Good evening nairaland family, pls study leave with pay in a federal institution, does it have any negative implication before CIC later in life when you want to apply for permanent residency.

Note: you are fully sponsoring yourself.

Frankrobbin, Justmellow, everyone pls give me an answer to this challenge.

Hello Oganammuo,

All IMM forms can be found on cic.gc.ca. However, use the link below to assess the IMM Form page directly. Only download what is applicable to you. Also, ensure your system has Adobe Reader 11 or Acrobat to be able to download, save, and fill the forms before print out.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/student.asp?countrySelect=NG#applications

Unlike online, paper route permits you to do your biometrics on same day prior after submitting. Since you travelling from afar, just sacrifice 2 - 3 days though Abuja VFS doesn't witness same rush as Lagos VFS. But at most, sacrifice 2 days for it.

As it stands, you might not be required to do another biometrics since you've done one in 2017. Though the 10yrs biometrics validity began in July 31, 2018, some re-application applicants during same year as you didn't undergo a fresh biometrics while some did. Based on my recent observation, you're likely not to undergo one again. However, please us updated.

To your last question, the special thing is to make prayer the cover page of your application.

Good luck!
Oh God bless you for this feedback. I was confused, but at peace now. Thank you

You can find a comprehensive list of the required documents on the first page of part 15 and also on IRCC website.

For a boost of confidence or inspiration, browser through this thread or previous to see the list of submitted documents similar to you case/profile by previous successful applicants.

All the best.
Justmellow, thank you very much for speedy response. But I know all the required documents. I've been following and reading a long time.

What I meant is how do I get the visa forms to fill? Is it the same way as in online route, after filling them, then I will print it out to have a hard copy.

Am thinking of submitting in Abuja and not Lagos. Is it possible I can do biometrics the same day, because I will be going from owerri. Or I will submit, go home and wait for biometrics mail?

I was refused student visa 2017, online route, will I do another biometrics, or the first one is still valid?

Apart from putting my documents together in an orderly form, is there any other special thing I will do, other than going to Abuja to submit it?

Pls justmellow, frank, everyone, pls help me with this?

Hello Oganammuo,

No need spiral binding but you can draw out/include a content table for easy sorting out by the VO. Prior to submitting at VFS office, you are required to pay by cash.

Good luck!
Pls can you give me a breakdown or steps in paper route application. I had wanted to do online application, and had paid more attention to it. Now, due to the volume of my documents, I've resorted to paper route. But I don't know much about how to start.

Pls help a sister

You dont need to spiral bind all documents together cos they will still rearrange your document for you at vfs global. Regarding payment, cash only.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for this info. Am grateful

[quote author=Folmid post=84388388]Ties in Nigeria / Evidence of return to Nigeria

I am married and have two children, their ages are: 5 years, 4 years, copy of marriage and birth certificates on (Appendix 6). I have my wife consent to embark on this academic program (consent letter attached - Appendix 7) My wife has a stable job apart from the family business we are running. She is a civil servant with a Nigeria Federal Parastatal, Public Complaints Commission (The Nigerian Ombudsman) as a Senior Investigation Officer in South West Nigeria. (Refer to her employment documents: employment letter; staff identity card; promotion letter and letter of introduction from her employer on Appendix cool.

Sir, pls can you give me a breakdown of how you packaged your paper route application. I had wanted to do online, but just discovered my documents are too voluminous. Now, I want to use paper route, but I don't even know where to start from.
Pls help a sister. Thanks

Gift of deed will be okay. As for your personal and business SOA, showing them will go a long way to convince the vo that you are comfortable and won't have issues coping while your husband is studying. Also, it will serve as home-tie for your husband (you and your business)
Thank you very much Mcobex.

If you are acting as his co-sponsor then you should write a letter stating that's the amount you are supporting him with, but if you don't want to act as his co-sponsor your husband can just include in his SOP that he lend you the money sometime ago and you paid back because he wants to use it for his studies. The transaction needs to be explained so the vo doesn't see it as lump sum.
NB: if you have money in your account it will be best if your husband include your SOA, that will go a long way to convince the vo you will be well taking care of when your husband travels. Also you should include your source of income (working or business) to buttress your point
Thank you very much. I have a business, registered and doing well. We intend printing two or three months SOA, cos it will be much. I don't want to print my personal statement. What if I give him as a gift and prepare a gift deed? Will it be OK?

Pls gurus in d house, advice me on the best way to go about this. I want to transfer 2m into my Hubby's account as my support. What do I present as evidence?
Is it compulsory I must print my account statement?
Or should i write a letter of support and sign it?

But finally, after almost 12months of waiting, approval notice and passport request just dropped.

The gurus in d house, pls help me out. I applied for a study permit through an agent in 2017. Now I want to reapply. I've tackled the reasons for refusal.

Now, do I just go to their site, create an account and start filling the forms according to their directives, or do I need to link my application now with my previous one? If the later, how do I do it?

In the previous posts, someone said he has been trying to link his recent application to the previous one refused.

Pls help me out. Looking at my system, I don't know where to begin.
Pls every advice will be greatly appreciated.
Gurus in the house, pls help me.

APPROVAL ALERT GUYS!!!

I was in the bathroom taking my bath and at the same time playing music with my phone, my music got interrupted and it was an email that entered. Still sponging my body I walked close to my phone to see and it was CIC “donotreply”, you have a new message(s) in your account, I didn’t even know when my sponge fell off my hands. I just picked my phone and ran out of the bathroom like that with my soapy body, my mother saw me on the way and was surprised!.. I told her mum the hour is here Canada just replied and I don’t know if it’s a refusal or approval- she shouted and joined me as I run to my room-. As I was logging into my account my hands were uncontrollably and terribly shaking, My mum kept shouting for grace as my account was loading, lo and behold it’s an approval guys.. we laughed and hugged ourselves grin. Now, Let me go back and complete my shower will be back for the full testimony.

IJE CANADA ADIRO NFE (Canada Journey is not easy!!!)
Congratulations bro.

Pls gurus in the house, does anybody know anything about Douglas College, since following the thread, I've not read somebody comment about it or refer somebody to it. Anything you know about it, pls tell me, for I intend seeking their admission for PGD accounting.
I Will really appreciate your feedbacks.
