat differently, what we say are expressed thoughts. And our thoughts are what we expect; and what we expect nearly always manifest itself in the third dimension–the physical, material realm because words are spirit and the spirit is of the fourth dimension: the fourth dimension always influences and dominates the third dimension. For example Job experienced in reality that which his mouth, through his thoughts, affirmed: “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me” (Job 3:25).

The Recreated Spirit

2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
This verse of scripture begins with a hypothetical “If.” The word “If” suggests that there is a condition that must be met before becoming a new creature. And that condition is that you must be in Christ, you must be saved. That is, you must believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and you must confess Jesus as Lord.
The spirit of man is the part of man that is recreated. It is the part of man that receives zoe, which is the nature and life of God. It is the spirit of man that becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus. It is not the soul that is born again neither the body. However, the soul is to be renewed by the Word of God, and the body presented as a living sacrifice unto God, which is the least thing we can do as new creatures.
Galatians 4:5-6
4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
From the foregoing text, it is quite clear that we become new creatures, sons of God, when God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our own spirit.
But let us go back to where it all began, in the gospel of John
John 14:16-17
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dweleth with you, and shall be in you.
In the 17th verse of John chapter 14, the Lord Jesus made two interesting statements concerning the operations of the Holy Spirit. He said the Spirit shall dwell with you, and shall be in you. In other words, you shall have two experiences of the operations of the Spirit.
The operation of the Holy Spirit in you is established when you receive salvation, eternal life, and you’re born again (John 4:14). While the operation of the Holy Spirit dwelling with you is established when you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost: an experience subsequent to salvation (John 7:37).
Now let us see these two experiences of the operations of the Spirit in the lives of the disciples of Christ:
John 20:22
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.
After Jesus ascended unto God the Father and entered in once into the holy place and offered his blood to obtain eternal redemption for mankind (Hebrews 9:12), he appeared to his disciple and said: “Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on his disciples, and said “Receive ye the Holy Ghost.”
Jesus has paid the price of eternal redemption for mankind by his blood, so at this point after the ascension, he is able to impart eternal life unto man. The disciples received this eternal life when Jesus breathed on them and said: receive ye the Holy Ghost. This experience, of recreating the spirit unto eternal life, is the first operation of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the disciples.
In the 2nd chapter of the book of Acts we find something else very interesting:
Acts 2:1-4
1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
2And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Before the Lord Jesus was received by a cloud, the second time, into heaven, he said to his disciples: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me...” (Acts 1:cool.
Notice the phrase “After that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.”
Jesus did not say: after that the Holy Ghost is come in you, no. He said: after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. Or we can put it this way, after that the Holy Ghost dwells with you. Why? Because they, the disciples, had already received the Holy Ghost in them. So now the Holy Ghost is come upon or dwell with them.
The 3rd and 4th verses of Acts chapter 2 say: and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
With those two experiences, Jesus fulfilled his promise that the Spirit will be in you and will dwell with you (John 14:17).
This experience, of the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, is the second operation of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the disciples. This is also the reality of everyone born again child of God. The first operation of the Spirit is received when we confess Jesus is Lord of our lives and believes in our hearts that God raised him from the dead. The second operation is subsequent to salvation. It is received when we thirst for the Spirit (John 7: 37).
When your recreated spirit receives the enduement of the Spirit from on high, that is, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, you become more pliable to yield to the leading of the Spirit of God. You become more spirit-conscious.

In this article I would love to share chapter one of my new book "Spirit Consciousness" with all and sundry.
[/br]
I Thessalonians 5:23
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Man is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a physical body. With his spirit man contact the spirit world. With his soul man contact the intellectual world. And with his body man contact the physical, material world. The real man, a spirit, is an eternal being, he can never die: though the physical body may decay, yet the man on the inside endures for eternity (2 Corinthians 4:16).
In our beginning text, the apostle Paul began that verse by listing man based on revelation knowledge: from the eternal to the ephemeral; from the inside, the innermost part of man, the heart of his being, his spirit, to the outside of man, his physical body.
Yet a myriad of people, even good Christians, misquote that verse. They say, body, soul, and spirit. Why do they put the body first? It is because they are more body and mental-conscious than spirit-conscious. Natural and intellectual things have taken pre-eminence over spiritual things in their lives. So they put physical and mental things first.
But we have always been, and always will be: first in one form, then in another. We were first spirit beings before we became living souls with physical bodies (Genesis. 2:7). Spiritual things will become more real to us the more spirit-conscious we become.
If we are going to be guided by our own recreated spirit, we must become more spirit-conscious, or we'll miss out on the whole thing. God's Spirit leads us through our own recreated spirits.
Put the things of the spirit first. Become more spirit-conscious, more conscious of your own recreated spirit, which receives his information from the Holy Spirit. Realize that you are a spirit being, and that you became a new creation created by God in Christ Jesus. It will help you grow–spiritually.
It‘s always save to say, using the first person singular nominative pronoun, that: I am a spirit being. I have a soul. I live in a physical body. Therefore, I have the greater one on the inside of me.
Saying that will help you become more spirit-conscious, that you will look to your spirit before making certain decisions: because your spirit, by the Holy Spirit, has become a safe guide.
Being spirit-conscious, that is, putting spiritual things first is the most important thing in life. Most times we are hemmed in by the business of mundane things in life. And these things do little to help us grow spiritually. For instance, we hear the Word, receive Jesus into our spirit, but refuse to attend to his leading.
At one time, the Lord Jesus visited Mary and Martha in their home, Martha was busy fixing what she would give the Lord, and her sister Mary sat at the Lord’s feet, and heard his word. Remember, Jesus said: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).
In other words, Mary put the things of the spirit above all else. She’s spirit-conscious, while her sister, Martha, was conscious of natural things.
Luke 10:38-42
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken from her.
Notice Jesus said: “But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part.”
What is that good part that Mary chose? She heard Jesus’ spirit cloven word (verse 39).
When you obey your own recreated spirit, you will find that you are obeying the Holy Spirit; because the Spirit himself bear witness with your own recreated spirit (Romans 8:16). But what does scripture mean when it says: the Spirit bear witness with your own spirit? It means your own recreated spirit agree with the Spirit of the Lord. It means whatever your own recreated spirit tells you, that’s the inward witness leading you (Romans 8: 14).
I remember one time in 2021; I had desired to preach in a certain street in Ilorin, North Central, Nigeria. I had studied the Word and it was burning like a coal of fire in my spirit. But when a got to the street, I couldn’t say a word. I walked from one end to another end of the street with my mouth shut. The desire was there, but I couldn’t open my mouth to preach to a soul that very day. This astounds me until the Spirit of the Lord brought two scriptures to my remembrance: “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth…” “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Romans 9:16, Philippians 2:13), then I realized I was forbidden of the Spirit to preach the Word in that street that very day.
An intelligent person might ask: doesn’t God want the people in that street to hear the gospel and be saved? Of course, He does. As a matter of fact, in second Peter chapter three, the ninth verse, scripture says: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” But God knows the heart of men; He knows when they are ready to receive the Word: so that His Word does not fall on deaf ears.
For instance, when Paul took with him a certain disciple named Timotheus to preach in Asia, they were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the Word. They both sailed into Mysia, determined to preach the Word at Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not (Acts 16:6-7). Now this text did not say Paul had a vision forbidden him not to preach, neither did it say Paul experienced supernatural manifestation of any sort where the Lord warned him not to preach, no.
Paul was not led in his own spirit to preach. He had the desire to preach because in I Corinthians 9:16 he exclaimed: “…Yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” But in Mysia he could not preach the gospel. He had a check in his spirit. His spirit was sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit telling him not to preach. It was at Troas that the Lord showed him a vision of a man of Macedonia, saying to him: come over into Macedonia, and help us.
Acts 16:8-9
8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.
9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; there stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
It was at Philippi a city of Macedonia that Paul cast out the spirit of divination from a certain damsel, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying. It was in the same city Paul and Silas were thrust into inner prison, and at midnight they prayed and sang praises unto God; and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundation of the prison were shaken, and all doors were opened, and fetters of all the prisoners were loosed.
In the 33rd chapter of Ezekiel we find a striking similarity of the operation of the Spirit:
Ezekiel 33:21-24
21And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.
22 Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, afore [before] he that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.
23 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
24 Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.
In the Old Testament, the hand of the Lord is the Holy Ghost. That means that the Holy Ghost wasn’t upon Ezekiel in the morning or at midday: he had no leading whatsoever. The Holy Ghost came upon him the evening before someone escaped and came to see him. Ezekiel went around all night with his mouth open, never saying a word. He was silent, forbidden to speak, until that fellow came to him; only then was his mouth opened, and he was no longer dumb. Then the Lord told him to speak to the inhabitants of the wastes land of Israel.
When we obey the voice of our spirit, through the Holy Spirit, the results are marvellous. I remember one time during my Masters programme; I was in campus to see my supervisor on issue bothering on my thesis defence. As I approached my department I seem to have this inner urging to go to the large lecture hall adjacent to our department. On a second thought, I said to myself, this is not what I have come to school to do today; I am here to see my supervisor.
And yet, I saw myself matching toward that large lecture hall. When I got there, I asked the Spirit why He brought me there, but there was no response whatsoever. Notwithstanding, I sat down and began to read a book on my laptop. I think I was there from somewhere around 9 am through 12 pm waiting to get a leading whether to preach to some students I saw in the hall but there was no leading in this direction. By somewhere around some minutes to 1pm I got up and decided to go see my supervisor because he resumes by 10 am but wouldn’t be in school until somewhere around 1 pm or 2pm.
As I was headed toward the department my course changed I saw myself going toward the school gate through a corridor I did not intend. I seem to have the leading that there is somebody I am directed to talk to or preach to.
Anyway, as I was somewhere near the bus park, I saw a young man sitting alone in the garden near the park, it were as if I was drawn toward him, his countenance seems to be beckoning on me. So I yielded to the leading and ask the young man if I can share the Word of God with him. He obliged me and I began telling him about salvation and the need to surround himself with people of like faith. Suddenly, I began teaching this young man about believers’ authority. This was not what I intend to talk about, but the more I delve into the subject, it seems like I was unearthing certain issues this young man have been trying to overcome in his life. He told me how he has been trying to overcome masturbation and friends that usually influence him to practice fetish means of getting money.
However, while that young man was still busy talking about his worst nightmares, I muse under my breath these words: “Now I know the reason why the Lord brought me to this young man at this hour.” So I prayed with him and took authority over the spirit of masturbation and spirit of lying, and commanded them to stop their operations, and to take their hands off him in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I told him to watch out because those two spirits would try to come back and feast on his ignorance of the Word (Luke 11:24-26). But he should command them to leave in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And I taught him about his right to the use of Jesus’ name and how to keep his deliverance.
The last time I talked with him he was strong in the faith and on fire for God.
Friend, as a new creature in Christ, when you become spirit-conscious, your actions and words agree with the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit at the Marriage in Cana.
The whole essence of exercising our recreated spirit is to discern the move of the Spirit.
When we are in the company of the Holy Ghost we are empowered to witness Christ effectively. In Acts 1:8 Jesus told his disciples that they shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon them; and they shall be witnesses unto him in the world.
Now let me explore a side issue here: You see, until believers are filled with the Holy Ghost they could only do little to influence the world to Christ. Until Peter was filled with the Holy Ghost, he couldn't witness Christ even before a slave girl.
However, being filled with the Holy Ghost endue us with the Spirit of power, love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1: 6-cool.
Let me show vividly from the scripture that until we are Spirit filled we do little to bring souls to the kingdom. Now I did not say without being filled we cannot win souls to christ, no. What I'm saying is that our propensity and ability to win souls to Christ is amplified when we are filled.
When we are filled and are led by the Spirit we become more daring than cautious in witnessing Jesus.
What am I getting to? At the marriage in Cana, the Jesus gave us a rather metaphorical significance of being filled with the Holy Ghost.
On 6th January 2022, I was meditating on the gospel of John chapter 2 from verse five through 8. And the inward witness said did you notice that the first miracle the Lord did at Cana was type of the infilling of the Holy Spirit in the life a believer?"
Those worlds piqued my interest because I have never thought of that when studying that passage.
John 2:5-8
5) His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
6) And there we're set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7) Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
cool And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
Let us stop and analyse that text with carful consideration:
Those six waterpots of earthen clay, which were set-apart after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, are a type of believer purified by the blood of Jesus and set apart. Jude 1 put it best "...To them that are SANCTIFIED by the Father, and PRESERVED in Christ, and are called."
Again, the six earthen waterpots infer that we are formed and fashioned from earth " But we have this treasure in EARTHN VESSELS..." (2 Corinthians 4:7).
The water that used in filling those vessels of earth is a type of the Holy Ghost. "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will POUR OUT MY SPIRIT upon all flesh..." (Joel 2:28). The phrase pour our my spirit infer to send forth in the form of water. The gospel of John put it this way "He that believeth on me, as scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow RIVERS OF LIVING WATER. But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive..." (John 7:38-39).
At the marriage in Cana notice Jesus did not command those servants to draw out of those six waterpots and bear unto the governor of the feast until those earthen vessels were filled with water to the brim and overflows.
This is likened to the very words of Jesus: that of them who believe shall flow rivers of LIVING WATER.
In the final analyses, we can clearly see that the infilling of the Holy Ghost makes us a blessing to the world like the water that was bear to the governor of the feast.
When we are filled with the Spirit, we can be led by the Spirit.

How you can exercise your own spirit to discern the things of the Spirit
Hebrews 5:14
"But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
In order to be led by the Spirit, it's imperative that we exercise our spiritual senses to discern the things of the spirit.
Exercising your spiritual senses is tantamount to exercising and/or training your own spirit.
You see, no athlete, however gifted or talented, could compete favourably without the best practices in fitness and mental exercises. In a similar vein, no believer, however religious, could profit from the things of the spirit without exercising his or her spirit.
Why? Because the things of the spirit are not mentally discerned but are spiritually discerned. The natural man cannot understand them: they are foolishness to him (I Corinthians 2:14; 1 Corinthians 14:14).
Man is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a body. With his spirit man contact God. With his soul, man contact the intellectual world. With his body, man contact the physical, material world.
God does not communicate with us in our minds. Proverbs 20:27 says "The spirit of man is the candle of Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly." This means that God is going to communicate to our own spirits through the inward witness.
But if our spirits are not trained, we would not be able to discern when the Spirit is leading.
The good news is that we can exercise our spirits by following some scriptural rules. And as we obey our recreated trained-exercised spirits, we will discover we are obeying the Holy Spirit.
Here are five simple scriptural rules to exercise your spirit:
1. Meditating in the Word.
2. Practicing the Word.
3. Giving the Word first place.
4. Praying in tongues
5. Obeying the voice of your recreated spirit.

These five steps will galvanized our spirits to be sturdy in discerning the things of the spirit.
Notwithstanding, we know by experience that exercising the body a day or two never amount to anything in building the muscles, but consistent exercise always invariably does the work. Similarly, practicing those five steps a day or two will only salve your conscience. But if you want to train your spirit, you must consider these steps at every inch of the way daily.
1. Meditating in the Word.
The importance of quiet meditation in the Word cannot be exhausted. When we are in church, the Word is read and taught, but if we do not, at anytime to suit our convenience, meditate in what was read and taught, it would develop wings, go out the other ear, like a bird.
That is what the apostles had to do everytime when Jesus gives a parable in public, they always Invariably ensure to ask him in private the meaning of what he said.
Mark 4:10
"And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable."
The most deeply spiritual people are those who set out time for meditation. No man can develop spiritual wisdom by living anyhow. It is by meditation that we build up our spirits in strength.
Small wonder that, Paul advised the young minister Timothy to give attendance to meditation.
1 Timothy 4:15
"Meditate upon these things; five thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all."
In other words, you cannot profit in the things of the spirit without meditating in the Word.
God told Joshua to meditate in the book of the law and do all that is therein that he may prosper and have success.
2. Practicing the Word.
Practicing the Word simply entails doing what the Word says do. The Word says give, then you give. The Word says forgive, then forgive: I don't care what the offence may be, forgive. The Word says communicate to your pastors, then do it. The Word says, receive the communion, practice it.
3. Giving the Word First place.
Before taking any decision, ask yourself what does the Word say. In proverb the 4th chapter the 20th through the 22nd verses, God told us how we are to attend to his Word.
What we think aboitba thing is immaterial, it is what God says about it that's what count.
4. Praying in tongues.
When we speak in tongues, we communicate directly to God through our spirits.
This process of praying make our spirits receptive to the voice of God (1 Corinthians 14:14).
5. Obeying the voice of your recreated spirit.
When you are born again, you are a new creature. Your spirit have been recreated by the indwelling of the Spirit of God (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 4: 5-7).
When you obey the voice of your own recreated spirit, you're obeying the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16). Your spirit gets its information from the Holy Spirit and transmit it to your own spirit ( Proverbs 20:27). So your own spirit is a safe guide in spiritual things and in the affairs of life.
Learn to be spirit-conscious, for in so doing you will be led by the Spirit.

Man is constantly being led by a force. He is led either by force of good or of evil.
In 1 Corinthians 12:2 scripture says the Gentiles were led to serve dumb idols. However, Romans 8:14 says the sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. Romans 6:16 is the clincher: it says to whom you yield yourself servant to obey, his servant you are: whether to sin (or the devil) that result to death, or to obedience (or the Holy Spirit) that result to life.
God is a spirit (John 4:24); and the Father of spirits (Hebrews 12:9). It stands to reason that we his children are spirit beings.
Man is a spirit, he has a soul, and lives in a physical body. So as spirit beings that we are, we are more influenced by forces in the spirit realm than we are forces in the physical, material realm.
Sitting in your chair reading this article now is a person whose surrounding is dominated by unseen forces, good and evil, suggesting thoughts into your head. God put thoughts into and by your spirit (Proverbs 20:27), while the devil put thoughts into and through your mind (2 Corinthians 4:4).
You see, there are many kinds of voices, human and spirits, seen and unseen, suggesting thoughts into your head, each voice has its own significance whether good or evil.
1 Corinthians 14:10
There are, it may be so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
For instance, if you turn on the piece of radio on your mobile phone or in your house, and tune in to a known frequency, you will hear the broadcast beamed from a remote location. You where able to hear the voice in the broadcast because you tuned in to that frequency modulo. Well, spiritual voices transmit thoughts into your head via same principle. If you tune in to the voice of God, you will yield to his Spirit. And if you tune in to the prince of the power of the air, the god of this world, you will yield to his demons.
But how can you know if you're being led by the Spirit of God?
1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (agree).
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
When you are being led by the Spirit of God, your action and words are in line with God's Word; and the peace of God sorround your heart and mind. Why? Because the Spirit and the Word agree. The leading of the Lord is always and primarily through the inward witness, in your spirit (Romans 8:16).
For instance, when Paul, Silas, and Timothy got to Asia, the Spirit forbade them from preaching the gospel (Acts 16:6-10).
That text did not say Paul had a vision, nor did it say one of them prophesied, warning of the danger lurking in preaching the gospel at Asia, no.
Paul like the rest of his crue members had a check in their spirits, an inward witness nudging them not to preach the gospel.
However, when they got to Troas, God gave Paul a vision of a man of Macedonia, urging him to come help them. That is all the cue and leading Paul needed to know that God want him to preach to the people of Macedonia.
An intelligent person might ask, doesn't God want the people at Asia to hear the Word and be saved? Yes He does. As a matter of fact, in Ezekiel God said He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. And in 2 Peter 3:9 He said it is His will that all may come to repentance.
Nevertheless, God knows the hearts of men. He knows when they will be receptive to His Word: so that his words does not fall on deaf ears.
I remember one time I was walking around a certain institution of learning, on the floor was a woman with bandages around her feet. She was asking arms from the students.
As I got to where this woman was, I was impressed in my spirit to go lay hands on her and pray for her healing. I obeyed the leading, I did, and the Holy Spirit did; the rest is history.
She stood up on her feet and walked. And since that day she's never come to that spot to beg again. Praise God.
Oddly enough, while I was praying for that woman, I never knew somebody else whom I'm not acquainted with was praying for me also. I met a young man on the way after praying for that woman, who stopped me and said that he saw me praying for that woman's healing and he began praying for me.
Well, we both made tremendous power available that that woman was healed.
When we yield to the leading of the Spirit, our action and words are lined up with the Word; and peace surround our every action.

Religion / SUT: Think And Speak Correctly by ocnovakmichael(m): 7:47pm On Apr 25, 2022
SUT: speak understand thought. What we say is the result of our understanding, and our understanding is a function of our thought. If your thoughts are right, you will understand right. If your understanding is right, you will speak right.
In other words, the right thought always invariably precedes the right word. That is, you will speak the right words to things, to others, to circumstances, to yourself if your thoughts are right.
Words are things. And as such they have the ability to change things, influence people, and transform your life.
But what kind of words could do the above? The right words that proceeds from the right thoughts.
1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Paul said he spoke as a child because his thoughts were as that of a child. His speech was contingent upon his thought. Invariably, what he say influenced his life negatively that is why he exposed the error in his speech that resulted from the error in his thoughts.
A spiritual law that is evident in our lives but realized by a relatively few people is that our words, as things, rule us. They could make or mar us. Jesus said they could. In Mark 11:23 the Lord Jesus said: " For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith."
Notice the clause " He (you) shall have whatsoever he saith. "
What you say are words; and you shall have what you say whether positive or negative.
Over two thousand years ago, the Lord Jesus dispatched his disciples, seventy of them in number, into community and every city where he would go. But before they left he commanded them to say certain words in whatsoever house they enter. Those words are altogether thirty-five words.
Jesus said those words would do three things wherever they are sent: they would change things, influence people, and transform the live of the one who spoke them.
Now let us consider those transformational words commanded by the master
Luke 10:5-6
5) And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, peace be unto this house.
6) And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.
Notice the clause "Your peace shall rest upon it." That is, your peace shall rest upon the man and upon the house itself.
What? Does the master know what he is saying, or are these the words of a day dreamer? Because he just got through saying words are things. They could move, they could effect change, they could transform life.
At every conversation, let your words be in line with the Word of God. For no word of God is without power.
Think on things that are true, honest, pure, virtue, good report. And as you do and speak you will effect tremendous change in your life and in the life of people around you.

Every man is led by a force. It is practically impossible to act without being led by a force. Men are led spiritually as well as physically. Whether you know it or not is immaterial; the fact that you're acting in a certain way implies that you're being led by a certain force.
Jeremiah 10:23
O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
1 Corinthians 12:2
Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away by theses dumb idols, even as ye were led.
Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Scriptures say that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word should be established. Well, those three scriptural references just got through telling us that the way of a man is not in himself. That men are led either by force of good or of evil.
The 19th century natural philosopher and mathematician Sir Isaac Newton corroborated this view in his dissertation on the subject of the law of motion. He espoused that: " A body at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line, will continue to be at rest until exerted upon by external force.
In other words, force is indispensable where motion is necessary.
Over two thousand years ago, before Sir Isaac Newton postulated his laws of motion, the Lord Jesus gave us a rather metaphorical insight how a force can alter the state of a man.
Luke 11:21-22
21) when a stronger man keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace.
22) But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divided his spoils.
Put somewhat differently, a stronger force will always invariably offset a weaker force. When a man is led by an evil force, when he receive salvation, the Holy Spirit knocks off that spirit that is in him.
You see, in physical as well as spiritual realms man cannot maintain neutrality. Man cannot be void of a force. As the saying goes: "Horror vacui" nature abhors a vacuum. Man cannot afford not to be led by a force. He is either led by force of good, the Spirit of God or force of evil, the devil.
Just as man's physical body play host to micro organisms, so does it play host to spirits. Man is a spirit. And as such he is more influenced by the spiritual realm than the physical realm.
Romans 6:16
Know ye not, that to whom yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin (or the devil) unto death, or of obedience (to the Holy Spirit) unto righteousness.
You see, just as you tune your radio to a certain frequency to listen in to the broadcast, so every man is led per time by the spirit to whom he yield himself servant to obey.
