The suspect was paraded by the Nigerian Police on Wednesday.
The Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, has disowned Adesina Adeyinka, a member of a kidnap gang paraded by the police on Wednesday.
Mr. Adesina had told PREMIUM TIMES that he was a student of the school and ventured into kidnapping to raise funds for his school fees. He was arrested along with five other suspects by the Ogun Sate Vigilance Service while holding on to a victim for whom they had demanded a ransom of N25 million. The suspects were later handed to the police.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor of OOU, Saburi Adesanya, confirmed that the suspect was indeed a student who struggled to pay his fees, and was later expelled for not being able to, two years ago.
Mr. Adesanya said the suspect was dismissed for his failure to pay tuition fees for two semesters, and has since not been an undergraduate of the institution.
“He is no more our student, having voluntarily withdrawn from school two years ago for his failure to pay his tuition fees for two semesters,” he said. “And the university policy is that any student who failed to pay for two semesters remain expelled.”
The 26-year-old suspect, who claimed to be a final year student of the Business Administration department, had claimed that his inability to pay his tuition fees made him join the gang as an alternative source of raising money.
The police, while parading the six suspects at the Eleweran Police Headquarters in Abeokuta, said the suspects would be arraigned in court once investigations are completed.

Now I have a feeling this guy knows me in person that is why he is always choosing his words when relating with me. I cant remember him expressly insulting me even though during the Honeric/Odiaero days I made posts that should annoy him, he would leave mine or merely warn me and then hit on the next poster who suggests anything negative. I have had reason to cross paths on many posts and I always want to tell him there how i dont believe his many lies, yet he moves on.

Siena: This was my old address, where I lived back in 2008/9. I got burned by this woman back then, and lost a lot of money. She's so convincing when she lays down proposals, against my better judgement, I believed everything she said.

My address was retained without my permission, it's only when she went "dark", stopped responding to my calls and she moved onto other victims, I realised she hadn't removed my address from her Companies House registration. I had to contact Companies House to get Pinkequity struck off the register.

I hope those currently involved with her get their money back. I didn't, and ended up writing the lot off. I also know the others involved back in 2009 never got their hard-earned back either. That included two other Nairalanders, as well as her accountant here in the UK.

This bullying story has been cropping up all day. In real life I seem to know what its about, but online? i dont get it. Moreso, in a faceless forum like nairaland, i doubt there is any form of bullying here.

Lol technically, both of them are wrong. If you have ever sat for a professional exam, you will know that its all about you. You cant afford to look/cut eyes at your neigbour, else you are out.

Talking about school exams, its difficult not to help even when its wrong not to help.
