isnit funny most comment here leave justice to GOD simply becos our reliance on the police cum govt. had completely broken down where by we refused to obey common law laid down for us. in any sane society there are laid down rule of law guiding individual/societal conduct, all these are now absent in nigeria to be replaced by jungle justice. need i say GOD know best. |

Nigera@52 has done greatly.. Surviving the civil war, coming out of several years of military misrule to a democratic dispensation and our still coexistence despite many intrigues to distabilise her entity are worth applauding. I won't join the fray of comparison. Be it with Singapore or any other nation. The course and destiny of nations varies and the factors enhancing and militating against individual nations are not same across boards. In as much as I agree that the nation ought to have made more progress at this stage of her existence, I must also acknowledge that we are not where we used to be 13 years ago.. Democracy is advancing, electorate awareness and electoral system cleansing is increasing, the economy is gradually growing, a lot of reforms are ongoing, corruption is on the decline( cross checks your facts, just recently the Transp intl commented on the countries drive to fight this menace as second to the US), more people are learning to understand how to draw the line between religion and reality so I foresee more tolerance and peaceful coexistence etc... You may choose to believe anything about the country but in my little assessment, there is hope and the framework for a greater economic emancipationu ve set a very low standard for that stupid boy called nija. |

Congratulations, I can see you managed to list about seven sewage treatment plants. Just seven in the whole of Nigeria!!! Assuming all the ones above are fully functional, isn't that ironically 'better' than India's 162 sewage plants? What I'm trying to say here is that sewage plants are very alien to Nigerian cities. This is the main reason most houses have stand-alone soak-aways. In a more developed setting, Nigeria should be making huge profits from central sewage processing. Remember the DMT saying, s**t business is serious business. Back to the topic, I think you should agree with me to an extent that most Nigerian cities lack central sewage processing centres. Therefore, India is still far ahead of Nigeria in sewage management. Gbaaam!!!hey bro u are so right on point. was working just around 2004/5 in abj. mass housing project , gwarinpa/kubwa axis.then, abuja master plan had sewage processing plan built in, @ that time i can authoritatively confirm el rufai refused to approve the plan cos according to him the bill was in the billions govt. couldnt afford it. when we dont invest in the fuuture, i guess shalanga will continue to be part of our buildg cost. |
