It's not enough to use fierce criticism as cover for your crime against the state.
We saw it with Obanikoro. We saw it with many of the PDP looters too.
You can't resort to cheap tactics to escape punishment for your crime. He exposed the fraudulent practice of CBN selling under #100-$1 to certain individuals and companies |

I feel most people in Africa had live a life-before in another realm, but were sent to Africa as their after life due to atrocities in their life before, because Africa looks more like hell.
We're called black not because of the colour of our skin, but the colour of our mind.

Nairaland General › Help Me Answer A Few Questions After Reading This by odysey(op): 6:39pm On Feb 14, 2017*. Modified: 11:23pm On Feb 14, 2017 |
I want to first of all say that Nairaland should have a mystery section if there isn't one
this will seem confusing but bear with me as 1. you know how dreams are 2. it may be a dream within a dream
in one of the dreams, I'm coming back from a place I don't like or walked aimlessly and find myself in a shop,I buy what I need and leave, while leaving I remember I forgot some change in the process of asking for change I get lit on fire and wake from this dream only now I push it further. this time I leave I come back and a new set of people are there, going tru the same process or it appears I'm with them, this time around we escape the burning
Other times I run away while someone is burning or I myself am burnt not so sure anymore. Nonetheless in this version, instead of running away I somehow save them or get them saved. we set out to find who set the fire, about to kill the woman selling stuff, someone interferes and questions are asked all round.
It turns out that the person that lights the fire is a ghost, a soldier who became a ghost with his colleagues while having the argument with the woman selling things and they all got burnt. They say its not the woman's fault. They have been dead long yet gone unnoticed, also they have retained that check point years after unchallenged and they have been receiving payments from the army Since I helped them out (I think I freed them from the cycle) they were to give me all they've earned since they died.
How do I go back to that dream? how do I bring the money to this realm? last question and this is why I wrote this, I woke up panting, its occurs once in awhile waking up from an interesting dream. Question why wake up panting |

MaziOmenuko: Yea; it was a camp meeting at ekpoma. You see, Chris version of Christianity was so strange then that people gathered to witness this evangelical fire burning through the heart of a young lad down at ekpoma.
Unfortunately, some hearthens were smoking weed somewhere behind the venue. The church wasn't as rich as it were so it couldnt afford the luxury of an exclusive space. The free space available was partly used as a rendezvous for weed smokers.
So that faithful day, as the saints gathered to seek the face of the lord, the ganja smokers gathered too, b'cos they were also the children of God. When the saints lifted holy hands in one accord, the smokes from the weed was reaching out too to high heavens as sweet smelling sacrifice. Then came this extatic moment, when the venue was puffed up with ganja smoke emanating from all corners of the venue.
The smoke was soo visible and I am sure lots of peeps must have seen it. It enveloped the audience and in its usual characteristic, got peeps high and freenzy. I don't know about peeps getting healed though, but if you've ever gotten high on weed, you will understand the feeling of 'nothing is imposible'. lol and I tot I've heard it all how many people were smoking? I believe the program was in an auditorium how many people smoking weed enough to fill the place, rise from the ground and descend Atheist spotted Who was present do recap |

There was no way people would not have lost lives,as miscreants would have hijacked the protest, and used it as an opportunity to maim, loot, steal, molest and cause general havoc.

Business › Re: NECA Attacks CBN Over N50 Stamp Duty by odysey: 10:10am On Feb 02, 2017 |
Yarnvibes: Nigeria Employers Consultative Association, NECA, umbrella body for employers in the country, yesterday, berated Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, over its failure to comply with the Court of Appeal’s ruling directing all Deposit Money Banks, DMB, to discontinue the illegal charging of N50 per transaction in lieu of Stamp Duties.
It will be recalled that the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos on April 21, 2016, ruled against the imposition of stamp duties on bank lodgements with value of N1,000 and above.
The Federal Government had planned to raise about N2.5 trillion per annum from the duty.
Ruling on an appeal filed by Standard Chartered Bank against Kasmal International Services Limited and 22 others, Justice Ibrahim Saulawa and four other Justices of the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos, held that the Stamp Duties Act, 2004 did not impose a duty on Deposit Money Banks to deduct N50 on deposits.
The CBN had, in a circular issued to the DMBs, directed them to deduct N50 for stamp duties on every deposit into a current account of N1,000 and above from January 1, 2016.
The circular, which has since been implemented by the banks, came despite the pendency of issue in the court.
Furthermore, even after the Court of Appeal order to DMBs to discontinue the stamp duty charge, the banks have continued debiting customers’ accounts on stamp duty.
NECA and the Organised Private Sector, OPS, had opposed attempts by the Nigeria Postal Service, NIPOST, to compel companies to affix a N50 postal stamp on all receipts, invoices and documents evidencing transaction of N1, 000 and above.
NECA, in a statement in Lagos by its Director General, Mr. Segun Oshinowo, said that “There had been a landmark ruling in the case at the Court of Appeal on this subject matter between Kasmal International Services Limited and Access Bank and 23 others, which declared the deductions illegal.
“NECA has expressed grave concern over the failure of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to reverse its earlier directives to all DMBs to halt the charging of N50 per eligible transaction in accordance with the assumed provisions of the Stamp Duties Act and Federal Government Financial Regulations (2009). The CBN is hereby, advised to do the needful without delay by directing cessation of further deductions and commence the refund of all accrued deductions in the past to their customers.
“NECA urges the Buhari administration to restrain its operatives from pursuing policies that will increase the burden on the citizenry both corporate and individuals. Stamp Duty’s applicability is limited to purchases involving large sums like a house purchase or importation of goods as against the position of applying N50 postage stamp to all receipts given by any bank (or financial institution) in acknowledgement of services rendered in respect of electronic transfer and teller deposits.”

Sammyashol: [b] My observation about Nigeria. Some times I feel like weeping, but never
A country where hard work doesn't pay but connection.
Many of the graduates have been APC/PDP members for years but only good for being a zombie and not for CBN/NNPC jobs.
20 years from now, we will be ruled by the same families. already being positioned by their parents to take over.
The children of the rich can even own businesses and employ workers. But the are never happy unless they get govt money.
So instead of education upgrading the poor, the poor are frustrated and being told to pray to God.
And some youths have being calling for the formation of new party ahead of 2019 please tell me is it not this same set of people that will decamp to the new party?
Nigeria is just an eyesore, nepotism favoured everywhere, an average man don't have hope for a better future. Same set of people recycling themselves.
