....Had to take time to read the cause of the outburst and my inputs are simple..

...Alot of people are making a mistake condemning Uber/bolt job cause I feel they've been at it for quite a long time..If only we all could take time to reminisce our conditions before embarking on the journey...You won't call it a useless hustle.

...Till this day, I still see Uber and bolt as my breaking point cus without it, I won't be having anything to do with my new job and how to cope with it.. Originally I'm a very shy person..So even talking to people or staring at people about houses would've been difficult. The 1month internship ( grin that's what I call it) I had doing bolt, meeting different people every hour has helped me tremendously at my job...craze people full Lagos..no matter the job you do you'll meet them..and I was lucky I worked at the head quarter of meeting craze people before venturing into something else.

...Will I advice someone to quit Uber/Bolt? YES! ONLY after serious and critical thinking..As a young guy, it's a wise decision cus it's time consuming tho puts something on the table everyday. After my first rental, I didn't make any more rental for the next 3 weeks or so! Those 3weeks was hell! The car i was using was already taken if not I'd have happily gone back to bolt without thinking twice..if not for encouragement from few friends and support from someone I met still on this Uber thread....let's not even talk about sales grin that's if you're lucky you might get it once a month. But then, that 1million u get once or twice a month in just a day or two can not be matched doing Uber/Bolt for a year. On a crazy month I had 2 sales. Some People close sales deals EVERYDAY!

...All in all, everything should be a stepping stone, I ventured into being a realtor by mistake while doing uber..But honestly the passion was there! And I've come to realise 90% of the time, whatever you do passionately, would never leave you stranded with God by your side. GoodLuck to us all and may God continue to bless the good people of this thread.

Good morning and a happy new week to every one...

...Please I need anyone kind enough to help me explain how real estate agents work.. (I intend starting with Rentals)
Wow! Today makes it a Month and 1day I made this post on NL. wow!

...I started this year with virtually no direction, Decided to give Uber/Bolt a try.. I met the Good, bad, Ugly..Was really fun on good days and really bad on bad days even tho I didn't last 4months b4 Covid19 showed up.

...I'd say the Covid19 break showed me the "light" I've always wanted in life. To every brother out there, working 6am-11pm, Mon-Sunday. If you're really happy with it, please enjoy it and make money from it.. But if you feel you deserve more, Make Hay while the sun shines..THINK! of something. THERES ALWAYS SOMETHING out there that'll make you who you really want to be.

..Won't be saying much but I thank everyone that responded to the above post. Y'ALL CHANGED MY LIFE in a way you won't understand...Not just the money involved.

..I'm fresher cheesy Sleep Well!!.. Look like a human being! and above all, In the space of one month, alongside Grace and HardWork, I can finally "See" money in my account.

...Today 23/07/2020 I Officially Bow out as an Uber/Bolt Driver. I really love and appreciate everyone on this thread and this platform.

PS:If you need any kind of apartment at all! on the Island, I'm only a DM away. God Bless Us All!

THANK YOU

I have couple of friend's that r into land sales and agent stuffs, I don't really know much about it... But I know the stress is worth it, u will need connection and network as well, its more of being loyal to other agents, that way everyone carries each other along. If u have a place, spread it ard to other each, if they have to, they let u know, when its all said and done, akara will reach everyone.

sofdoc1:

The money dey sweet you ba? grin grin

The money would come, but not so consistent. You can go months without making any sales depending on your location, radius and your options.

The way to start though is that you have to do a lot of netwalking , know the omo onile in your area and build a rapport with them. Also, watch out for houses under construction, relate with the owners.

Present yourself as someone established, they would listen to you especially when they know you're educated and live around. Let them understand you'd get them reputable tenants. Some might tell you they are not renting out, just drop your card, they often change their minds.

The best sales are the ones where you know the house owner directly and have access to the house for inspection.

....Wow. Thanks alot guys, I really appreciate your advice!
I already printed a car wallpaper to add to the packaging.

....Thanks once again guys..May we all find favour in whatever legit job we do to put food on the table. #GodNoGoShameUs

Ive given it a thought and the truth is na cabu cabu win am this period oh. But the stress in it enh na die.

Just imagine, just imagine Abule Egba to Ajah.

Start by 5am.
1st trip from Abule Egba to Obanlede, 3passengers. N1500
Obalande to lekki. N600
Lekki to Ajah. N300
Total= N2400

Ajah to Oworo. N1200
Oworo to oshodi. N600
Total= N1800

Oshodi to Obanlede. N1200
Or lekki. N2000/1500

To Ajah. N300

Total: N2500

Grand total for morning rush
2400+1800+2500= 6700
Net: 5000.

Do likewise for evening rush you must have net 10k.

But the danger and stress involve is on the high side.
...No lies bruv. I've made more money doing drops dis period than on Uber (Only God knows what's happening to my bolt account. I have to wait till they resume)
....Tho I don't encourage going to the mainland cus Police/LASTMA on the island are more sensible and according to one passenger (they need to respect themselves cus dey don't know who is who)
...I only go from Ajah to CMS, morning and evenings, if I get Uber trips in the afternoons fine, if not I go home and sleep for evening rush
...Tho Its not All fun like Bolt, but I wind up with full A.C. nd 4 passengers, most tyms I pick full load @ VGC. Fire down to CMS, sometimes even before people wake up fully I've made 4k.
....Truth is no Mata how hard it is in lag..People will always move around if you're ready to move them - UcheTaxify2018 cheesy

judging from your moniker, you should be in d best position to answer such question grin

The pro is you will get money and may or not pay any commission

The cons: drop off in Lagos can be so risky...drop off in the wrong place and lastma rip you off. Some pickup u must settle agbero and some drop off too u must settle agbero.. some of them go enter bus with 1000 for a 50naira fare.....

grin grin grin grin grin
...Leave my name for me biko

....Uber nd Bolt Mata get as e be..nd i don't want to go and take bk the car i use for it yet..So this car[2008Corolla] I see now belongs to "Press" with the Stickers everywhere which has never been stoped b4(according to d person wey won borrow me) and a free Etag for tollgate cheesy

....Instead of me and the moto to dey waste for house..Im thinking of running Ajah-CMS..At all At all embarassed

You're right shal... But think about this.

Boys grow up to become men and then husbands and fathers. How many responsibilities have added up?

2 right? Mind you his only job has been driving on uber with the same income or even worse lesser income because he can't keep late like he used to do when he was still single.

So don't be quick to judge my brother the country is hard.
I get your point though. Maybe I'm looking at it from my own angle.
May God help us so we dont get to the point of using uber fares to raise a family

Honestly it's gonna be tough. Like I mentioned here last week most Nigerians survive from their daily income.

Most uber/taxify drivers don't have savings.

Personally, I think an Uber driver who has been active in the business for at least one year and doesn't hv savings has a personal problem.

Just my opinion tho

Sorry for late reply bro.
You can go on such time if you need to think or cool off (to me that's what a beach is meant for)
Just don't sit close to the entrance cus there's a guest house there. And those girls won't allow you rest until you light oven.

Used to be one of the busiest roads on a Monday morning. Now no single pinch of traffic...
Drivers on Rental kindly go back and explain things to your partner or better still just return the cars for now....
Goin of leave till further notice. May God provide for us in these Times. Amen...

My experience just now.
I carried this young lady along admiralty road she’s heading to Chevy view.
On our way, I overhead her heat arguments that the boy didn’t pay blablabla.
Ok! I reached the final destination a house beside zazari hotel naso I hear oga park here what’s your account.
Me: okay I’m using Stanbic IBTC but please I have to see the receipt and debit alert before leaving here is that okay?
Lady: ok I’m here no problem
Lady: oga have tried it the thing no go be like say network no good.
Me: but you didn’t asked for my account details?
Lady: don’t worry have got to go inside I’ll come back with money
Me: I remembered a Uber driver they duped with same trick on same spot I had to gave the guy 2k out of 7200 they chopped him. Naso I told her politely ‘baby girl please you can’t go inside or otherwise drop your phone to your security since you said it’s your house then I’ll wait for you’
Lady: what’s this rubbish why will I dropped my phone will I run will i this will I that.
Me: don’t let me take it up with you. With the statements you’re altering. Please drop your phone to him... before I know it with her voice many people don gather.
Oga kilo happen wetting happen you park for road at least clear. Naso I told them what happened. People begin talk their stories and all the securities started saying their part how those girls used to dupe drivers and drivers will hold security responsible.
To cut the long story short, las las the lady no get shishi. See shame na zazari hotel manager bail her out. I wish everybody safe in good health. May god continue to be with us and protect us all.
