shaddoww: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State said it has refunded the sum of N3 million to each of the three aspirants that bought the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms. The action, the party said, was based on the advice from the National headquarters of the party led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi. It urged aspirants to ignore directives by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff that the party’s nomination form be sold for N10million and would only be purchased at the National headquarters. The Publicity Secretary of the party, Chris Nehikhare, who stated this in a chat with journalists, said Edo PDP only recognized Senator Makarfi leadership of the party at national level. He said the nomination form which was initially sold for N16 million was reduced to N13 million and gave the breakdown as N10 million for nomination form, N1 million for expression of interest form and N2 million for administrative charges.

Hab24: President Muhammadu Buhari will visit China on Sunday to sign a loan infrastructure projects deal worth about $2 billion and the low interest loan is to be deployed to finance the N3 trillion deficit in the budget. Though the exact figure for the loan is yet to be confirmed, the Presidency and Chinese foreign affairs ministry confirmed the visit. The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, who disclosed this in an interview with Reuters , said: “I can’t tell you how much until the day the loan will be signed. Both countries will also be signing some bilateral agreements to strengthen their relationship, that is all I can say for now.” In February, financial and government sources said the loan could be as high as $2 billion, but officials have not provided an update since then. The federal government had said it would raise about $5 billion abroad to cover part of its 2016 budget deficit which could be as high as N3 trillion. Lu Kang, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, had earlier said Buhari would visit China from April 11-15 to sign “cooperation agreements” and attend a business forum. When the Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun, visited China in February, a Nigerian government official said the loan deal she agreed on could be signed by President Muhammadu Buhari. “The Finance Minister, in the company of the Central Bank Governor, is scheduled to be in China sometime next week to conclude negotiations on the $2 billion loan,” the official said. Adeosun had earlier said the country was looking for a loan with about 1.5 per cent interest. “We looked at our debt profile and we recognised that one big problem is interest rate. So, we are going to try and borrow as far as possible externally. “We are borrowing at the cheapest rates. So, multilateral loans are the cheapest. If someone offers me 1.5 per cent over 20 years, I think I should take it. "That is why we are going to the multilateral agencies first and, thereafter, concessional borrowing and also tap into the Eurobond market,” the minister had said at a KPMG forum in Lagos. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/buhari-heads-to-china-to-borrow-2bn/ Was it not last week the presidency told Nigerians that they want to pump 3trillion into Nigeria economy, while borrowing again to finance budget? |

Politics › Re: Ex-president Jonathan Infected The Woman, Nigeria With HIV/AIDS (pics) by ogba20: 9:29am On Apr 06, 2016 |
Silvofitz: Nigerians are jus too gullible for my liking. They are so much concerned about their immediate condition. And careless about the etiology of their chronic predicaments. Take it or leave it, Jonathan government was a curse to the nation Nigeria. I couldn't imagine how much was stolen by his team players. But because the effect had not begun to show before he was voted out of office, people still praise him till date. This case could be likened to a promiscuous man, who was flirting around with everything under the skirt, EATING OTHER PEOPLE'S YAM, and in the process, contracted HIV/AIDS, but not known to anyone. This INEFFECTUAL BUFFON, later infected his beautiful wife with HIV/AIDS. And because of his waywardness, his wife divorced him. And there's a good man in town, who had track record of doing good. This good man chose to marry the woman. And shortly after the marriage, the woman began to fall sick, showing diverse manifestations: weakness (liken to weak security), drastic weight loss (like the unprecedented naira fall against foreign currencies), chronic headaches ( threats to national security), chronic cardiovascular diseases ( liken to fuel shortage). Unfortunately, the former husband and his blind supporters jumped to the street (the media) telling how sick the woman that just left him was. That if the woman had remained with him, her condition wouldn't have been that bad. It would take people who have enough protein in their brain to know that the former husband was the one behind her woes. Nigerians, wake up! The previous administrations had weakened our nation. It would take awhile before this present administration could salvage her. Let's pray for healing for this woman, Nigeria. Divine healing is all our once beautiful woman, Nigeria needs. As things are, only God can heal our land. HIV/AIDS is incurable! What she needs is prayer, not trading of blames! we all know where you belong, Zombie group, ur sets of person will accuse examiner or lecturer when you fail forgetting that you didn't prepare for the exam.Zombies. |
