This post you are about to read is from a friend. Look at it with an unbiased mind and it should be clear that all the stories trying to link Dame P. with these deaths are both cruel and illogical. I received a number of BBs that explicitl...ystate that it was the First Lady's VIP movement that was directly responsible for the crash... Dear friends, this is NOT TRUE! Here are a few objective facts to buttress my point: I disembarked from the SAME plane @ about 2pm that afternoon when it arrived into Abuja. If we allow about 50mins for passengers to disembark and get the plane cleaned, refueled and re-loaded, it would have taken off back to Lagos @ c.2.50pm. The crash happened at about 3.43pm - about 3mins to landing. The flight time for that route (which I do @ least 2ce a week) is 55mins. Meaning that sadly, the ill-fated flight was into its 52nd/53rd minute when it went down. Where therefore do the 2hrs waiting for VIP movement come in?? My dear friends, it is important that we do not make the situation any worse for the bereaved by spewing out lies. Many of you know that whilst I do what I do, I am no Govt appointed FB praise singer. I am writing this as an independent who was privy (1st hand) to some of the tragic realities of the day. May Good Lord have mercy on the souls of the departed. |
Choi. Nigerians and flawed logic. According to reports, the pilot sent a distress call of "mayday mayday mayday" and then lost touch with the tower's radar. This has nothing to due to VIP movements or shutting of the airport for the first lady. Many of u should be ashamed for playing politics and trying to score cheap political points with the death of hundreds of people. |
I was at Oriental Hotel on Saturday during Dame's program and there was a mad holdup around d Lekki axis as a result. Conspiracy theorists should get busy and stop the blame game |
Press Release From Office Of The First Lady: Politicizing The Dana Crash Our attention has been drawn to the orchestrated plan to politicize the Sunday Dana Air crash in Lagos in which many people lost their lives, through rumours about the possible cause of the accident citing VIP movement involving the wife of the President. We consider it callous, inhuman and devilish for anyone to have thought of wrapping such national calamity in political garb by insinuating that the plane crashed because the airspace was closed for the First Lady's movement in Lagos. For the avoidance of doubt, the First Lady arrived Lagos at about 2pm on Saturday, 2nd June, 2012 for a private engagement and was billed to leave for Abuja on Monday, 4th June, 2012. In compliance with her itinerary, the First Lady arrived Lagos on Saturday. She was at a public event on Sunday when the accident occurred and promptly abandoned the ceremony as a mark of respect for the victims and retired to the State House, Marina. She left Lagos at exactly 13.15hrs on Monday, 4th June, 2012, according to schedule. It is therefore surprising that some mischievous persons will see this moment of National mourning as an opportunity to blackmail and impugn the First Lady's integrity. This is the time for all Nigerians to be sober and pray for the repose of the souls of the victims and not a time to subordinate the interests of our nation to narrow self-serving interests. Let us all put the interest of the Nation first in whatever we do. Mrs. Jonathan had no intention to travel on Sunday and never did. Like all Nigerians, she has been mourning the dead. Signed Ayo Osinlu Special Assistant to the President Office of the First Lady |

sorry to say but the Album wasnt bad. however, 9ice's dpuble album released last year made more waves than this 2face's album. i remember i couldnt get 9ice's albums to buy that same day cos every vendor complained that the albums had sold out. he even trended on twitter for mre than a week. it is disheartening that 2face's singles aint rocking already but fact is, his music would grow on us. its a pity that Nigerians are killing good music. if it had been Wizkid who released an album, it would hve been everywhre. the only musicians we have in Nigeria are 2face, Asa, 9ice, Darey, Mode9, Sound Sultan,Nneka and of all dose mentioned, only 9ice and 2face have had commercial success. mediocrity reigns in the music industry |
i wonder why some people are so daft.9ice is one of the 5 best Nigerian musicians, his last double albums sold out, he had a Sold out SOLO CONCERT on March 11, he has won International and local awards, he has more followership and he is a better singer and more popular than flavour. he toured the whole of Europe and Asia last year, the fact that 9ice doesnt hype himself and make noise doesnt mean he is not a very big artiste. Let Flavour release an Album like Bashorun Gaa/Versus first, Win MOBO and MTV awards before he can be spoken of in the same mould as 9ice. And i am Ibo |
dumb show in the mking. and did she say she made 9ice? oedinary Olamide, she couldnt manage. now had to use the house 9ice rented for her to show off in the promovideo. calls herself a role model; to whom ![]() |
Gbawe: And what the Zap are folks like you going to do about it? You think great nations got to where they are today with dithering citzens who sit on the fence and condemn everyone? Every Nigerian ,as much as possible, should get involved and shape the political party they support to become what they feel it should be.the A.C.N isnt a better party than the PDP. stop saying bullcrap. the days of ACN propaganda are over as people are wiser |

Mo’Hits pair D’Banj and Don Jazzy are on the brink of splitting up due to creative and personal differences. A source close to both parties has revealed that the relationship between the two is now so fractured that Don Jazzy has since moved out of the mansion they once shared in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. Don Jazzy, according to the source, has become so frustrated with D’banj’s lifestyle, tantrums and unmanageable ego that he refuses to work with him. D’Banj, for his part, feels Don Jazzy is spending more time honing the careers of the Mo Hits fledglings such as D’Prince and Dr. Sid. He has also accused Don Jazzy of delaying his album release by giving “excuse after excuse.” “D’Banj has an album due this year,” the source said. “He wants Don Jazzy to spend all his time working on his own album. Can you believe that Don Jazzy spent only two days working on Wande’s new singles?” The source added that D’banj has also made several disparaging remarks about some of the Mo’Hits crew who he calls “backup singers.” He has also made several less than complimentary comments about Don Jazzy who he accused of going around in “pyjamas and t-shirts.” Bad blood, GOOD Music Although tensions have simmered between the once inseperable maestros for about two years, things went quickly downhill last year following the deal signed with G.O.O.D music, Kanye West’s record label. An investigation revealed that the terms of the agreement are far more in favour of the producer, Don Jazzy, a realization which has irked the artist. The source confirmed the disparity in the deal’s structure and revealed that D’Banj’s involvement is peripheral which has led to major problems between the two. The deal also involves a financial commitment of up to $3M, which Mo’Hits has not yet fully made up. “When we all celebrated the deal last year, little did we know that it was really Don Jazzy that was being signed up,” the source said. “While Don Jazzy has already produced a track for G.O.O.D Music, D’Banj is just waiting around idly.” Cracks in the duo’s relationship became apparent last year when both of them arrived and sat separately to several awards ceremonies. In the past, the two had always shown a very unified stance in public. Politically poles apart D’Banj, real name Dapo Oyebanjo, has come under fire from fans in recent months following his perceived nonchalance to the fuel subsidy and Occupy Nigeria protests. In a recent interview, the artist dismissed the criticism, saying that he was busy shooting a new video at the time the protests broke out. Don Jazzy, on the other hand, quickly identified with the masses by stating his displeasure with the Goodluck Jonathan administration on his Twitter page. The news of the impending separation will come as a major shock to millions of devoted fans who have come to identify the one with the other. Any hopes of reaching reconciliation have been dashed according to the source who said that the pair can no longer work together. “Things are so bad now that there are many shows that D’Banj does where he does not remit any money to Mo’Hits,” the source said. “He accuses Don Jazzy of being too laid back and not attending meetings and negotiations but still feels entitled to collect fifty percent.” The source added that Sunday Are, who used to represent the duo, now only works exclusively for Don Jazzy after D’Banj turned his back on him. “The only people he is really close with now are Ikechukwu and Bankuli,” the source said. It remains to be seen what the long term implications are for the Mo’Hits record label but D’Banj has wasted no time in launching his own record label which he plans to release his album on. http://dailytimes.com.ng/article/dbanj-don-jazzy-split |

I find this arguments so unnecessary. Only fools would argue or fight over religion. Its a pity that many of the Christians here standing up for Christ and thew Muslims fighting for Allah are morally inept. Many of you are what you are because of the family you were born into. Shut up abd find better things to do. And all you Christians with the Holier than thou attitude, how much have you effected your environs with goodwill after , u go to church every sunday and always appear pious. You Muslims pray 5 times a day but are violent; clearly a negation of the teaching of the Holy Qutan. You all should find something constructive to do with your lives and let God fight for himself. God is not dead. |
bulksms247:you can come on the Internet and sya what you like. the fact is there is no viable option to the PDP and they would continue ruling Nigeria for as long as possible. the ACN and other mushroom parties can go on whinning about rigging. |
you are wrong. the ACN thrives on propaganda and people are getting wiser by the day |
