In a sane world, no body has just one name.
The family is the smallest unit of human interactions and an emotional centre of sorts.

We'd all be lost if we had no family to identify with, which explains the reasons a sane human would normally crave for a sense of belonging....

Now this family you belong to has a name, that is first and foremost, who you are.

Which is why you don't hear people like Khloe Kardashian saying, "I am a Khloe"...but you can hear her saying "I am a Kardashian"
There's something about pedigree that speaks volumes of the stuff you're made of.

In other words, your surname and your name are dependent on each other and actually function as ONE when it comes to introducing yourself in a formal/semi-formal setting.

So, I'd rather go with my name IS Margaret Thatcher.
As far as identifying me is concerned, none is complete without the other.
I am Margaret and I'm a Thatcher.
In other words, my name is Margaret Thatcher.

"My names are" should, or, can be used when you need to make known your different names/titles, which to a very large extent are independent of the other.

For Example;

His name is Jehovah Elshaddai.

And

His names are Jehovah Elshaddai, Jehovah Tsidkenu, Jehovah Shammah, Jehovah Nissi.....

My Experience...

Out of camp and into the streets of Abuja...I had an accomodation already planned but because of the wonderful stories of NCCF Family house, I decided to go there...

Packed my bag into the bus and off they drove...

The family house is actually located in nassarawa state and there we went...

We arrived with ever smiling faces and we were served with a big plate of rice and showered with so much attention and then they brought out the rules...

We all thought it was a joke but the Bell by 4:30am made us realise that THIS IS SERIOUS...

I did not experience much and I can't say much but seeing my fellow corps member changing in the bus and in shops along the street just made me realise that was not the place for me...

I'm Born-again and I'm still Born-again without NCCF family house....I love my Privacy and I hate HYPOCRITES...

I also do not believe in the idea of a wrong person loving you right.

I just completed my service year in Ilorin and now i'm considering stayin back for my masters program God willing. . oddly, I do not know anywhere or really av frnds.. I had 1 very great frnd at a time buh well, shit happens... I need friends dt stay in Ilorin and are quite outgoing. . v been dulling ds past months abeg.. u cld be studying for ur masters too.. no biggie. . but no undergraduates please.. except females... thanks. .
