Biodun556: There was a press conference he was with Trump in. Trump put a pile of papers infront of him and the idiot just began signing like a school boy. Trump was smiling like a cooked he-goat the entire time. That's when I knew that mugu was selling us live on camera. They didn't even talk they just shook hands and the papers came. I have never seen one head of state hover over another while the other is face down signing papers alone on camera like a chimp

abuzz33: The truth is, the Nigerian and American systems are extremely similar. One issue is the Local Governments do not do anything in Nigeria. People except the bare minimum from them and they deliver the bare minimum. And I actually think the SE local governments are the best, it is worst in other regions. Some regions they dont even know there's such a thing as Local Government Chair etc. Everything you listed is also supposed to be handled by the local government but they're honestly more corrupt and useless than the governors. Governors are celebrities so everyone puts their eyes on them. When we start pressuring local governments, we will see a BIG change because no superman state government can do all of that for thousands of communities. 2 Likes |

Islam for Muslims / Can Someone From The North Explain The Conflicts With Shiites? by Ofodirinwa: 6:16pm On Apr 05 |
Every now and then we get news of conflict between Shiites and the state, or Shiites and Sunni. A lot of news and happenings from the north don't make it to the south and I could imagine it's also the other way around. This thread isn't to cast judgement, everywhere in Nigeria, every state and every local government, has some sort of conflict. I have dedicated this year to learning more about the current affairs of the other parts of Nigeria so don't read this as a religious or tribal question. Our understanding in the south is 'Sunni and Shiite don't like each other', but I know there's more to understand than this. Like all Nairaland threads, aimless people will wander in and try to cause trouble but I will only focus on mature adults. 42 Likes 2 Shares

Depriest2020: Onitsha mentality = intelligence lol, was that an insult or what? At additional 15 seconds is a portal for creating unnecessary traffic jams, unless you think one person will use the road per day. Plus, why spend the next 100 years fixing and patching something that makes a commute less convenient, especially if you spent more to do it? So it can look good on an ariel view on Nairaland.com? |

the serious question is, why is every 'Ijaw leader' Igbo? Jaja of Opobo, Asari Dokubo, Goodluck Ebele Azikwe Jonathan, Patience Jonathan, Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo. What is the meaning of Kalabari in the 'Kalabari language'? 1 Like |

Bro, y'am han Igbo man gini? I love Tinubu. I really love and appreciate that man LOL. Look how this animalistic fool has been thrown in the trash by JAGABAN and he's now h'an h'igbo m'aan. Tinubu has done more to punish the enemies of Alaigbo than many before him. I'm beginning to see his appeal. Let this glorious mandate continue 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Depriest2020: Ok use your own brain, is that the most efficient and logical intersection or does it look cute from an ariel view? Because if it's not logical or efficient people will not use it correctly and the problems will persist. Forget that it looks good from and ariel, while you're driving it won't look like that lol |

Depriest2020: This is so stupid lol. There's no logic in the design. Why would somebody double their commute just to turn on those oversized circles then they could have made diagonal lines that will get you further faster?

Abagworo: If you look at Google Earth, Everything from Asaba/Onitsha to Owerri has virtually become one city, While Aba and Portharcourt will likely merge physically in the next 5-10 years. If Owerri and Aba grow into each other, most of the SE will functionally be one continuous urban amalgamation. 2 Likes |

wediehere1: one of the stupid things that exists in Nigerian political spaces is if you mention any politician they will rebuttal by showing you an Igbo person who doesn't like or criticizes peter obi. Or just mention peter obi to begin with. Nwanne, I live in the US. I have never met Obi in my life. If you want to die, die, but regardless I will be fine and Obi will not attend any of our funerals. 6 Likes |
