(For those who would care to read).

Right from my childhood, all my parents trained me not to do, the same things I have never done, and will never do. Things like betting, alcoholism, and other vice. Though as I grow, I have tried to sort things out by myself, and understand things by myself, I've never done any those things I was trained not to do. I only research and wait to understand things by God's grace, before taken any action. In the course of these researches, I've found "WHY CHRISTIANS DON'T BET". Below are my reasons:

Point 1. Betting is gambling, and gambling is foolish.
Ephesians 5 : 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
All you have, including yourself belongs to God. Do you think that God wants you to gamble with His money?

Point 2. Betting is indirect robbery.
Proverbs 10 : 2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. 3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
You try to win the money and belonging of another, that is wickedness.

Point 3. It is "trying to get rich quick".
The Bible says in Proverbs 28 : 22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

Point 4. It is "getting money without labor".
Proverbs 13 : 11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

If you are caught in the webs if betting, I'll advice you to repent because "BETTING IS SIN!"

Gibberish. All the quoted verse has nothing to do with betting, you just find some Bible verses to suit your feelings. That you don't like it doesn't mean it a sin for other people. You are really confused. Life is all a bet! No assurance of anything in life coz life owes no one shit!

I bet, yes I do. I'm not addicted to it. I can never use what I can't afford to lose on betting. And if I lose, I don't chase my loss. 100 naira bet is enough for me. And if I win, I use it to meet needs. I hardly go 2 months without winning. Addiction can be of any form. From food to sex, can be anything. For you it's a sin, for me it's fun and it's not sin.
